Anyone else experiencing more Deja Vu since New Years?

I've got chills right now.
I rarely get that feeling of being somewhere or doing something previously..perhaps a half dozen times in an entire year..but in the last 3 days it's happened 5 times..and I don't know what to make of it.
Then I see the dead celebrities thread that are now alive..and holy frig there it goes again with a chill up my spine.
I KNOW I SAW ON CNN THAT BILLY GRAHAM HAD DIED...WTF???
I'm feeling like I have been tossed into an Orwellian version of the matrix.

How much of your Deja Vu is Deja Reve? Deja Reve means already dreamed in French. My personal research into Deja Vu is that it stems from Deja Reve.

I am currently writing a book on this topic.

It's cool though I don't know why that is happening. Very weird that you are having that too.

On the subject of Billy Graham dying, I can remember one year watching a Billy Graham Christmas Special and they were talking as if he had passed, showing clips of his life and works... It was very sad... They even had Donny Osmond on the program!

I think I experienced the time speeding up in the morning.

Deja Vu is a memory error...
...and occurs when an entering memory trace becomes confused with an exiting memory trace...
...and it is associated with a sense of familiarity.

Deja Vu can be induced in laboritory conditions.

It can be the result of sleep deprivation or changed patterns...
...short term memory become long term memory during sleep...
...and Deja Vu can result when the process is disrupted or incomplete.

Certain social drugs and prescribed medications can increase the frequency of Deja Vu.

It happens to me if I have had a particularly demanding day...
...and need to undertake some further detailed process while fatigued.

I would think it fairly common post Christmas/New Year.

Maybe as 2012 comes closer and closer strange things begin to increase?

Well, I haven't been having Deja Vu... but I *HAVE* been having the Weirdest dreams.

Haven't had these kind of dreams in several years... and now, I'm getting them for the past 3 nights.

Very interesting.
I haven't had any sleep deprivation though. If anything, it being winter and very cold here, I have been sleeping more. Iam not on any medications..social or otherwise..as Iam a drug free person in all aspects of my life. I use naturopathic remedies for everything.
It's not like it's happening at the end of the day,when I'm relaxing.
It seems to be happening between early morning and early afternoon...and it's just when I'm doing mundane things around the house..cooking or having a conversation with someone.

My dreams have also bordered on bizarre lately.And they are more frequent in number.

I had some De Ja Vu with flash backs...

WOW this thread just freaked me out!

I was on the phone with a friend and kept having major deja vu. I did last night while at work too. I have always got deja vu quite often but sometimes it would last longer but not always and now they are lasting much much longer and are more frequent.

So I log onto ATS and the first thing I see is this thread!! Then I read about dreaming in French and that is something I have never heard of.. How do you know if you even have??

I too had thought Billy Graham had died and I asked that same question a

couple of days ago about him dying and I could of swore he had died and I am

not confusing him with Oral Robert's death either. ^Y^

It's not about dreaming in French. LMAO
"Already dreamed" is how I would interpret the phrase that a member called YouAreDreaming wrote about above. "deja reve"
That poster said that deja reve - or already dream(ed) as I have translated it is the postulate that deja vu -already seen - in French - comes from having already dreamed of the experience.
The member said a book was in the works and I look forward to it.
It's got me to wonder though do I dream in French ?

My ears have been ringing non-stop for the past month, I wish I knew how to answer them, and that is no joke, it is driving me nuts and it ain't the steering wheel in me trousers either. Seriously, my ears have been ringing and it is crazy. I hate it. Really.

I have been having reoccurring dreams of living a different life and knowing

everyone by their names, having conversations, knowing places and

houses in real time and having nothing to do with my real physical life or

anyone I know in this life.


I had the same experience when I was a Junior Observer, 2nd in charge on

a seismograph crew exploring for oil and natural gas. I would have dreams

of having a different crew and knew everyone's name as though I had

always worked and interacted with them in another life.


This is going to even sound stranger I was walking down the line. This

means along a 36 pair cable we laid on top of the ground with various display

patterns of magnetic geophones connected to the cable stretched over

several miles connected to a seismograph computer in a truck. The

geophones picked up vibrations from the ground surface turning them into

electronic signals generated after the vibraseis trucks created these

bouncing strata signals or vibrations directed deep beneath the Earth's strata

formations that determined whether oil barring formations or natural gas

existed thru the data retrieved to be sent out for further analysis by

geologists.


Getting back to walking down the line again the sky changed colors an

everything looked different as though I was in a different world the air

seemed different the trees were different everything seemed different and

complete quietness surrounded me and I was walking in the opposite

direction and the trucks were in a different position and it was a cool weather

day. No drugs, medication or alcohol I was twenty years old at the time. This

could all have to do with a magnetic phase shift and frequencies I do not

know. All of a sudden I was back walking in the right direction and

everything was back to normal.


To explain further about the oil and natural gas exploration 5 to 6 inline large

vibraseis trucks on the road would shake the ground from a low to a higher

frequency like a mini Earthquake. With the 2 way radio on it sounded like a

high pitched vibrating Twitty Bird sound low to high pitched sound lasting

approx. 15 seconds at a time with 15 second intervals before the trucks

vibrating pads touched the ground vibrating again over and over all day in

synchronization electronically thru the radio with the computer located in a

truck, we called the dog house. ^Y^
