A call to the people of the USA

Should talk of armed revolution be censored? Personally, I think not. However, what I do believe is that revolution will not come in the form of a bullet or execution, yet the revolution we need is in the form of speech itself, of a call for the liberties granted to us by our constitutional rights. We must stand up as a population that will no longer stand for the monopolies of the rich, of a class most of us have never or will never have a chance to know. Revolution will come when we finally decide to stand up and TELL our "leaders" that we have had enough! We have had enough of the unconstitutional actions of those whose job it is to uphold our countries most sacred of documents. We have had enough of fighting wars for the rich and being told it is for the freedom and well being of their people. We have had enough of the lobbyist say in our government and politicians. It is time to find a leader outside the realms of the two party system. It is time for us to choose a leader. It is time for us to come together and kill the hate and fight beside one another, not with guns and riots, but with our morals and our faith. The faith we felt reading of the founding fathers struggling for their freedoms from persecution and tyrannical leaders and corrupt government. Do we have the right to bear arms versus our goverment, our elected officials? Do we have the right to fight with our brothers and sisters in a militia led by the agenda of a corrupt and failing government. Simply, YES!!! But will that be the right way to take hold, will that make the RIGHT impression on what we want of this great nation. I don't think so. But who am I, I am a citizen who votes in elections, who goes to work for the United States government every day, I am a citizen who fights the wars that no one agrees with. I just hope that one day we can come together as a nation of people who want more than the wealth and power of the world. We can come together with one voice and dictate our contries future, with education, peace, and prosperity! Brothers and sisters please spread the message, the way set forth for us is failing. The ones we trust our liberties and essentially our lives with are failing to uphold the very principals we elected them upon. Why live our lives as spectators of history, when we can make history ours! We can change the very world we live in, we must first come together and accept our differences and understand that it itself is what makes the UNITED States so great, a country as diverse as the world its beautiful land is rested upon. From the scholars to the laborers, my friends it is time to take control and make our mark on the world. To come together and accept our weaknesses and know our brothers and sisters will make up for them ten-fold, and give our strengths for the better of one another! We can win this fight and never cast a stone. Our economy, our nation, our government is nothing without us. Remember this is a democracy of the people without which the world could not watch, could not imitate, and could not admire! We will show the world we are more than Hollywood, we are more than the opinions of those given by those chosen to speak for us! We will show them we as a people have not abandoned the desire and drive that made this country what it is today, we will show the world that governments work for them, not the other way around. Remember my words friends, it will not be easy as those we have relinquished power to will not give it back as easily as we gave it, but that in itself shows the greed and self importance of the government we facilitated... But we will take it back!!!! Brothers and Sisters, thank you for the inspiration, thank you for the kindness, and thank you for speaking out on this subject with me! Be safe and talk about this everyday. It is our turns to make history!

That is done every 2 and 4 years, by those that think voting will make a difference. It's the classic definition of insanity. They do the same things (vote) hoping that THIS time things will be different. But the results are always the same.

No one wants a violent revolution, but it is being forced on us.

We Americans take a lot of crap. But push us too far and we are merciless.
They are mistaking our patience for cowardice.

I see what you mean, thanks for the reply! I am not saying I would not support another scenario, but I hope for a meore peaceful solution in which we all agree and take back control without the need of violence.

Didn't we just witness that with the Tea Party movement,numerous petitions,the "townhall" meetings,war protests,...

Agreed. I think some people see this as desirable and bitch and moan that it isn't happening now. Things just aren't bad enough for that. Yet.
But IMO that can happen overnight.

The ones that want violence are idiots. Or they are feds. It's one or the other. I see no 3rd option.

You are right, you know how it is sometimes getting on a roll... You make a good point with the protests and tea party movement examples... What got me on the topic was a post about all the people talking of armed revolution here on ATS. I just feel like we can't win with violence and the talk of this, if it came to fruition, would set up a time in which people would accept the fact that violence is the way to get a point across, and I fear that this is not what this is about at all. I think the best way would be to get an understanding of each other and laying down arms and working together in another way... Boycott an election or a mass write in, boycott major lobyist industry. I know we can't win over the entire population, but with enough people we could bring some forces to their knees. Also, reading over the posts here I appreciate the conversation over the quick snaps and insults which are big on here... If only everyone could be so reasonable!

I wanted to find out what this is all about, but I refuse to read a solid block of letters like that.

Take note pardner no one else does that. I have seen an increase of it lately.

The reason is it is hard on your eyes to try and deal with that. Others can't see as well as you and it is a real pain.

You have to break it up. you can make your big block like that if you get on a roll or whatever.

Before you hit send go through and break it up a little
bit.

It has been sneaking up....and is now breaking into fruition.

When you wake up one morning and find that the private utilities have sold out to the state government.....and your gas, electric, and water is now rationed....or can easily be taken away if you are considered an enemy of the state.......

And when you find that all the food and shelters are controlled for distribution by the interfaith organizations with the sanction of the superpowers......


Nah, I don't think people will raise much ruckus. When it happens within days and they have you by the hair......

What do you really expect people to do?

Althea I agree, if that day comes you and I will go down together, or I won't be a proud citizen of this country either one.lol. But remember one thing, we need the masses to stop what has begun. If they see our message being put out by gun wielding extremists, they will turn their back and be apart of an unlawful republic before even considering the views of our side.

Please everyone remember this is just my opinion, I think we are all agreed here that something must be done, please do not dismiss me and do not think I do not understand the extent to which our government is failing on many scopes. I just ask for reason and possibly make an appeal to those who do not agree with this. I am calling for a movement before war.

It is time to start something bigger than anyone here or in this nation has seen. Maybe it is time for a declaration of our own, with more than screen names as signatures! To outline an intent before an unorganized armed revolution!

Big Star for that reply. I got through about a third of the OP and just gave up, not because my eyes are bad, but because I can't deal with things that just run on with no type of structure.

I will withhold any opinion as I didn't read the whole thing, but I will give some advise. Paragraphs are our friends.

I take it that maybe you're seeing what we really are up against,then?

And how no one is listening to "the people" like they should?

I don't go near any of that "militia" stuff. Not my cup of tea. But knowing they exist is another matter,and understanding their frustration isn't hard to do.

America is at a turning point and there will be no going back.
