If you really want to see one, heres some advice. Go outside, lie down on a blanket, watch the stars. But intend on seeing a UFO, and with out doubt i garuntee you, in time, you will see some kick ass evidence.

This will take time, anywhere from 1 day to a million, depending on how much you want it, and how much of reality you are willing to let go.

Jeez, I can't think of the name of the case, but it's the one where the boy was confronted by a smallish UFO out in a rural area of America, and the UFO quickly departed, leaving a powdery white ring on the ground.

The powdery ring remained long enough for multiple investigators to take samples, and every one of them was just flabbergasted by the lab results. The ground at the site had been turned totally hydrophobic, meaning that the soil would no longer absorb water.

Nobody could or can explain how such a transformation could take place, short of bombarding the area with extreme heat and hard radiation, all of which would have required the placement of heavy-duty industrial equipment to accomplish the task. No indication of the movement of heavy equipment was ever observed at the site.

In short, something extraordinary had happened on this rural farm, and the possibility of a hoax was ruled out.

To this day, the affected area remains hydrophobic and sterile.

C'mon, remind me of the name of this case. It's one of the hardest pieces of evidence of UFO contact.

So basically, it's the same principle of wanting to see Megan Fox? If I stand in LA for long enough she'll walk past? No really, I'm serious

Hi Doc Velocity, do you mean this one, for some reason I can't copy the link correctly.

UT001: Analysis of Soil Samples Related to the Delphos UFO event (Delphos, Kansas, 11-02-1971)
From The Black Vault Encyclopedia Project
Background/Objective

The famous Delphos, Kansas CE2 encounter occurred at approximately 7:00 in the evening on November 2, 1971. 16 year-old Ron Johnson was tending sheep when he saw a mushroom-shaped object approximately nine feet in diameter with multicolored lights covering its surface. The object, about 25 yards away, was hovering about two feet off the ground. The UFO sounded like "an old washing machine which vibrates." When it took off it temporarily blinded Ronald with a bright light from its base. Ron went to get his family, and when they returned the entire family saw the object in the sky.

At the site where the UFO had hovered witnesses saw "a glowing ring on the ground" and luminescence on nearby trees. Ron’s parents experienced numbing effects on touching the ring. One investigator said that the soil "felt strange, like a slick crust, as if the soil was crystallized." On examination the soil was found to be impermeable to water and "dry to a depth of at least one foot". A foul odor has also been reported by some investigators .

The objective of this analysis was to build on the initial analysis done by Erol Faruk on the Delphos ring soils in the 1970s . At the very least it is hoped this investigation will be a base case for reference to future analyses. Erol Faruk developed his analytical approach based on his experience as an Organic Chemist. He analyzed these materials using 1970’s technology which has advanced dramatically in 20 years. Computerization, new techniques, and instrumentation have advanced the field of analytical sciences to previously unachievable heights. Yet, Faruk’s work was outstanding and provided preliminary observations and conjectures regarding unknown residues extracted from the ring soils. My approach to the analysis, as an Analytical Chemist, is different; and there is nothing to contradict his initial observations.

Both ring and control soil samples from this event were located on Thanksgiving Day 1998, and received for analyses on December 7th. Thanks to the wisdom of John Timmerman, the samples were preserved in his attic for many years after closure of the CUFOS Chicago office. Documentation/sample labeling existed attesting to their authenticity, and they were encased in their original tightly closed film containers with no sign of tampering.

I believe that there are advanced species "out there" and that if faster then light travel is possible then there is no reason why they could not pay us a visit.

My issue is technology. All the evidence to date is blurry, ambiguous, mainly night time!, dependant on peoples relating their experience etc etc. Now no problem with that given the technology of the past BUT things have changed considerably in the last 10 years. Everyone has mobile phones with cameras and recorders. Digital cameras can take stills and movies IN THE DARK !! Imagine film with an ISO of 16,800 WOW.

So the volume and quality of evidence should be increasing.....but it's not why?

Think of another subject : police violence. Now the evidence in the past was similar in "quality" and volume to UFO evidence. But today we have tons of videos and audio recordings of showing quite clearly all those stories about bad cops was true!

So where is the equivelent UFO footage ?

genuine footage is better than all the hoaxed videos out there . . .

they're not planes nor are they helicopters. I can guarantee you that.

Some sort of elaborate UMV hoax? Maybe.

But the video is genuine.

Im not a skeptic but please explain what makes you think that this is good evidence...
Perhaps not great evidence, i personally don't believe that any sort of great evidence could possibly be presented on a forum; but like i said, at least it's genuine. You'll be hard pressed to find genuine footage out there.

I don’t think it are planes of choppers, perhaps it could be Chinese lanterns, but when one started flashing it where pretty strong flashes in my opinion.

But who knows?

Hey, c'mon, you did ask for Kick Ass Evidence. It had to be done.

On a more serious note, this happened not far from where I live...

Summary: This is one of the strangest Scottish close encounter cases. Robert Taylor, a well respected forester, employed by the Livingstone Development Corporation had an intriguing encounter with UFO that landed in a small clearing in forest near Livingston, West Lothian in Scotland.

There is no proper footage but if you dig around the net you can have a good read about it, if it interests you as the man involved was supposedly attacked and he was from a respectable background etc.

I don't know about kick ass, but this guy from Lake Erie has consistently documented ufo's out over the water, near a nuclear facility, in a no fly zone, and he uses a tri pod. Gotta give him credit for that. The above conditions all lend credibility to his documentations and limit the chances of hoax IMO.
