More info...

Here

The South Korean navy responded by firing about 100 shoreline Vulcan cannons with a range of 3-4 kilometers only as "warning shots" as the North Korean shells landed on its own waters, according to the JCS. No casualties or injuries were reported as both sides fired toward the air and no fishing boats were then on duty.

They fired that much... interesting.

This is a vulcan cannon.
worldweapons.org...
this is the same gun used in the Phalanx CIWS system.

it fires 100 rounds per second.

100 Vulcan cannons firing for 1 second would put out 10,000 rounds.

If the South Koreans have them mounted on something like A land based variant known as C-RAM it would be very interesting if the north attacked.
en.wikipedia.org...

I would have loved to have seen that.

Koreas narrowly avert skirmish as N. Korean shells land in its own waters

SEOUL, Jan. 27 (Yonhap) -- The South Korean navy on Wednesday responded to North Korea's firing of artillery shells with warning shots instead of counterattacks, as the shells landed in the North's own waters, military officials here said.

"We acted upon engagement principles," Lee Gi-shik, a senior officer at Seoul's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), explained. "If it fires into our territory, we do the same. If not, we don't have to either."

He was answering a question on why the South did not respond with a counterattack, but fired only warning shots.

No. The masses are more formidible and have more power than you can imagine. The weapon citizens carry is not a gun, but the more powerful sacred right to vote.

If no one votes, or only a small group votes, the current puppetry system hiding the totalitarian corporate regime will fall, because there will be no legal representative of the masses in charge. No violence or depopulation needed.

Laws and bills cannot be tabled or passed. Funds for governance cannot be authorised. Import and export held up. If the totalitarian Corporations think they can continue on with their despicable ways of using puppets as a front to take responsibility and accountablity, then they are more stupid than anyone can presume and highly over-estimated.

Is this the way how the cookie must crumble? No it isnt, so long as sensible laws are passed that the masses voice are heard, Corporations back off, everyone should be encouraged to vote, and allow the masses to decide upon the candidate or the party that represent them best. This is an educated generation today, perhaps more than the Corporate old foggies seated in their stuffed chair

More news... One or the other will have to back down, otherwise we'll have a war on our hands pretty fast.

Now South Korea says this :

(SEOUL) South Korea condemned the North's artillery fire as "a gravely provocative act" and warned it would respond sternly to future provocations.

So if North Korea does it again... SK will respond...

Now North Korea says this :

"Such firing drill by the units of the KPA will go on in the same waters in the future," the (North) Korean People's Army General Staff said in a statement

So North Korea will keep doing it.

So either one or the other back down... or it's gonna be war.

It need not be war. 2 can play the game and one side play it more intelligently.

Anchor some rusting hulk ships with no one aboard in the disputed waters. Let it be bombed to smittereens, then complain like hell, raise a ruckus at the UN, and sue the N Korean regime to the hilt.

Meantime, get every nation to stop aid and trade with N. Korea. The profit does not justify the killing of millions in the hand of the irresponsible short ass. Our taxpayers money is not to be use for the killing of fellow humans.

Blockade all trade ships entering N. Korean waters till it pays reparations for the damaged hulks, by blocking 'incidents' if necessary. Delay shipments. This will starve the regime to its knees. Hunger soldiers cannot fight living on air alone. Food for guns to be set up on the DMZ site - Buttered prawns, deep fried lobsters, roasted duck, kimchi, etc, by the barrels.

What you and everyone else here does not understand is that North Korea DOES NOT WANT to become part of the NWO. What is wrong with that? I agree with their leader. The people are better off not knowing what kind of crap is going on in the rest of the world. If the Leaders can keep their sovereignty and that of it's people, I say good on them, F_CK the Rothschilds and Rockefellers and all the other Elite pieces of crap!!!!!

In my opinion it is south korea that is the problem, being backed by the U.S. Corporate government. What a farce and a scam.

And there's no oil there and you people still say the same gibberish whether there's resources to plunder or not.

Tell me why starving people wouldn't prefer to be fed?

Tell me why they wouldn't like to integrate and use the Internet and visit other countries?

