Is this a reference to the Jekyll Island with the Jekyll Island Club off the coast of Georgia or somewhere else?

Great thread, I never heard of some of these, I love everything when it comes to secret places/items in the world, so many things to discover, so many people withholding stuff and knowledge, so little time and resources to uncover these secrets.

Yeah, Club 33 is not a huge deal. You can even pay 100 or so bucks for one of Disneyland's tours (I did on my honeymoon), and get to go inside. You don't get to take the elevator or stairs up to the bar level, but you do get to enter the fabled doorway.

There's also the Golden Temple in Japan, I got to go all around it but I wish I could have gone inside... you dont cover an entire building in gold unless its something special...

I imagine between Russia-US-Britain-Germany theres a million military points of interest that we'd all kill just for a glimpse inside...

Haven't read through them all, about to go to bed, but thanks for sharing. Read a couple of them, good information - but always do your own research.

Great post! There a others I'd like to add as well, though:

1)HAARP Facility/

You certainly can visit HAARP, "We recognize that there is great interest in the scientific work of the facility and, as a result, we hold an annual open house at which any and all are invited to visit the site. Several scientists are usually present at these open houses so that visitors can talk directly with those who use the facility for research. Open houses have been held most years since 1995 and have proven to be a popular event. "

2)CERN reactor

You can visit that also visits.web.cern.ch...

You could go there, but I doubt many of us would. Personally, I'd rather go to Hades than visit there, any day.

Well, I guess you can go to the Forbidden City now days in Communist China, but as an American you still can't go to Cuba (and not because of the Cuban government but because of our own governmental restrictions)!

I can't go into low orbit as NASA won't take civilian astronauts anymore and the Russians stopped selling seats after that Back-Street Boy.

You can't go almost anywhere in Thailand without government clearance. However, that is easy compared to trying to get into a Porn Shop in Singapore!

You also can't go to the Pulley Ridge Coral Reef because current technology doesn't allow for dives that deep.

Of course, as the Dutch like being uniquely Dutch, you can't go to any of the four official residences of the Dutch Royal Family. Even more restricted than their official residences is the Dutch Royal Family Stables! (Either they value their horses more than they do their Queen or something else is in those Stables!)

You can't even hike in any Watershed in the United States anymore. It has been a Federal Offense since the Patriot Act to be found unauthorized and not on official business to be in any Watershed.

Thanks for the post...

I've been in the Bohiemian Grove, My family has been in the town it is located since the late 1800's and my grandfather used to work there. It's a beautiful property. Mind you, My visits there where never during encampment, but I suppose I am an exception that I have been inside the Gates. Oh and FYI, being a resident during encampment was always a royal pain. No Fun to be sure.

The Grand Canyon secret Egyption Connection.. I would love to go there as well:
AS Stated By Richard Childress:
""Indeed, this entire area with the Egyptian and Hindu place names in the Grand Canyon is a forbidden zone - no one is allowed into this large area. We could only conclude that this was the area where the vaults were located. Yet today, this area is curiously off-limits to all hikers and even, in large part, park personnel.""

Area 51 and "Area 52" Dugway, Wright Patterson AFB

I know there are more but too tired at the moment.

Kudo's on the OP!

A few more places..

Monsanto labs
a majority of Government buildings around the world.. no way you get into all but the "receieving areas"

Fort Knox is another , granted nothing in there now.. (It was all given to the chinese.. /cough)

Ahh what Military Installation was it that they moved all the UFO wreckage from Roswell to, somewhere in the Bible-belt of the USA.. I forgot the name.. They'll shoot you if you try and enter..

N.O.R.A.D. (Cheyanne Mountain) until it's supposed De-commission.. (if that is true).

Just a few that crossed my mind.

What is a watershed? I'm guessing it's the cleared land around spans of powerlines running through wooded areas?

A Watershed is a basin-like landform defined by highpoints and ridgelines that descend into lower elevations and stream valleys. A Watershed carries water "shed" from the land after rain falls and snow melts. A Watershed could range from a few acres to hundreds of acres or more.

Basically, Watersheds are where Americans get their Potable Water Supply. A single Watershed may provide enough Potable Water for the drinking water needs for an entire County or Region. Watersheds in the United States are almost always Public Property, either Municipally or Federally controlled.

The Anthrax and 9/11 Terrorist Attacks made our Congresspersons worried that Terrorists could potentially target the Watersheds and poison or contaminate them and kill entire cities of people. Of course, Watersheds are generally remote wilderness areas that are not only easily accessible, but not staffed either, meaning even though it is a Federal Offense to be in a Watershed, unless they are monitoring you by satellite, no one is going to be any the wiser. It's absolutely silly, especially considering these are Public Wilderness areas bought and paid for by your Tax Dollars.

great thread

Menwith Hill near Harrogate in the UK can be seen in detail from google earth, you can zoom into any military base with ease, why? these places are a target and google earth shows it like a bullseye!
You can even see area 51, if you look very carefully you will notice roads that disappear into the hillsides, very interesting

8. Club 33
Contrary to popular belief, Disneyland has a full liquor license which is used when the place closes down to the general public to accommodate private parties. But there is one place in Disneyland that is always open to sell booze: Club 33. Club 33 is a private club located in the heart of the New Orleans Square section of Disneyland.

I ate there at a corporate event a few years ago. Not that memorable or apparently that exclusive.

Another super secret place is M42, the secret sub-basement in Grand Central Terminal that houses the AC to DC converters that power the subway.

A "secret" sub-basement known as M42 lies under the Terminal, containing the AC to DC converters used to supply DC traction current to the Terminal. The exact location of M42 remains a closely guarded secret and cannot be found on maps though it has been shown on television, most notably, the History Channel program, Cities of the Underworld and also a National Geographic special.
