This just gives ammo to the tinfoilers that call anyone that disagrees with them 'dis-info agents' or 'debunkers'. LOL, I am sure you guys hate it when people use facts and logic to show your posts to be wrong. Personally, if I post something, and someone can show facts showing I was wrong, I don't mind it. Means I learned something new. But some of you are so mentally fragile, you cannot even allow yourself to think your out-there ideas are not true and wrong.

Yes, this Czar of Obama's proposed this before he worked for Obama. Yes, it is wrong if they do this. But, sorry to say, they weren't talking about sites and groups like ATS. They were talking about the chat rooms that 'domestic terrorists' discuss their ideas. And the groups that plan those activities. If people on ATS do that, then I would argue they are sloppy and bound to be unsuccessful in their aims regardless.

My main point is simple; most people that disagree are not dis-info agents! Debate is healthy, blind agreement isn't.

Well, in ITALY all videos have to be passed through Government BEFORE they can be posted on the net.

It already has happened, it's already happening and the careless, soulless sheeple are not willing to make the sacrifices necessary to forcefully stop such terrorism and tyranny.

Obama confidant's spine-chilling proposal

One thing I'd like to know though is, how come they aren't just using computer analyzing systems to find 'trigger' words and such and then focus on those websites/chat rooms? Or are they?

They are. They do. Always have. Let's not fool ourselves please

Not everyone on here is a conspiracy theorist. Believe it or not, places like ATS get used as recruiting grounds by some elements. And to spew anti-government sentiment by others. If ATS were merely a bunch of tin hat wearing, UFO enthusiasts, then there would be no need to have covert agents "monitor" activity. Bottom line is that those elements do exist....and I see it every day in numerous threads right here on ATS. Are they mostly frustrated individuals venting? Sure. Are they ALL merely venting? NO WAY IN HELL

Does it mention ATS by name?

ATS is hardly a hotbed of insurgent thought.

Heck, the great majority of it is second rate regurgitation of alex jones, rense or someone elses work or it's a rehash of topics from teh 70's that have been debunked so hard, it's entertaining only to watch them resurface here.

Oh but wait, I'm being critical here, so therefor I must be one of them! But I've just admitted my being critical, so maybe I'm not! Or am I?

Serioulsy though, this is laughable. Nobody would announce it, they'd just do it.

I don't see the issue, you have boat loads of right wing apologists and wanna be revolutionaries touting their badness in between bites of cheeseburgers.

It's like a rush limbaugh show ion some of those threads.

ATS, you have to shovel a lot of snow to get to the cabin...

okay you should probably post the actual headline seeing as how it's someone close to obama not obama himself, and there is absolutely no direct mentioning of abovetopsecret.com or any other conspiracy site.

In terms of undermining us:

If this goes forward (most people in their position would consider this a waste of money/time so I doubt they actually will), they will do more than come onto these forums and try to debunk things.

they will post obscene things in an attempt to trick us, maybe even going as far to as to fake an event, also meant to mislead us.

From what I understand, we have brilliant minds on here who know a good load of BS when we see it. I suppose only time will tell.

Just sayin'

I don't get why everyone is so down on Obama, just look at this site and you will see that he is the hardest working president we ever had. This guy is constantly doing things that other presidents had groups for. I really am amazed by him.

Exactly. This video is from before this guy even worked for Obama and he never mentions any site, much less ATS.

I am sure you and I will no be called 'paid dis-info agents' for pointing that out now. LOL, can't win with some people.

How about some examples of your statement please? Seriously, please provide some examples.

And to answer you question; the reason I am 'down' on Obama is because of all of his campaign lies and how he undermining democracy every step of the way.

Well. . .this isn't really news is it? I mean they've "infiltrated" every organization on one level or another for over a hundred years. I don't believe that this should even be posted. . .as we already knew "they" were here. This story is like. . .announcing that obesity is directly related to over-eating.

They probably need a good source like ATS to find out what is going on in other parts of the government. Cause they sure as hell don't have a clue

Columbine is hardly, or even barely even remotely anything at all like a internet forum.

There's plenty of bad apples in here as is. lol

With the sheer volume of written word on the internet, none of it brings people to the streets, not a word of it can shake the apathy off the voter in the industrialized nations.

we get worked up to a point where we respond and then.... nothing. Unless someone responds to our response, then we respond again! lol

I fail to see how this compares to walking into a school with loaded firearms and blasting away at fellows students and teachers. That is an exhibition of mental instability brought about by disaffection, poor rearing and a loose society with a lack of morality and ethics. (Looking at you America)

the more information that is made available, the more apathetic people become. There is no time to digest all the data AND take action too. So keep inundating everyone with data, and no one will do squat about anything.
I can think of an entire website filled with people who do nothing but let their opinions be known.

when's the last time you gave 5 bucks to the red cross without being asked? Or some other like institution?

I rest my case.

