Because of the 2012 buzz hitting a peak lately i've decided to survey the masses and see what the majority people think will or won't happen when 2012 hit.

I've pretty much seen everything that most people think but i think this is a good way to get more information and maybe learn something.

Like every other doomsday prophecy, it won't happen.

Nothing fantastic or significant will end the world as we know it...

No massive disclosure will occur

No Alien invasion

No Comets, Asteroids, Black Holes, Solar Flares, Exploding uranium filled Satellites, sudden polar shifts, sun polarity shift, Niburu, Killer Viruses, Catastrophic Galactic Alignments.. etc etc etc etc etc etc

All these things, ever since i was a young boy, were given dates to occur; none ever occurred. Nothing will be different about 2012. 2012 is a money making tool that has had HUGE media coverage - 2012 Fact: It sells more books and films than anything else at the moment.

What will happen though; is that a few of these "conspiracy" theories will change and take on a new date to continue the ongoing saga of bored people with anxiety disorders needing something to fret over. We can expect the 2012 date to be moved to something nice and square and semi distant.. like maybe... 2020 or 2022 or 2024, something nice and rounded..

What might occur, a War, some Famine, Economic collapse and natural disasters etc etc etc

So in other words, nothing that doesn't happen today.

No doubt people will try and put some kind of meaning to the events though.

Can we lock this?! This is the 30th thread with the exact same subject.

Hey all.

For a while I was one of those crazies that are convinced by some of the more spiritual ideas on 2012.

Presently, I have gone far enough to realize that the 'changes' which were supposedly going to happen 'in the future' are changes which can be accessed at any point in time so long as some basic things are understood and there is a desire.

For the most part I think the average person simply doesn't desire to gain the knowledge that it is possible to gain. In general, we are more interested in maintaining our limitations because we think we are 'comfortable' with them.

If the desire is there, then so is the internet. The internet is full of information which can point you in the right direction. In my opinion, the internet is about ten million times more powerful that any religious text in this regard.

My point with this is that by hyping the possible catastrophe of 2012, there are those who will be drawn to the spiritual aspect of it and then will actually do some significant spiritual and psychological research. If these individuals progress to the point that they come to actually understand some things about their true nature, there will be some very interesting results down the road. Especially when the free will/determinism paradox is 'overcome'.

As the day draws nearer, don't be surprised when you see more prophets roaming the streets. Don't be surprised either when they are powerful enough to convince people of their truths.

The challenges we face are enormous. And frankly, I wouldn't have it any other way. In infinite amounts of time, it is easy to get bored. Even if it all goes to # because everyone panics, at least it won't be boring.

At this point the enigma which is 2012 has built into the collective psyche to the extent that there will definitely be an effect.

Don't just wait and see. Meditate on it.
