Why is the French government's 1999 COMETA report on UFO's totally ignored? This report is much more impressive than the Mexican military ufo video. The investigators have impressive credentials. They are retired, high-ranking French military officials and scientists. The three year study investigated about 500 cases (radar/sightings) and concludes that the "extraterrestial hypothesis" is the best conclusion.
Why is it ignored? Nobody mentions it anymore.

IIRC, the COMETA report brought nothing new to the table of UFOlogy other than a nice theory by some credible people. There have been many, many, many people over the decades with as good or better credentials than those on the COMETA report, such as James McDonald and Roscoe Hillenkoetter who have attempted to dispell the myth of UFOs into something tangibly real, but at all times they were ignored or thwarted in some fashion. The COMETA report covers no new ground or brings to light any new startling evidence for UFOs. It just offers a good alternative theory as to what UFOs are other than the whitewashing of other reports like the Condon Committee report on this subject.

The Mexico UFO video is actually more significant to the cause of UFOlogy as its a true UFO video released and verified by a government source.