Jesus. Way to fearmonger. Way to use the tactics of your supposed enemies.

Well, at least you didn't bother to read the whole article, which had some interesting points in it. But then reading, and promoting reading an entire (shew so long) article would be counter productive, eh fearmonger?

Fearmonger fearmonger fearmonger fearmonger.

Oh- this is old new, note the date on your article, come back here and look for anything on this very topic which may have already been reported.

Late to the party, but your tin-foil hat still grants you admission, fearmonger.

I am always fascinated when a movement or organization believes that attention means they are correct. A crazed maniac with a gun pointed at your head is just as dangerous if nor more so than an avenging watchman.

Noone is saying this means we are correct... I see that you are living in England, a country whose people are losing their liberties faster than the people in the U.S.... Let me ask you this... Do you understand what "FREEDOM OF SPEECH" means?....

We have seen in this same website how some government agencies infiltrate some of their own police officers to START violence for the goal to claim such a group has resorted to violence....

This is a known fact. We even had a video somewhere in the website about people protesting against some world government meeting, can't remember which one it was now, and how two men who wore ski masks started trying to incite violence amongst the people protesting....

One of the men that was protesting yelled those two men just arrived and noone knew them, and he asked them to take off their ski masks, more people who were protesting started asking the same.. Then suddenly the police allowed the two men who were wearing the ski masks to enter the area they were protecting because the people were trying to take off the ski masks from the men, and the men were not detained and they were not asked to take off their ski masks.

That is a prime example of some of the tactics that are being used to try to incite violence amongst groups of people who are protesting dictatorial policies being implemented by world governments...

The fact of this situation is that an Obama nominee, amongst the other Obama nominees, are advocating to infiltrate, and to discredit any and every group, and website that is protesting agaisnt government policies which are dictatorial and which are unConstitutional...

The entire Obama administration staff are proponents of a one World Government, and to give the sovereigty of the U.S. to the U.N.

We have several links with documents, this is not the only one, that shows what the Obama administration has in mind.

Are you claiming that people do not have the right to speak freely anymore, and to be able to post anonimously, and without fear of retaliation by the government, because we do not like the policies being implemented by the government?....

I was born in a country where similar policies were implemented, and others which were worse, and such a country is still one of the most dictatorial governments in the world.

That country is Cuba.

I have translated into English from Spanish letters from former political prisoners who were imprisoned in Cuba so that the proper authorities in the U.S. would know what these people were going through, and to try to help them get political asylum because they were being imprisoned for just saying that the Cuban people deserved to live free without fear, and some of these people were just poets, and even a Cuban journalist.

Some of these people were able to escape Cuba, and they could not return. If they returned they would be once more imprisoned, or worse, and no, they were neither violent, and they NEVER incited any sort of violence...

These people were being beaten during their imprisonment just for wanting a better way of living, for freedom for the Cuban people, and these men and women were NOT inciting any violence.

Even when these former political prisoners were released the Communist thugs of castro would not allow them any respite... These people could not get any sort of work anymore because the government has control over all infraestructure, and the government owns all jobs.

They couldn't even use the "libreta" to get food, and had to live off whatever their families could provide, whenever they could, even when the regular people in Cuba barely get enough to eat, and there are people who do starve sometimes because they cannot buy food.

The United States unfortunately seems to be heading in the same direction as other Socialist/Communist dictatorships and this shouldn't be allowed to happen...

BTW, I am not inciting any form of vilence but I am sure at least some of the Obama fans, and the Obama agents will try to twist what i am saying in their goal to silence anyone, and everyone who dares talk against the policies of the messiah, and his administration...

This should not be happening in a county that is supposedly free.... People should be able to voice their opinions without having some official thugs scan through every word they write, or say to try to discredit anyone, and everyone just to save the "messiah" and his administration who can do no wrong according to the Obama fans...

This is how Socialist dictatorships form.

I am sad to see this happening in this country, a country I have come to love more than the country were I was born in...

You are entitled to your opinion, doesn't make it right just because you say it....nor does it when I. I personally see it as naive to have your stance...but that's neither here nor there.

BTW, I give a substantial amount to charity yearly...including the Haiti earthquake. Shows how well you can assess someone via a forum...makes your above quoted response to me look that much more....

really ... if they shutdown ats, nothing good will come out of it for them

the community will create a better website and a better community

so, they probably will try to monitor closely and very probably they have access to statistic and personal messages ...

thats a fact ... I saw large communities getting taken down and you always see a better and greater as a result

I welcome more challenge.

It'll get rid of the people who cannot think.

It'll appeal to those who are only capable of emotion.

It'll sharpen the wits of the people on the right track.

It'll make the government have to actually LOOK at what people think when they believe no one can blame them for it. They'll actually have to PAY ATTENTION in order to do this. Which is probably a good thing.

Do I care? Not really. I'd have started it a long time ago if I was in charge.
