It's Just wrong being labeled: Klu Klux Klan

An Article “Aussie faces jail in India”, published in The Courier Mail on January 9-10, 2010 claimed that racism was the cause of the attempted murder of an Indian man by a Queenslander and faces up to 10 years imprisonment. The tension as shown in the media between Indian and Australian students have been rising, as more Indian students are being assaulted and killed; the stabbing death of Indian accounting graduate Nitin Garg on the 2nd January 2010, which was enforced by India that it was a racism attack.
India accuses Australians as racist and with Delhi’s mail publishing a cartoon “Likening the Victorian Police to the Klu Klux Klan”, there have been no evidence whether it was racially motivated. Even still, “Levin Justin” who was “drunk” on the night of the Queensland attempted murder under the influence of alcohol, and a motive that of Justin becoming “enraged at him urinating on the street”, does not take into consideration that it may not being a racially motivated attack.
The accusation enforced by India suggest that Indian students studying within Australia is not safe and as statistics brought to the media by the Victorian Police suggest otherwise stating that “Indians are safer here than in their own country.” - Simon Overland, Victoria's police chief commissioner. There is no dought that there is racism within Australia directed to Indian students as well as many other ethnicities, although I believe that Australia is a very safe country and what I don’t think that is publicized within
the media enough is the comparison of the statistics between Indians and Australians.
Statistics shown on Wikipedia (link posted below) shows the comparison between the homicide rates. In the years in 2009 Australia had a homicide rate of 1.2 out of 100,000 citizens, in comparison to India with a 2.82 homicide rate, there is a large difference. There is a population of 1,147,995,904 citizens living in India, which would make 32373.48 homicide incidences in 2009, in comparison with Australia with a population of 21,007,310, there where 252 homicide incidences. India has a homicide rate of over 123 times Australia's.
Not being biased or anything, but I just think that it is very wrong with the Victorian police being labeled or compared to a Klan that where formed over 145 years ago who preached such things as racism, anti-Catholicism, anti-Communism, nativism, and anti-Semitism. The Victorian Police DO NOT SUPPORT THIS behavior.
