A illegal immigrant that works for under minimum wage
or
a legal citizen who gets minimum wage

What do you mean "Fear Undocumented People"? I don't know anyone who fears "Undocumented People". The fear is in your Imagination.

"Undocumented People" for a start is not the right wording. Illegal Aliens is more Proper wording.

Why do you think they should be given the same oppurtunities as people who have worked hard and jumped through all the hoops in order to emmigrate to the country of their dreams? Most people who enter a country "Illegally" are mostly Criminals who can't get into the country for obvious reasons.

I don't even know why you started this thread? What's it in aid of? Why is it of interest to anyone?

I don't think it has anything to do with people being "irrational" or "losers" because they oppose illegal immigrants. It doesn't have anything to do with the opposition not wanting people to have a better life.

Legal immigrants are more than welcome to come into this country and follow the "American Dream" and become a part of our society and our nation. When they come here through the proper legal channels, they become citizens. They work for higher wages, pay taxes, social security, receive benefits, can get home loans and car loans, and they become part of the system that is the backbonme of American Economics.

Illegal immigrants come here and they become the part ofthe problem that plagues America, like a cancerous disease. They work at jobs that pay them way less than what they should be getting paid. They work for people that are more than willing to exploit them as slave labor and keep them from becoming a productive addition to society. They work with no chance of retirement, health care coverage, disability, unemployment, work force rights, or fair wages. That kind of forced labor is just as bad for them as it is for America.

They don't come here and do the jobs that Americans are too good to do, or too educated to perform. There are plenty of Americans that would take the job that these illegals are doing, however, the employers would rather hire illegal immigrants because they can pay them crappy wages and drive them like a slave labor force without workers rights.

I understand why people want to come to America. Regardless of the America Sucks rhetoric that gets thrown about on this site, America is still one of the greatest nations in the world.

By coming here as a legal immigrant, it not only gives them the chance to live a better life and make things better for themselves, but they would also be contributing to what makes us the great country that they seek to become a part of. Illegal immigration is bring this country down and is slowly asphixiating the very breath of freedom and prosperity that those people have come here to enjoy.

It has nothing to do with the person as a human being, it has everything to do with the means by which they choose to come here.

Illegals get the blame...
Wrongfully so, but they still do...

Lets keep in mind people, a MAJORITY of "undocumented people" are MALE...
These MALES have deserted their family in order to come here.
There ARE parts of mexico that the family unit is now so #'ed up because all the males "providers" are simply up and leaving. Leaving the mother and kids to fend for themselves.

Blaming them for taking the jobs is rediculous...
Economics is not that complicated. It is just made out to be that way...

In truth, you bring another citizen over, yes, maybe they take a job... The way to economy should work, you now have another citizen that is working, making money, that in return is going to spend that money for "rent, food, alcohol, etc." This goes to create more jobs...

The problem we have in the US, is the cooperations, are not creating the new jobs to support economy because they are more interested in the "bottom line", a temporary increase in stock to make money, rather than have a steady stream of income for a longer period of time.

Immigrants take a Naturalization test that makes them a citizen of the United States of America.

Once you take the test, you legally become an American citizen, regardless of where you're from.

Fact : many of them have been living here for many years and are ready to become citizens.
Many have their kids here and these kids CAN NOT be ignored !!! These kids have been educaded and many don't speak their parents native linguage.
It's time to fix it. It's well know that they would be missed if they were gone. All the money spend on their education would be lost.
Ok .., it is against the law come over the border , well so let their parents be punished with a fine and let stay.
Again we can't just stay up the wall and ignore the positives of them being here, can you imagine at least 4 millions homes or apt vacants ? And all the money lost ? In other hand if they get their papers we can see a big increase in the whole economy ...
It's simple to fix the problem regarding new undocumented immigrants, just go after the employer. People need to demand goverment watching the employers , not fellow beings.

unfortunately the government hires illegal workers to so who gonna stop them, hurm us....... dont think so. Illegals come here knowing that there is work to be had, work that people that are legal in America would take if it did not go to illegals. everybody gains but the honest people.

if we got rid of the illegal work then our unemployment rate would get better and u would see change in our economy, it going up because legal people put money in the system, stimulation

It's a misdemeanor the first time when it comes to civil penalties. The part from your link you didn't quote:

Civil penalties under this subsection are in addition to, and not in lieu of, any criminal or other civil penalties that may be imposed.

And the difference between a felony and a misdemeanor courtesy of Findlaw.com for reference.

Most states break their crimes into two major groups: felonies and misdemeanors. Whether a crime falls into one category or the other depends on the potential punishment. If a law provides for imprisonment for longer than a year, it is usually considered a felony. If the potential punishment is for a year or less, then the crime is considered a misdemeanor.

The way the law is written (up to two years imprisonment) it will most likely be charged as a felony since misdemeanors do not carry prison sentences over one year in duration.

I see , people like (or did't stop to think about it) the idea of full jails . One must be sorry for all the suffering going on at jails, ofcouse some deserve being there, but there must be a good reason to put someone in there.

Nope, I don't like full jails in the least. I'd much rather people either enter the country legally, or stay home. If they choose to break the law by entering the country illegally, I'd much rather they be sent home than have to pay for their housing, food, clothing, health care, and cable bill so they can sit in jail and do nothing. Alas, illegal immigrants don't really care what I want or what the law says.

People need to face the reality and stop blaming undocumented people...

Of course, the economy could take off, and then the political calculus would change. But for now President Obama seems disinclined to take on any issue that seems at odds with his main preoccupation: jobs, jobs, jobs.

When someone calls an undocumented a illegal is calling a person a physical objetc, like if it were a static lifeless matter. One must knowledge that the term illegal DO NOT apply to humans , simple as that. Word "illegals" dehumanize immigrants.

There is all to be said, if one go after these fellows he must know it is unfair and unjust. You say illigal immigrants ? Even after knowing that the word DO NOT APPLY. It's like talking with the hand. One must make his own opinion based on facts not based on what he heard ! ! ! The act of think is most of the time a luxury when one can get all his FACTS ready even those facts being wrong.

what should i call them then aliens who are illegal

The fact that u have gone from trying to fight for them to where u are now, makes u seem like u really have nothing left to argue about but are still trying to keep it going. Say something new instead of the same thing over and over. Many people have already told u why they go for them.

U are the hand in this case

il⋅le⋅gal
 –adjective
1. forbidden by law or statute.
2. contrary to or forbidden by official rules, regulations, etc.:

im⋅mi⋅grant
–noun
1. a person who migrates to another country, usually for permanent residence.
2. an organism found in a new habitat.

looks like i can use illegal immigrant after all

Except those of us who have gone through the correct immigration channels and procedures

The correct channels take years and thousands of dollars - Believe me I know from direct personal experience.

What snowball's chance in hell does someone from a small down in mexico have of getting into the US legally?

The whole "i don't mind legal immigration" brigade really mean, "I don't mind white professionals coming into our country, but if you're from the third world stay out."
