The real issue is that whenever Obama speaks to ANY audience, it is obvious that he has no soul. He is passionate about only one thing: himself. Even his "passion" is fake when he speaks. He raises and lowers his voice with mechanical predictability.

Please don't compare him to Bush. Bush is a buffoon. To say that Obama is better or worse than Bush is to say that the black snake is better than the white snake. We have not had anything close to a real president since Ronald Reagan.

The Marxists currently infesting the White House are the products of the armchair bolsheviks embedded in America's colleges, universities and media.

They are Toys 'r' Us kids who don't wanna grow up, but continue to live in their fantasy world while Muslims smack their lips at our gates.

They are fools who should be hanged for treason, but instead are lifted up on pedestals by other fools.

America has been politically corrected, affirmative actioned and flogged to death by vermin who should be smoking dope on communes instead of guiding our country.

maybe if he actually wrote his speeches he wouldn't need a teleprompter. i don't think i've even seen kennedy look at note in any of his speeches but he wasn't a puppet robot, whos to afraid to be human so not to lose his power.

Even a picture doesn't show exactly what is going on however. I couldn't quite believe that Obama would use a prompter for a 6th grade class speech. This article by Steve Pendlebury seems to debunk that.

It's a distraction thread (not to mention misleading) because ats concervatives cannot address the truth that their judges have just opened the door for foreigners to influence US politics.

I say Bush admin did that all the time. But no conservatives ever want to address the issue nor to give adequate protection to the american middle class and small businesses.

Oh yeah btw, I do find it extremely hilarious.

Personally I find this to be quite hilarious. When you see the wide angle, you can see that the direction the President is looking in as he looks back and forth to the teleprompters is basically at the classroom's side walls. Pretty darn amusing to me that he can't even go 'off the cuff' to a classroom of kids. I wonder if he has a teleprompter at the dinner table when its just him, Michelle, and the kids.

Yes, yes, it's very hilarious, reporters = 6th graders.

Change the goddamn thread title please!

Keep track of all the people that voted for obama and think he can walk on water, So when he fails big time we can tell them I told you so. Every body hopped on the obama band wagon when he was running, every body said they loved him etc etc, just wait until he messes up and is recorded as the worst president ever, then people will start saying they didnt vote for him.

He's gonna have to bust his butt trying to surpass his predecessor in the worst president ever category.

Yes, this seems to be the best we have. Nothing greater could come from America these days. I fear for the future of our country too; when my generation of politicians are trying to run for election we're screwed. I'm 18 and it's sad to observe people in my own age group for being so ignorant it could be a crime. I get lost when trying to converse with half of my friends because they can't even follow the simplest of things; I have to dumb down my own logic to fit in at all. And the worst thing is I'm not extremely smart, above average maybe; so in making these observations on the intelligence of people my own age it becomes apparent that we're headed down a bad path. Stupid will be the majority, and majority rules.

Obama is an empty suit.
Don't believe me? Just listen to his State of the Union speech
on Wednesday. It will be a lot of......nothing.
He will blame George W. Bush and then start mumbling about
ObamaCare and how we are all out to get him.
His basic problem is that his GIANT ego is smothering his
eternal spirit.
----------------------------------------
I'm waiting for Obama to go to Nevada and try to get Harry Reid
re-elected.
I hope he takes his teleprompter with him.
Las Vegas is in an economic toilet because of what Obama said.

Today's lesson... Look deeper.

That goes for everyone!!

Agree.
Look deeper.... before you vilify and ridicule people.
Look deeper.... before you go to war.
Look deeper.... before you open your big mouth.
Apply to everyone.

It is one of my source for entertainment, among others.

I used to be strictly an atsers and very rarely go to abovepolitics, until they're merged them together.

Gotta love Politicians. The glories of Democracy.. our Republic is run by imbeciles.

