That is a very interesting comment. "British Columbia 2010, remember". He whispers it very quickly, so I doubt anyone would have picked up on it the first time watching the movie. I know I sure didn't even hear it.

I think it has possible real meaning.

While the 911 uses in movies have become known to many, it does not surprise me to see some reference to 2010 and the Olympics. I believe their use are for different reasons.

Some believe 911 is used to trigger a mind control psychological induced fear or thought and the recent discoveries in the latest movie could be a preparation of the subconscious to the possibility of such a future event.

A subtle way to get us talking about the possibility of a future conspiracy while distracting us and contributing to the spread of disinformation while inducing the seed of fear in the minds of those so fortunate to discover such movie anomalies.

Then of course there is the possibility that such uses in our most recent movies is to help fuel a disinformation program which introduces fear in a small but controlled manner and helps to create all the concern and discussion that such a possibility would entail while keeping us divided, distracted and confused as to what may be happening when and if some disaster occurs.

Either way, I believe its a distraction from perhaps "Why" it is happening in the first place. Anyway, those are my thoughts. I enjoyed reading the many postings.

Considering how Iran has said it will deliver a telling blow to global powers on Feb. 11 you can be sure that something will be happening.

Especially how it's the Islamic Revolution anniversary, 1 day before the Olympics, and in February:

I hate to spoil the party...but...the movie 2010 was made right here in my home town of Vancouver...crewed by friends of mine, & the "Vancouver" reference was put in the script as a thanks 'nod' to my city...& to the crew for a job well done. Nobody thought it would be blown out of proportion as a "Conspiracy Theory"!!!

That's not predicting anything. It's simply making a claim, for fictional purposes.

It's completely irrational to think this is actually a prediction!

But I did watch the clip in the OP. When I watched it through,

The guy says, "remember bc 2010?" the response was more like an explaination for why they would save certain people. And that this plan was devised 2 years ago at a meeting of some kind that happened to be in BC.

On the other hand, for those who mentioned that a g8 summit in canada is what they were referring to. I don't know if that is in the movie(I haven't seen it). But if it is a reference to the actual g8 summit happening in canada in 2010.......... It is indeed in Canada in 2010, problem is, it is not in British Columbia, it is in Ontario which is nowhere near vancouver/BC.

I live in BC too, and alot of the movie was filmed here. Yellowstone scenes were shot in Kamloops area, and other parts in Vancouver. It could be just a nod to BC'ers to say thanks, but as the build up to the olympics continues, it's important to note that the security for the olympics is costing about 1 billion dollars.

Global News did a piece on it and said this is the largest security force ever in Canadian History! They compared it to East/West Berlin, and said it was unprecedented security!

We got alot of military vehicles flying over and driving thru the Kamloops area heading to the coast the last month or so as well. I've never seen this much activity in my entire life! I think it may be just to get us "used" to the idea of a military presence in Canada.

When the Global asked them if they expected a large scaled terrorist attack they said No, but were preparing just in case.

When Global asked about the 1000 or more camera's that have been installed in Vancouver, if they were going to remove them after the games, they said in a not so clear way that maybe they could use them to monitor traffic and incidents that occur downtown, that could help the police solve crimes!

Yeah Right!! I think its an excuse to turn Vancouver into London, England!!

It may turn out to be chaotic anyways because its been so warm here this winter. Hovering around 7 C in Kamloops for the last couple of months, and no snow. Higher elevations do have snow, but may not be the greatest conditions because of the constant melting and freezing. I wonder what would happen if they had to cancel half or more of the skiing events?

They wouldn't bother, we're nowhere as cool as London to riddle with CCTV cameras.

Geeze guys i'm pretty sure the OP thought that when he stated "olympics in BC 2010" most people would assume he meant the winter olympics, because anyone except the few living under a rock know that they are this year and we have another 2 years until the summer games (then we can start a whole new thread about threats then). You don't have to jump down the OP's throat and act like smart***es to try and prove you're smarter, when all it's done is show how nasty some of you are.

I saw 2012 at the theatres, I heard the reference, I don't know what to think of it, i guess ill just be waiting and watching, I hope nothing happens over there, personally i'd love to visit vancouver one day, it's on my top list of cities to visit.

(ps. I thought the movie was crap! ;p)

When you have people such as "Yourpoprock" and "FAQAmerica" going against obvious and if researched clearly meaningful subjects in such an ignorant way and then you add that to the simple fact of why we are here and what this site is about then it really makes you question what there intentions being here truly are. Well I found the "Ignore" function of the forum a pretty good tool to avoid spending time with unhelpful people. They don't show up on your screen anymore
