A university student while visiting [Zen master] Gasan asked him: "Have you ever read the Christian Bible?"
"No, read it to me," said Gasan.
The student opened the Bible and read from St. Matthew: "And why take ye thought for rainment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They toil not, neither do they spin, and yet I say unto you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these... Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself."
Gasan said: "Whoever uttered those words I consider an enlightened man."
The student continued reading: "Ask and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that asketh receiveth, and he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened."
Gasan remarked: "That is excellent. Whoever said that is not far from Buddhahood."

I was going round ATS looking at various threads and noticed the trend many have of turning into a cyber-religious war, particularly between the Christians Vs Muslims.

I never it was recycled GARBAGE, I just said recycled. The myths, the figures, the morals are all taken from older religions.
The legend of Jesus himself was recycled from Osiris, Odin and a good number of other figures who came before him not that I'm denying his existence but mosdef the stories were exaggerated greatly, But yes everything about Christianity is recycled, right down to the hat on the pope's head.
I am sorry but you are mis-informed if you believe only Jesus preached about peace and love. Mohammed for example used to teach the believers that anyone who would return love only when love was given belonged on a lower ethical plane......"