By the way .. hmm .. gotta give Mr. Obama credit for one thing: Unlike the last President, he could at least read the prompter... so maybe.. maybe this is a sign we are moving in the right direction again eh? Our president is literate!

At least Obama sounds like he's out of the grade he's speaking too. Bush on the other hand, sounded like a 55 year old moron in the class...

Good thing about these threads is that it shows us who the real idiots at ATS are.

Seriously, what an idiotic thread. Finding just about anything to turn it into something else. I think most of you are not as intelligent as assumed when I joined ATS. True faces are coming out.

Jon Stewart Mocks Obama For Using Teleprompter In Sixth Grade Classroom (VIDEO)

John, funny as usual. I agree, it is a bad visual. Unless the admin is so sneaky, they set it up to trap the opposition bloggers, to make them look like a fool and create a distraction.

Nah, I don't think so... It's the former.

Explanation: RE: "Semantics maybe? "

Semantics absolutely!

Thread Title: Obama Uses Teleprompters When Giving Speech To 6th Graders.

Obama: proper noun. 1. Last name of the current POTUS!

Uses: verb 1. To put into service or apply for a purpose; employ.

Teleprompters: plural noun. 1. Trademark name for an autocue.

When: conjunctive. 1. At the time that:

Giving: transitive verb. 1. To perform for an audience:

Speech: noun. 1. A talk or public address:

To: preposition. 1. In a particular relationship with:

6th Graders: plural noun. 1. Student who is enrolled or attends classes at a school.

Did this event exclusively occur EXPLICITLY like that???

NO! Here is why ....

Response from the white house...

"White House says teleprompter only in room for press event, not address to students."

NOTE: All edits to bold, italic and underline are for my emphasis OK!

So yeah.... What johnny2127 posted was a hoax in the context that they posted it!

Now as regards to "Regardless, you can't scream hoax when he DID use them."....

Where in my post did I claim that "its a hoax because he didn't use them"???

I claim that I made no such claim! and I ask that you either retract your claim or provide proof to back your claim up OK!

I can validly call HOAX because Obama didn't use the teleprompters to talk to the 6th graders in isolation and that is what was directly implied by the semantics of the threads title!

Personal Disclosure: So yeah....REALLY!

To the mods: I suggest that ATS start a new forum and give it a title such as the "CIRCLE JERK" forum or something that conveys a similar meaning. That is all this thread amounts to. What a flaming waste of ATS hard drive space and band width. This takes the cake.

Pretty darn amusing to me that he can't even go 'off the cuff' to a classroom of kids.
I find it pretty darn funny that you cannot even read your own source that you use to put Obama down.

He was not talking to a bunch of kids.
He was talking to the press.
Hence, a prepared speech and not an "off the cuff speech to kids".

From your source.

White House: This morning the President and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan paid a visit to Graham Road Elementary School in Falls Church, Virginia. President Obama was addressing pool reporters.
www.realclearpolitics.com...

I find the level of ignorance displayed in the assumptions and inferences here astounding.

How about instead of riding the guy for not writing his own speeches, you guys actually check your own speeches and find some facts to base them on.

Anyway, not that I want to get in the way of haters that are going about hating.

Ok this should end the debate and this article is a from one of my favorite news sources.

Obama Deploys ‘Prompters for Primary School Appearance — Not for the Kids, for the Media

The conservative blogosphere is buzzing this morning about news that President Obama relied on a teleprompter for his remarks to students at the Graham Road Elementary School in Falls Church, Virginia. And it would surely be funny if he had. But it doesn't appear that he did.

Obama held two separate sessions at the school -- the first with students and a second for the media. And while he did use two teleprompters for his comments to the media he did not use them for his discussion with the students.

www.weeklystandard.com...

Maybe Obama will just stick to note cards the next time he delivers a 5 minute speech. Much easier to set up and he can even write in crayon if he needs to.

Here is a thought.

If all it takes to be President is to read from a teleprompter, does this mean Palin will be next?
