Great video! My wife and I watched it together this morning and we both laughed and got a big kick out of it. The only part that I didn't get
personally was the very end, where the Republocrat takes down her hair and kisses the Truther. I guess this is just a little wish-fantasy expression,
or maybe a metaphor for the Misinformed's need to "get into bed" with the Truthers to find salvation (the "Truth"). In my experience, however,
nothing like that ever happens in real life; the Misinformed are that way because they steadfastly [bold]insist[/bold] on being misinformed, and you
can't drag them, kicking, screaming, or otherwise, away from that condition because they are tragically emotionally and financially invested in it.
They will fight to hysteria to keep anyone from convincing them that any other view than theirs could be true.
A few years back I was talking with one of my clients about 9-11 and the resulting Iraq war, and he made a statement that chilled me to the bone.
After hearing my five minute mini-lecture on how obvious it was that the Towers came down in a controlled demolition and how illegal the invasion was,
he looked at me with timid eyes and said: "I just don't want there to be a war over here in our country. I'm glad we're fighting them on their
soil and not on ours..."
At the time, I didn't know what to say, so in the interest of keeping our business arrangement viable I just shut up. Now, however, it's clear to
me that we DO have a war here on our soil, because they are fighting us here every hour of every day. The reason we are losing is because we don't
know what the weapons of engagement are, even if we do know where the battlefield is. Those who aren't afraid to fight don't have the weapon to do
so, because the weapon needed to fight this battle is MONEY. And not a few thousand dollars, or even tens of thousands of dollars. The kind of money
it takes to buy newspaper chains and television networks and political parties. You may be able to buy the ear or the pen of a congressman or senator
for a piddling few thousand bucks, but all that means is that you own one drop of pee in a big dirty toilet. You might be able to acquire some
congressional pork with that, or get a line of legislation watered down, but that isn't going to aid your fight in the war that is being fought
against us every day of our lives. At best it might cut you some slack if your interests are aligned with our enemies'.
(Of course, money is not what most people think it is: money is currency, a fiat currency that has no intrinsic value. More accurately, money is
credit, and credit is debt. Every dollar bill is exactly that: a "bill" to the holder from the private corporation the Federal Reserve Bank. It
is impossible to become wealthy in this country, because the accumulation of bills for a debt that can never be repaid can never become wealth. It
is, however, possible to become powerful because misinformed, eager-to-please-you people gravitate towards large collections of money like flies to
sugar.)
In a perfect example of Catch-22, acquiring the weapon seems to restrict your allegiance to the other side. Thus those that have acquired the kind of
money it takes to fight this war are already on the other side.
Does that mean we are destined to lose this war? At the risk of sounding hopeless, look around you. Haven't we already?
