The only question? Because most umbrellas during the communist era in Bulgaria were metal, they didn't need any maintenance, no need to fold and store them inside every night before closing business...
Especially in these windy canyons, near Vratsa I believe.

how common place are those afixed umbrellas on the side of roads in bulgaria?! it still seems out of place, and like it looks a bit different then the original footage,

perhaps the umbrella was placed there to try and coverup what had been filmed.
