G'day joeofthemountain

Now, I don't believe Haiti is some sort of virtuous, carribean island paradise.

However, how does slamming into them help their present situation?

My view..... it doesn't help at all.

That's why I think Robertson should have kept his mouth shut.

Kind regards
Maybe...maybe not

In his position he perhaps you shouldn't say it, but then again when politicians lie it ain't accepted either. Anyway, what he said is what I personally thought too. They have experienced everything: poverty, civil wars, natural disasters and so on. Could it be worse?

I understand the concept of "bad luck" - where it comes from, whether or not it is even real, and so on. But a "Deal with the Devil" is another thing entirely. It's really accusing the country's people of being evil and guilty of some kind of mass sin. Are we and other countries of the world so without sin that we can avoid such levels of tragedy?

If you're for real (which is hard to believe), I thank you for proving my point even further. I believe your posts are a joke, and so are you.

Maybe I can help you out with this... Pat Robertson is a religious leader with millions of followers, Danny Glover is an actor with fans not followers... See the difference??? Probably not...

He's probably just some schmuck trying to get himself banned for kicks. If not, then the mountain he is joe of, is probably deep in the ozarks somewhere.

Pat Robertson made a stupid comment, one that is not founded upon any religious history that one could believe in.
Stop pointing blame at Obama... this press secretary made the right comments in this case.

True, but they made the statement to garner some political points plain and simple.
The libtards in the whitehouse would never miss an opportunity to bash on any religious figure, especially a conservative type like Mr. Robertson.
What Pat was talking about on his show about past Haitian history and it's political failures of the past was fairly mundane commentary in the context that it was said, even though it was pretty stupid for him to speak about it at all, in light of the tragedy that just happened.. But now it is splashed all over the headlines in bold print everywhere. Is this because the whitehouse and it's staff are so sad about the earthquake? Obama never misses an opportunity at scoring some political points ever.

While the motivations of the Administration might have been what you claim, it does not change the fact that the comments of Robertson were monumentally STUPID! So it is only right that anyone should be able to point at them and state such, regardless of motivation...

Well, it's the internet, so I guess you can pretend to be whatever you want to. I don't think your posts bear out your claims.

Pat really is a piece of it isn't he? What a wonderful way to spread the word of Jesus! Now we got a bunch of deviant kids on the youtube comment sections saying things like "God hates you f---ing n----ers " and "I hope all those n---ers are burning in Hell right now" Not that they weren't doing all that before but now they have the endorsement of one of America's "greatest Christians" . Great job, you swine! I hope YOU, Pat Robertson meet Jesus face to face and he punches your rotten old dentures out the back of your head, you usurper Christian.
I guess my fight against ignorance and moral depravity has extended to a new realm and I have some work to do.
I hope he has an email address. I intend to find it and give him and his retarded false Christian program the verbal licking I've been saving up for some time now. I will rub his nose in the quoted verbal excrement of the filthydegenerates he supports.
Whatever happens we'll see each other in Hell. Count on it.

Note:this is in NO way intended to support liberals or their agendas- Ignorance does not know left or right wing and has no respect for political or religious leanings. It is a universal evil and must be wiped out.
UPDATE: 700 cub's contact service is down for maintenance- guess I arrived a little late to the party.

Originally posted by joeofthemountain...you have no #ing idea what a Calvinistic Christian believes about Divine Wrath...

For what it is worth I do. They believe the races were created in Genesis 9:21-27. I was raised Calvinist deep in Oklahoma.

Edit to add here are some tenets I snagged from CBN for Calvinism. They call it TULIP

Total Depravity (sinful man is utterly incapable of seeking, understanding, or responding to God in any way apart from His prevenient grace).
Unconditional Election (God's choice of the elect is not based on any human condition or claim to goodness or righteousness. It is in the kindness of His will that He chooses some for salvation, and others He does not. Many Calvinists assert that election is not predicated on God's foreknowledge of who will respond to Him and who won't, as that would not be unconditional.)
Limited Atonement (even though Jesus' substitutionary death was sufficient for all, it was only for the sins of the elect).
Irresistable Grace (when God calls someone into His kingdom, they cannot resist. The work of the Spirit in drawing to Christ always and without fail eventuates in salvation for the elect).
Perseverance of the Saints (simply understood, this is "once saved, always saved." God's grace ensures that everyone who genuinely begins a salvation journey finishes.)

You may yet get your chance at the Oval Office.

I wonder if the world forgot completely about the large earthquake in California a few days earlier. Let's see hhmm, a white actress dies named Farrah and it gets a moment of attention until a black man named Michael dies then her story is dropped like a bad habit. Then an earthquake hits Cali and does serious damage, granted nowhere near the death toll but it is here in America and then all of a sudden a tiny BLACK nation not here in the US has an earthquake and all of a sudden the freakin world stands still. We get a black president and the world has gone black crazy. Haiti is a heathan nation and maybe he had a point about what he said. I seriously doubt it but perhaps.

Would you mind crawling out of the dark ages? You are holding us all up . With a name like Christian Voice , you ought to be a little more damned thoughtful and respectful in how you use that Voice .
You want to throw your lot in with Robertson and his skewed messy xenophobic ways, then fine, but do it quietly. Freakin insult to faith is what that post is. Disgusting.

Wait a country being ignored is the reason they have a poor educational system?

Hmmmm I wonder why the USA, China, UK, and a whole host of other countries out there have a good educational systems?

might have something to do with the rest of the world paying for it?

No there countires grew to a point that it could be done but nowadays a countrie does not need to grow just show off there poor and bamm theres money to give a free education to your people whilst we ignore our own poor. Bamm theres money to build schools, hospitals ohh and whilst we are at at lets send doctors and medicine to help you out along with food as well.

why the hell should a poor country live off a rich one? If said poor country really was working to better them selves then I say help them but looking at the poor countires the world have been feeding, educating over the last few decades has any moved on?
