"During every great economic upheaval a populist revolt emerges against the people and the institutions most perceived to have wrecked the economy. It usually comes in left and right flavors."

This is quite an interesting article. If you have the time, try to read more of it.

It is quite annoying that the Tea Party movement is mainly associated with conservatives and Republicans. There are many different types of people involved. The movement is not affiliated with any party. The republicans have been trying to inject themselves into it and have been consistantly turned away.

The Tea Party movement is not about one political party or the other. Its about getting the federal government to look out for the best interest of the PEOPLE instead on corporations and lobbyists.

That's because Republicans are trying to infiltrate the movement and steer it to meet their own agenda. The best way for them to nullify the movement is not to destroy it, but to hijack and make it suit their own needs.

And that's their own fault, letting THIS happen: Tea Party Sold Out

A movement that embodies the anger of the people for the spending and bailouts of the government, picking someone who supported the bank bailouts to lead their convention. OFFICIALLY HIJACKED and run by idiots.
