"05 here,.... I've never been much of a contributer untill lately, however I have been actively reading the whole time.

It seems ATs is subject to trends which come and go with popular culture.

However the past always seems better in retrospect, .... Time changes all, and depending on how it changes for us we change our perspective as well, .... we may become more wise and loving, ... or more bitter and regretful.

One thing is for sure, adaptation is the key to survival in any sense.

I like to be blunt, sarcastic and i like to hold my ground.
If that means upsetting a few people and getting in a few arguments, then so be it.
I try and treat everyone well and with respect and i try not to (appear) be rude to people.

But this is a discussion board and not everyone is going to agree... you get extremism and you get people insulting one another, that's just the way it goes.
I say it's better to have a thick skin and give as good as you get than to moan and whine and want to be all lovely and fluffy, because that's not realistic.

Whoever said anything about holding hands and kumbaya. Again, imbelishing to make your point. Heated discussion has always been a big part of what goes on here. Its the quickness to belittle and berate others that i'm mostly refering to.

I wasnt implying anything. I have been very specific about what i have meant. But to further clarify, i responded to your reply to lordbucket because once again, you were putting forth the notion that i said ATS was, in the past, all chummy and we all used to hold hands and swap care bear vids and thats the way i wanted it to be. Its seems you have been so offended that I implied that your a noob and noobs are worthless, that you have lost your ability to reason and politely discuss your differing opinion, which, after i have browsed some of your other posts and replies in other threads, i believe you have the ability to do.

Heh, I should actually be thanking you ... this thread has had a rather significant affect on me. All this crap builds up by being here all the time and one ends upstarting every conversation defensively and from a confrontational stance. It creeps up on you and I wasn't even aware I was doing it ... or even why. So I'm trying to stop doing that now.

I think you're confusing me with others on this thread who have attacked you, because i have not.

I don't think of myself, or anyone for that matter, as a noob.... it's a pretty stupid thing... someone may be new to the site but have lots of knowledge on different topics and have researched these kind of things for years, so judging them solely on the date they registered on this site is ridiculous.

I would imagine as my posts only go back 250 or so... that you would have missed some of the jucier ones, I've certainly toned myself down over the last year... so if you think those posts are bad, you ain't seen nothin' mate.

Don't know what your issue with me is.... but as you're a member who has been here for 4 and a bit years, I would expect you not to bitch so much... but hey, I guess time doesn't have the same effect on everyone right?
