Why Won't My Avatar Work?

Would someone please explain to me why the "avatar" function won't work?
I installed one, and it worked for while, then quit.
I've set it to 150x150 pix, can anyone help, please.

External links "cost" the websites bandwidth ie the one you are deriving it from, so it's a good idea (and good netiquette!) to upload to ATS.

I too am having a prob with setting my avatar. I am on a MAC and there are no directions on ATS for a MAC. Although I sent an avatar lastnight and looked great but today whenI signed back on it showed a red x...like it was a dead image.

Yesterday my avatar was fine and today it's just the red box. Can anyone see my eyeball avatar?

That's happened to me a few times and I'm not 100% sure why to be perfectly honest.
It usually just seems to work itself out after a while though but if it’s bothering you then you could always ask a moderator for help or instead post in the ATS issues thread.

BTW You should know that I can see your avatar as well so it's working perfectly fine now it seems!

GIF and JPEG file formats only with a maximum dimension of 160 pixels wide, by 320 pixels tall. File sizes are not to exceed 75k, and animated GIF's are allowed. (physical size can extend up to 400 pixels tall for images under 50k in file size)

No profanity. No 3rd party advertising for any website(s).

Thank you so much, that video was helpful. I guess imageshack doesnt like ats or something. I used the same exact size dimension images but uploaded them via ats and then saved it under account settings. Thanks a million :-) I remember I had an avatar years ago...remember the ID tachyon..haha yep..

btw malwarebytes blocked thet website. it might be unsafe
