When it comes to the most brutal death metal anyways..

Check out a track from our upcoming release. Please do not distribute anywhere else as the production is not finished yet. I play drums by the way..

Wow, yer a fast drummer!

its 176 if i remember correctly. When we have recorded 4 songs we will launch our new myspace page. As of now no one even know we exist.

The band is Called MAKT wich roughly translates to Power/might. The track is called Codex Aggro

The deathmetal scene in Norway is'nt that big. Its Mostly blackmetal and thrash bands. So i'm confident we will blow the other death bands away when this is released.

I'm sure your band kicks my band's ass. Sorry, you can't win there

I have more horror stories, though.
Simply getting four 40-50 year olds onto a stage has taken the greater portion of a year.
The bassist doesn't understand groove and doubles the guitar lines.
The singer/guitarist can't figure out how to wire up his new pedalboard w/ TWO pedals.
The drummer changed our name while booking the first gig.
And one of us isn't flying in til 5pm on the night of the first gig.

Worried? Me?

Nah. Just amused.

Good luck with the band, 176!

I'll bet your band could kick my bands ass being as how we are all on the ++ side of 50, couple of diabetics, and the bass player is blind in one eye and can't see very well out of the other; be that as it may we old farts want to encourage all you young fellers to play what you feel. Thats what we do. see sig..........

I've never known a drummer to keep up with that fast of a tempo!
Good job!

That's talent! My old drummer was fast, but not that fast!
I can shred the heck out of a guitar, but can't touch drums...

That was the problem with my latest bands....
Couldn't seem to find a decent, steady drummer.

I don't know man....I mean, if my old band was still around, I would give you a run for your money. But, to play it safe, I have opened up for Brujeria, Asesino, Nausea, Anal Blast, and others that escape me at the moment. :bnghd: I've also hung out with lots of artists such as Dino Cazares (Brujeria/Asesino/Fear Factory), Raymond Herrera (Fear Factory), Shane Embury and Napalm Death amongst others. Let me know when your album is out so I can get my grubby hands on it.

At the moment, I myself am working on a black/thrash solo project. Lets be friends!!!

edit to add...

p.s. by the way you are a bad ass drummer. I could use your talents.

Frost, the drummer in "Satyricon" and "1349" blasts at over 300 bpm.

Heres a track from 1349: www.youtube.com...

In the first song I think the drums sounded to high in the mix, I couldn't hear the riffs very well. But the 2nd song sounded pretty good.

Who do you consider to be your influences???

Norway might not be known for its death metal... but if you go a country over
And lets not forget Darkthrones first album.

Mike Mangini
en.wikipedia.org...
World record holder at over 1,200 BPM.
...and he played with Steve Perry and Steve Vai

I like your band, though.
You should look into getting your music onto iTunes or the Zune network. Great way to kick off your career.

Nice King Diamond avy, dude. That's from back in the Mercyful Fate days, if I'm not mistaken, right? I still say that Hollywood should take his discography and turn each LP into a blockbuster horror flick. With the right director (Rob Zombie or Tobe Hooper, for instance), the album Abigail alone would be a box office blockbuster by horror film standards.

I've seen 1349 two times. Great band. The first time i saw them in 2003 they played a show with Cadaver. That was truly a great gig!
