Anyone in Austin JUST see a UFO (360/South Mopac)

Around 5:10am friday morning?

Bright white light with an intermittent bright red light. NOT FAA style red light, this was just as bright as the white light which seemed to me to be about 10 times brighter than standard plane/helicopter lights.

It was cruising pretty fast too. I first noticed it while crossing the 360 bridge to my left and 5 minutes later it was already crossed to the other side of 360 headed towards who knows where and it was low by then...like just over the tree tops from my perspective. I'll try to put a map up shortly

I'm not sure which of these links will work but the first pic is where i first saw the "UFO". It was to my left as i was crossing the 360 bridge. I couldn't tell how far away it was, but it immediately caught my attention.

Also, in that same picture i put arrows pointing towards the radio towers. The first thing the debunkers will try and say is that i saw radio towers even though i have made this drive every day for 3+ years in the dark. What i saw was NOT a radio tower or any type of plane/helicopter i've seen before

The second picture is where i last saw the "craft". Due to the nature of 360, i lost sight of the object totally between these two points. It was about 8 miles in length, i was going 70mph. As i lost sight of it, the craft moved from my left to directly in front of me and headed down at an acute angle. It disappeared at the tree line. At that point i was at the highest point on 360. Also, I noticed a helicopter that appeared to be much higher, but following the same direction of travel. The helicopter was closer in distance to me, but about 2-3 times the elevation of the craft. Also, the lights on the helicopter were no where near as bright as the lights on the craft...

Pic #3 is just a map showing my first and last points of seeing the craft and the general direction of travel that it took. I do not know how far away it was, so don't take that to scale. I tried to give it my best guess though...

Can you upload the images to photobucket or another free online service like that?

I know Texas is something of a hotbed for UFO sightings and I just saw one.

I live off Braker, just east of I-35 and saw a single point of white light, moving kinda W/NW, towards me and apparently upwards. It was moving incredibly smooth and fast (I mean FAST), which made me think that something wasn't right. I kept a clean line of sight for 3-5 seconds and the light suddenly got much brighter (maybe 3 times the size of the original point of light) then VANISHED.

I'm not saying it was an alien spacecraft, but it moved waaaay faster than anything I've ever seen. It had to be 20-30K feet up. No noise. Anyone else in Austin see this? Sighting was 1/24/10 at about 10pm CST.

I'm ALWAYS looking in the sky these days (i live near Frys in N. Austin). I didn't see anything that night though. I made a thread a month or two ago about the single red light that flew over my house. I later looked on MUFON and the same night there was multiple sightings of similar red lights north of austin. Strange things going on around here lately

Yeah, there were several MUFON reports from the thing that I saw as well.

Definitely something strange over the skies of Texas.

have any other members heard a lot of heilocopter traffic above Austin, coming / going to Ft. Hood. (besides the Pork Chop(austin police heilocopter)) within the last two days i have heard and seen a couple of chopppers flying over head, not that is is out of the ordinary, but usually only high profile visitors are on those choppers, and their field exercises dont usually inculde flight paths of the city of austin, and they come from the south east, right by ABIA, im sure they need a clearance of some sort to fly over that air space.

I personally haven't, but i have a weird work schedule so unless they were cruising at odd hours i wouldn't see them.

The "orb" that i saw a few weeks ago though was being trailed by a helicopter. It wasn't close enough to make out what kind it was though

Yeah, saw a group of 5 military style helicopters over south Austin in the middle of the day. I say "military style" because they were too far away to identify what markings, if any, were on them. I believe they were travelling eastward, south of Riverside.
