Have to say this is a weird one, was out having a cigarette on my balcony and managed to capture the linked video of a yellow/green flashing object at a distance of about 1Km, it moved very quickly to different points, a lot like a hummingbird moves. It was silent as far as I could tell, I managed to get two videos of it before it vanished all together. The video does not do this thing justice and I'm spewing I didn't have my hD camera. I tried to use the house window as an idea of scale/distance because it was too dark to make to much out through the camera which was in so called "Night Mode". Am interested in hearing what people may think it was.

Why is it that every video of supposed UFOs that I see that are set to music and/or have fancy text intros I discount right off the bat?
Is it just me?

I can assure you this is genuine, I don't know what this was! And whats wrong with adding some music and titles to explain what it is.

you know I see lights that act like that often. the first time I saw one I was in the middle of an ummm...."vision
" and it just hung in the sky bright as can be for a good 3 hours then just randomly left.

I now see the lights regularly and I just got 2 of them on film (first time I saw 2 together). I don't have a cord for my camera but I will try and get it posted as soon as possible. I believe they come in the SW sky.

I could not Possibly agree more with your statement. Music immediately for me bunks the whole video. To me the camera man has put music over his faked video to increase the mystery of it, when all it does is make it corny.

Text is a bit different as it explains the details, but over the top fancy text bunks the video also. There is no need.

Thanks for sharing your video.

Next time try to get more perspective so we can see surrounding area better.

I have one question though?

What is the name of the music on the video?

The music does not have anything to do with its authenticity. I would appreciate it if comments could be related to what this object could possibly be.

Well I personally like the way they play bass. I will go look them up thanks.

I know it's not the topic of your thread but your video turned me on to a cool band that is very hard to find stuff from. Thanks.

So maybe the other poster doesn't know how to turn the volume down, but I found the tune helpful for me to stare at a very boring video for 5min.

In fact I've watched it 5 times (only to listen to that cool song).

So ignore that guy's detractions. You have good taste in music, imho.

Well, I can tell you what it looks like. A faint greenish light.

It could be a number of things really, and my best guess is your computer monitor power LED light filmed in a dark room?

I do not really see many potential comments to say, other than a repetition of your statement.

A faint light...

We will just have to put this one up to eyewitness account, since the quality of the video is so poor.

Care to describe the event in more detail? And possibly post video #2 you mentioned having as well?

Examples:
1) How long did the event last from your first viewing it to it's disappearance.
2) What directions did it move in (you said it moved some).
3) Are there any airports nearby or other sources of air traffic you may be more accustomed to?
4) Give us a detailed account of the thoughts that went through your head and anything weird you noticed or felt as you saw this object.
5) Do you have video versions where the normal audio is playing and we can hear your footsteps and stuff?

Look, I don't think your a hoaxer. Here is why.

Hoaxers 99% of the time come up with a better video than the one you posted.Your video actually looks genuine. It's that poor of quality.

If you could post the original video without any music playing that might add a little to your credibility.

Music could be used to cover any telling audio up? Perhaps sounds you don't want us to hear that may reveal your video to be bunk?

Then again it does add a bit of sensory stimulation over a 5 min video of a faint green dot that could literally be anything

The whole event took about 6 minutes, it moved in pretty much all directions but sort of only in angles, i mean it did not really move up/down side/side.
The airport is far away from my location we do not get any commercial traffic , occasionally light aircraft like cessnas and pipers fly by but this was definately not a light aircraft I know of. I cant say I felt any different than normal, I was kind of in awe of it, I have to say i'm not easily impressed easily but it did impress me. I am uploading the other video now with the original audio intact, although as in the other video with music there is nothing to hear.

Okay, if we are done with the discussion of musical preferences,

maybe we can get at the issue at hand?

Personally, I don't buy into it - it is just a flickering light and

could be just about anything.

Now, If you REALLY want to see a video that matches the title of this thread, have a look at this -

It's a brand new video taken in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Interesting - huh ?

What I find paticularly fascinating is the shape of the object and also the

Glowing bright light that flashes about 3-4 times in the video.

Notice also that it glows very very brightly towards the very end of it.

What could it possibly be. Energy discharge ? Powering up ? A Holographic

projection ?

IMHO, though it could very well be an extraterrestrial craft, I'm going to

go out on a limb and vote BLUE BEAM testing, probably.

Now, I (could have, but) didn't want to start a whole new

thread for it so am inserting it here only as it closely matches

the Posted Thread's Topic. I'm not sure if it is or isn't a boo-boo

to do it, so mods please go easy on me, but if it needs to be

posted elsewhere - please go right ahead..

All I want is to bring out the truth about this phenomena

in the open and well, as the ATS motto goes - "To DENY IGNORANCE!"

No offence meant to the poster of this thread, by the way.

How could you tell it was moving? I see movement in the video which I assumed was from camera movement. Maybe get a tripod and use that the next time you film something like this. I carry a small one with me only about 6" tall that can be placed on top of a car or whatever. And if you see movement, that doesn't necessarily mean the object is moving, there is a visual effect associated with observing solitary lights at night called autokinesis which appears to make them move when they are stationary.

Many sightings of UFOs have also been attributed to the autokinetic effect's action on stars or planets.

My first guess was that it was a planet but aircraft seems like a possibility too.

You say it's definitely not a light aircraft, how do you know that or what leads you to believe that? There's really not enough detail in the video to rule anything like that out is there?

I don't really object so much to music but I agree with the complaint lots of people have that in some cases the original soundtrack may provide some clues that the music would cover up, like comments about the object as it's observed are often recorded, especially when there's a group of people but sometimes a solitary cameraperson will narrate on the video. In your case it's a little different since we know who the photographer is, but the typical youtube UFO videos with music substituted for the original soundtrack do have a bad reputation.

I prefer the OP video to yours. The one you posted appears to have fake camera shake. Why wouldn't the person taking the video centre the object of interest in the frame? Or zoom in more?

I could tell it was moving because I was looking at it, it was not the Autokinetic effect. I was not prepared to be shooting a UFO that night as the 2 videos were shot using a Nokia E71 and not my Sony HD camera which I wish I had at the time. I also know it was not a plane or helicopter as I am very familiar operational aircraft (hobby of mine) and this did not fit the profile of any of them, not to mention the way it moved and the colour. Seeing it with my own eyes is enough proof for me and I just wanted to share what I caught even thought the quality is not that great you can still make it out. I would like someone who studies the video on this type of thing to comment as it truely was strange.
