Is the picture of the children linked to one source?
I am sure these brave soldiers will be given a 6 month sentence or a discharge with full pension and will be cheered as heros as happened when Bush was in office.

nice pic, got any that show their faces? I mean im not saying our military hasnt done horrible ish in the past but it would be more credible if i can see whether or not their faces are brown. whose to say that isnt a pic of terrorists in gear similar to ours or taken from dead soldiers, stolen, etc. How great would this story be in getting new recruits for al-queda? I dont buy it.

Not much mystery in why someone would want Americans dead, an eye for an eye
Isn't that Ironic since it was what... 5,000 dead American civilians in a street about 8 years ago that prompted this whole thing? Wow...that was just what? Justice? Revenge? Karma? I know there are people out there who think it is but I think they need to check their facts again and the series of events.
The US was horrifically attacked for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. The Afghans/Taliban/Al Qaeda/whatever basically came to the shore of America , kicked in the doors of 5,000 Americans and dragged them into the street and shot them.
Ok, so now IM supposed to feel sorry for the poor afghans who are dying in a war THEY STARTED? I would never condone executing children, but the civilians need to find these BOZOS and hand them over to the US if they want this crap to stop.
In reality, there is no answer because everyone is right. We are creating terrorists by being there AND if we do nothing, we embolden an enemy (which is the case regardless).
We have 1 choice. Annihilate all islamic terrorist organizations.

I love it, don't we always read on these threads that you can't trust the MSM. Now a story come along that supports what ever agenda we have, and by god it must be the truth. I think the the real story will end up some where in the middle of 8 innocents shot and students attack troops. Also, the OP says US troops, unless I missed it, the nationality is stated as international or NATO.

The Times
Western military sources said that the dead were all part of an Afghan terrorist cell responsible for manufacturing improvised explosive devices (IEDs), which have claimed the lives of countless soldiers and civilians.
“This was a joint operation that was conducted against an IED cell that Afghan and US officials had been developing information against for some time,” said a senior Nato insider.
But he admitted that “the facts about what actually went down are in dispute”.
“The delegation concluded that a unit of international forces descended from a plane Sunday night into Ghazi Khan village in Narang district of the eastern province of Kunar and took ten people from three homes, eight of them school students in grades six, nine and ten, one of them a guest, the rest from the same family, and shot them dead,”
“At around 1 am, three nights ago, some American troops with helicopters left Kabul and landed around 2km away from the village,” he told The Times. “The troops walked from the helicopters to the houses and, according to my investigation, they gathered all the students from two rooms, into one room, and opened fire.”
“no direct evidence to substantiate” Mr Wafa’s claims
that the preliminary UN investigation showed "strong indication" that there were insurgents in the area at the time of the attack. But, he added, "based on our initial investigation, eight of those killed were students enrolled in local schools."
said the government investigation showed no Afghan forces were involved and "international forces from an unknown address came to the area and without facing any armed resistance, put 10 youth in two rooms and killed them. "They conducted this operation on their own without informing any security or local authorities of Afghanistan," the statement said.
“joint coalition and Afghan security force” operation.
NATO has denied its forces were involved, suggesting "non-military Americans" had returned fire in self-defence.

It looks like we need to find out the rest of the details before we come to a conclusion.
Even if the story is true the military is quite big. I would be so hasty to paint them all with one brush. Furthermore, being from Florida your tax dollars help pay for every bullet shot and bomb dropped.
Why don't you take Gandhi's route and try some non-violent civil disobedience. I'm sure refusing to pay your taxes would work.
