PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti - A strong earthquake has hit the impoverished country of Haiti, where a hospital has collapsed and people are screaming for help. The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake had a preliminary magnitude of 7.3. It occurred Tuesday afternoon and was centered about 14 miles (22 kilometers) west of the Caribbean nation's capital, Port-au-Prince. This is one of the last places on earth that needs this.

Very sad indeed. If we can send stuff, lets do.

Wow! I went back to bed this morning and dreamt about a tsunami. I thought it was the weirdest dream I've ever had, because I felt everything rewind in time, ( leaves that fell off trees suddenly flew back on), and saw smoke in the sky like a volcano erupted, before running behind the house I was in to see a wall of water rushing towards me.

This has got to be devastaing to the people. Is this a region that is even used to earthquakes?

Yes the Caribbean is not shy of earthquakes I experience a few in my years living in PR.

But a Tsunami will not be a problem as the entire range of islands in the Caribbean are actually the tips of under water mountains.

So we never have any problems with Tsunamis.

All of the magnitude 10.2 depth is consistent with all the quakes suspected of being caused by HAARP.

The one off Calif. coast was said to be 10. 2 depth. The rash of quakes in China before the one with the luminesent sky colors, were all 10. 2.

Really? Are you really going there? The quake happened on a KNOWN fault bro. Lets stop with the 'HAARP is making my oven break down' stuff..

10km deep, 10 km from a big city with crappy construction=big death toll.

This is going to be bad.

Not to mention tsunami.

Haiti needs some good vibes/prayers right now, as those people just had a major disaster.

Might not be great for this particular region of the world.
