A Question About Something that I Saw Tonight

Many times in the past I have seen what I can only describe as looking like a star moving across the sky. I have seen threads about this on ATS before, and have talked to other coming to the conclusion that what I was seeing was a satellite.

Tonight however I saw one of these, and it puzzled me as it was so cloudy that I couldn't see a single star, yet there this thing was moving across the sky. It appeared to be below the clouds, but other than that it just looked like what I have seen so many other times. There was no noise to be heard like from a plane, and no blinking lights or discernible shape that I could make out. Like I said, it just looked like a star that moved across the sky a ways and then faded out. I tried to take a picture with my cell phone, but that didn't turn out too well.

I am not claiming a UFO sighting or anything, well I guess I am, but only in the fact that I could not identify it. I guess what I am getting at is I would just like to know what it could have been.

Could it have been the International Space Station?

I mean, if the clouds weren't too thick perhaps it would have been visible while still they blotted the starlight. It's pretty bright.

Sighting opportunities

I completely understand what you mean about not seeing blinking lights, but if a friend of mine swore she saw a UFO, and we all watched completely transfixed on this glowing object moving through the sky. We didn't see any blinking lights, just bright lights moving. Also on a very cloudy night.

Sadly, as it broke through the clouds we realized it was an approaching commercial liner.

Just food for thought. The clouds make it hard to verify, in my opinion.

Could be anything from satellites, meteorites, or scout ships from Zeta Reticuli.

Do you only see them from your house, or any place you're at?

If that is bright enough to be seen through the clouds even when no stars can, then maybe that was it. I'm not sure where that thing would be exactly but I am in Southern VA, it was about 7:30PM or so, and the object was in the E. seeming to move in a SE direction. I don't know if that info will help at all...

I picked it for Danville which is about as south in VA as you get. I saw nothing listed for Jan 16th.

saabacure wrote this i thought everyone would find it interesting...

According to Peggy Kane at Reveserevp.com, SUMMARY....

We live in a matrix, which is controlled by reptilians. Our true creator is young and immature so he lost the control to the reptilans in the past. But the God has regained control of the matrix and according to Peggy, all the reptilians are now stuck in Saturn. Saturn is hell where our past controller of matrix resides.

According to Peggy, our real god, the one, will regain his power and the world will soon know

I have seen star like moving objects. I have also seen them pretending to be a star.
Whatever these things might be, I can guaretee that you will not go any further than seeing these things.

I have seen one oh these as well. Tracked it in the sky until it came to a stop and then reversed its direction. It blew my mind, I started a thread about it here.

Hmm did it in anyway seem to have a direction to it?.. I know you say it looked like a star but how much like a star.

I live near a rather busy air route and ive watched alot of planes moving through overcast low clouds during winter with lights on at night and they make quite a bloom of light in the surrounding clouds which at a distance can be rather star like although you can often notice the 'glow' is slightly ahead of the lights path... which is what I mean by direction.

Although given how you mention no sound or nav lights it doesnt sound like a plane, they always have a red light from experience.

What sort of distance was it, out on the horizon, or more above you?.. if it was above then its a puzzler, but if it was out on the horizon then it could easily have been a distant plane flying through the base of the cloud cover with its bright white headlights on, since the red /blue/white nav lights tend to get drowned out in the clouds, headlight glow and nimbus they often produce in that situation.

Flying low through the cloud base would also muffle distant engine sounds sufficiently enough to make it appear silent.

Must admit though i did once see a 'star' quite a bright one do something similar to what you describe passing right over my location, it looked real high up until it appeared to move 'into' the clouds on the horizon... still cant be certain since it was dusk where clouds and sky tends to blend far to easily and it could have just appeared to enter the clouds when really it might have just faded out as the clouds passed between me and it.

Interesting all the same, keep a vigil out each night for a while... might come back and might be more easily identified.

Yeah, I'm not quite ready to go that far with it. Just a light, I saw no signs of green/gray/reptile men.

I know what you are saying. I thought it may be a plane too at first, but it was pretty bright, and I live in a pretty quiet area. I can hear planes pretty clearly when they pass over. You are right though, the clouds do make it hard to tell.

I suppose it could have been a satellite, as that is what it looked most like, but I didn't think that they would be seen through the clouds. Not a meteorite though for sure, it was moving too slow, at least I have never seen them move that slow.

I have seen them from other places, but not as often. I think that is because I spend a lot of time looking at the stars from home. I smoke outside, and have a habit of watching the sky while I am out.
