About Yemen, Haiti and the Johnston Atoll

Nice thought, but the relative distance between those three areas on the globe is not the same.

The legs between Haiti and Yemen, Yemen and the Atoll, and the Atoll and Haiti are all materially different distances from each other.

I happened to a have a physical globe handy. Check for yourself.

What i find strange is that the US military had troops and emergency supplies ready for a week or two in Florida as they were expecting a Hurricane in Haiti.
So when the Earthquake happened, they were ready..........Strange?
