I have one more, if you'll indulge me?

Yes.

Why is it, that no matter who gets into power, we churn
out the same conspiracy crap about them?

Have you ever noticed how everyone who runs for office gives these Great promises during their campaign, and yet fulfills no promises, and usually ends up passing laws that increase the power of the Government, and corporations, and reduces the rights of the citizens?

People running for senate and congress need campaign contributions to slather their "Platform" all over the airwaves.

IT has gotten to the point that whoever spends the most money on airtime WINS.

They know this.

So, since they do not have that kind of capital, they must get contributions from other sources.

Namely, Large corporations.

These contributions are not "Free", and usually have strings attached.

Such as passing a certain bill, that changes a law, or passes a new law, in favor of those corporations profit.

This is where these conspiracies come from... the inherent untrustworthyness of the government, that is basically MANDATED by how the system is set up.

These ARE conspiracies, and are not Theories.

The corporation wants to do something that is currently illegal, and they "Conspire" with our representatives to make it "Legal".

After you understand that, the rest is simple logical deduction.

What else are they hiding?

Ya know?

It's gone on for the last 40 years that I know about...
Is there no honest guys or gals left in the world?

Yes, there are plenty.

Unfortunately, Honest people usually frown on taking "Strings Attached" campaign contributions that would end up harming the people.

Thus, they do not get the money to run their campaign ads on television.

Thus, they do not get elected.

Thus, our entire system is set up to give power to the weakest of morals of us all.

"Power bases are very dangerous because they attract people who are truly insane, people who seek power only for the sake of power."
-Frank Herbert

"All Governments suffer from a recurring problem, Power attracts pathological personalities. It is not that power corrupts but that it is magnetic to the corruptible."
-Frank Herbert

Was there ever?

Yes, there always is in the beginning.

And there still is now.

The better question is, Why are the Honest individuals NOT in charge?

Hmmm.... now, what high heels to wear?

The Red ones.

Because honest individuals know they shouldn't be in charge.

Edrick,

Can you answer this query?

Two Eastern European Ursine scientists decide to travel to the United States in order to study the North American Grizzly Bear.

One is from Russia, the other hails from the Czech Republic.

They'd collaborated for many years, and were used to working together, so it was an obvious team effort, as they investigated the prospects, and got the permits within the USA's National Park System.

When they set up camp, the U.S. Park Service rangers warned them that they had arrived when the Bears they had come to study, the Grizzlies, were in mating season. So they were admonished to be extra careful. But, since all documents were in order, the Rangers had no choice but to allow their entry into the study area.

The Rangers became very concerned when they lost touch with the scientists, after a pre-determined check-in time....and went to investigate.

They found the scientist's camp disturbed, and saw Bear signs. They could only assume the worst had happened....so they went to follow the signs left by what was determined to be the FEMALE Grizzly Bear.

Sure enough, after a brief follow on the trail that she had left, they found her, in distress, and had no choice but to put her out of her misery...and when they did, the Park rangers cut into her stomach and realized that the female Grizzley had eaten the Russian scientist....

SO.....Edrick, what do yu think the Rangers said to each other, upon discovering the fate of the Russian scientist???

(and I know, this was a great set-up for the punch line....I have more, but this one was too easy to resist....hope you enjoyed!!!)

One ranger turned to the other and said, 'You know what this means, don't you?'

The other ranger responded, 'Of course: the Czech is in the male.'

LOL!

Got another one. What sport is more intense/rough then the UFC/Vale Tudo, and the Dog Brother’s seminars? Fight/weapon-wise, what other competitions/seminars are more intense than those two, and don’t say there are none. I know there is.

Rugby / Soccer

Fight/weapon-wise

Muay Thai is pretty intense... sometimes lethal in the Thai circuit.

Traditional Boxing is much more intense than MMA.

But of course, you are always going to have more vicious fights when arm bars, wrestling, and grappling are restricted...

They tend to end fights before they are truly decided.

The oil "Bubble" was caused by speculative trading in Oil futures.

Congress passed a law in early 2009 that prohibited in trading oil futures unless the speculator took physical possession of the oil.

Signs point to yes.

If the RMB ever depegged from the USD, its value will skyrocket, and at the current rate of devaluation of the USD, this looks to be rather soon.

1st question: Can you list three random and cheap activities for me to do today?

1. Read a book.

Not a Fictional Book... something to increase your understanding of a topic that you want to learn more about... Libraries are awesome.

2. Go for a Walk.

See the sights, breath the fresh air, maybe run into someone and have a conversation.

3. Meditate.

Concentrate on breathing, and let your mind be free of ALL thoughts.

Like the surface of a pond, the ripples are your thoughts, and they disturb the tranquility of the reflection.

Calm your mind, and gaze into the reflection of the infinite.

2nd question: What is the most important lesson you have learned from answering these questions?

Thank you very much for this question.

I have learned that there are many people who would like another perspective on matters that interest them, but cannot find those perspectives ordinarily.

I have learned that sometimes, brutal honesty is the greatest, and most refreshing choice... It is a rare commodity in this world of sugar coated lies.

I have learned that curiosity is one of the greatest motivators.

I would, however, like to answer some of the REALLY difficult (moral) questions of our day.
