I am posting this because I havent found any other reference to it on ATS so far, if there is one already feel free to remove.
First off I am curious as to whether the overall event happened and if so was it reall at the scale suggested in the article? If so it would be signifigant. The reaction of the Chinese govt. to a sighting of this scale (if the overall event has happened) should be interesting to say the least. Could the ufo event be a deliberate provocation to a draconian govt.?

Strange and curious, i've not seen much reports coming from China, maybe i'm just blind.

Are there any other links, because this one doesn't work?

Not much of anything coming out of China on most MSM sites...So there MUST be something happening there!

In China the UFO mega-events are continuing unabated and the last few weeks have been extra-ordinary for that nation's UFO community.

A new mass UFO sighting by millions of witnesses that occurred on January 11 has sent the Chinese media into a frenzy. This event occurred in the western Chinese region of Xinjiang and was seen over a very wide area. Photos have come to light (see below) and film footage is expected to surface.

Witnesses to the event described the sudden appearance of what at first looked like star which shortly turned red before turning green and morphing into an enormous traditional flying saucer shaped object.The UFO was then described as rotating, turning blue and vanishing.

Some witnesses claimed to have seen the UFO land on a mountain before shooting off in an easterly direction. Other witnesses described the UFO initially shrouded in white mist.

Many eyewitness reports have already been collected and can be read in the sources below.

The local Astronomy station has declared the object to have been space-junk. Many witnesses however believe that what they saw might have been extraterrestrial in origin.

Maybe it doesn't work because the address is in chinese letters or something, i see the address as "www.--.com..." etc, the lower link works though. About the lights.

Is the site itself in english? maybe someone who is able to go there, could copy-paste some material?

Yes judging by the photos it is the same event but I dont see how its a Spiral. Its been overshadowed in a way by the Spiral event oddly enough.
the text I read has some morphing from star shape to classic UFO craft as well as a possible landing.

Yes, there is obviously something major happening over there. Apparently still photos taken had a short shutter opening and did not show the spiral effect that the eyewitnesses claim to have seen.

I don't know but all those weird sightings lately remind me of the Dark Knight prophecy thread . I guess we will see in the coming months if sightings like that will increase around the world .
