I know, what else can this poor people do, they have live a life of poverty from the time they were born to the time the will die.

Singing actually relief the soul and sooth the spirit.

Looking at the pictures on TV they remind me of my own Island of PR back in the 60s before the boom of US commercialism.

this people live simple lives they never expect anything else due to poverty.

Singing changes many things -
this action should not be underestimated -
it makes things move in the body as well as the spirit -
it's the best thing they can do for themselves at this time.

I have had news from the Icelandic team , they have managed to save quite a few people....but according to them Haitiians are becoming increasingly frustrated at the lack of help. Seems like there´s a lot of talk and planning but not a lot of real help on the ground!?

Iceland has gathered 20 million of our now almost useless currency for aid.

And there´s talk about the water shortage becoming a huge problem.

I feel so sad for the peoples without homes or who lost their loved ones in the quake. I feel like the government is not doing enough. I encourage everyone here to donate to charity to help aid the victims of the quake

Let me know when you are taking over. My twitter is in my link - all the charities, UK Govt, Israeli and a few other international followers are providing me with information.

I've established contact with a few Haitians too.

Yes I saw the white tents already standing up and people gathering around to get needed medical assistance, the most injured will be airlifted.

Things are slow for those farther away in the city but is getting there.

Still I wonder when the children from the school will be rescued if they are still alive.

Scores of US evacuees arrive in NJ from Haiti

2 hrs 51 mins ago
MCGUIRE AIR FORCE BASE, N.J. – Three military cargo planes have flown more than 250 Americans from earthquake-ravaged Haiti to a New Jersey military base.

McGuire Air Force Base set up a center where the evacuees could get warm clothing Friday, be examined by a doctor and receive mental health counseling.

Base spokeswoman Angel (AYN'-jel) Lopez says the C-17 Globemaster 3 aircraft flew military personnel and equipment to the disaster area and returned with the citizens.

Lopez says the 621st Contingency Response Wing deployed to help with the distribution of aid as part of the humanitarian effort.
