Volcano watch 2010

There is word the Helka just went off. I can not confirm this. Web Cam is difficult to tell where the plume is from - but take a look at the tremor chart - last one down is helka hraun.vedur.is...

I think this is a false alarm, webcam looking at the wrong volcano and labelled "Hekla"...

This page is ALL the icelandic webicorders

The main ones of interest for Eyjafjollajokull are GOD, ESK, HVO and MID

HAU is the nearest one to Hekla that I can see.

SNB relates to Katla as well, but actually GOD is the one to watch as that is the route from Eyja to Katla.

Here is the latest picture. I wonder when they are going to have the Cams up and Access for other than Iceland available.

Anyone care to share with me where I can begin learning more about what all of this means? Sorta lost.. but very interested.

Geology wasn't an interest in school.. now I wish I would have tried to retain more of it.

I'm just looking for a basic starting point is all. Thanks.