Would you prefer to be living in squalid conditions with no prospects and I mean NO prospects EVER, (not less prospects than 2 years ago)?

What would you do given the opportunity living in such a country, if you learned such freedoms were potentially attainable? It's inevitable whether the US wants N.Korean's to rebel or not because it's human nature to do so against oppressors.

Eh, nothing new.

North Koreans can be seeing attempting to flee if you stand on the S. Korea border. See the Northerners jump into the river and get blown up by water mines.

Trust me, a little gunfire isn't going to do much but the tension will always be there.

You can't be serious? ( "The people are better off not knowing . .")
Shouldn't they have a chance to deny ignorance too ? Come on !

Rumor has it that there are certain parts of NK that have
absolutely no vegetation whatsoever . . it is eaten as fast as it
grows . . by starving, starving, people. No pets, they're eaten !
And this is . . . better ?

Neither side is right in terms of North Korea or The Illuminati, you can't pick between two evils there SHOULD be a third option, but nobody likes to see anyone starve and i'm sure no one likes what the Illuminati aka Rockerfellers Rothchilds ect ect does either.

You must mean the N.K government and not the people. Ignorance to their living conditions could be the only explanation for a post like that.

Why don't you get off your BS'ing arse and go see for youself ?
Go live off the land over there and see how long you last. Most of
the food is confiscated and saved for the military. Thousands have
died from starvation. But you . . you say that's the way the want it!

If I revealed my sources i would be in big trouble, as someone who posted on another forum stated, "don't leak information that could get you in trouble, they have plumbers trolling here that fix leaks!!!"

I do have a judge friend and an inside in navy intelligence, that's as far as I will go with that. That may have been too far.

And I do work with a man who is from Cambodia, grew up during the Khmer Rouge and escaped to America, and is a documentary film maker on the side. He has been to North Korea and has seen the slums and the poor living conditions. I understand that, but to cave to the Elite and the Crown for world domination is just way to stupid a thing to do, no matter how many people die, sad but true. Again screw the Rothschilds and Rockefellers and all their anal clan. I hope they rot in hell!!! Who needs them? And what a dumbass thing to try and accomplish, World Domination by murder and deciet, lovely.

OK, waving a giant BS flag right here. If NK is such a paradise, then how come they are always crying for food and their people are starving?

Just curious.

I understand where you're coming from daddio, on the world
domination thing. However, life is about priorities. One cannot
fight the Elite if one is not eating. Even though Kim and his
generals may want to thwart domination . . . as do all of us . . .
the people of NK deserve better.

I used to be in Air Force intellegince. I fail to see the mystery when it comes to North Korea.

Did you ever stop to think that perhaps South Korea does not want to be reunited with the North? The official stance of the South is that unless North Korea can bring it's economy up to the level of that of the South there can be no renunification. If you had ever been to Korea you would know that the Southener's look down on those from the North - North Korean's who do manage to escape to the South are discriminated against.

This has nothing to do with "World Domination" as you put it - but more along the lines of prepardness. North Korea is at the best of times, unpredictable. Add to the fact that they are heavily armed and you yourself would have cause for concern.

South Korea does not want a war - they want things to stay remain status quo - as any conflict would mean the utter destruction of the North Korean government which would in turn cause a mass exodus of North Korean's into the South and destroy the South's economy which would result in a massive down turn in the Asian economy that would ripple world wide.

No my friend - we don't that, now do we?

Big news... well not really...

S.Korea Warns North Over Artillery Fire Near Sea Border

The South Korean military will probably fire back at the North Korean coast or waters near North Korean islands if North Korean fire crosses the NLL. "We are going to put pressure on the North by using the most effective ways if they fire shells into our waters," a military officer said. "One way would be to fire shells into waters very close to North Korean coastal artillery batteries."

The South Korean military would launch a precision strike in the event of a direct attack on a South Korean island or the coast, he warned.

As I said yesterday, one or the other will have to fold otherwise it's gonna be war... it doesn't seems like it's gonna be SK that will fold.

Like in poker, the weaker will likely fold, which is in this case North Korea, except if they don't care and want to go all in.
