It happens alot, its done to get publicity.

It might be that. Or it could be the media does it intentionally for psy-op reasons.

Orville Reddinbaker is digitized. We're not losing our minds or slipping timelines. Since 1995 VR technology has existed, and used to recreate long dead celebrities. Orville's family, in this case gave the rights to Hollywood to CGI his likeness and voice and release commercials with his digiitized avatar. John Lennon has also been digitized thanks to Yoko Ono. I believe this is why all the celebrity deaths vs alive is happening. Just imagine how or why Hollywood would use this tech. Especially where contracts are concerned.

No it just means that my sunday school teacher was right. John Lennon and thousands of other good souls have been suffering in some twisted dimension of hellfire.

Luckily they are back so the gates have opened and now i hear John will be returning to the stage at the Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas for a three night show.

So ya know, if your in town avoiding the apocalypse, pick up some tickets.

I could have SWORN that Frank Oz ("father" of the muppets) and also the one playing/voicing Yoda died some time ago. Seriously, 100% convinced I heard that he died. Today I read to my astonishment that he is still alive....

On another topic:

I distinctly remember the tank running over the guy in Tiananmen Square. Now I just watched videos on youtube and I am in shock.

These are very firm memories for some of us. Please someone explain how so many people can remember the same thing with the same details and they are all wrong. Some of these instances pre-date the internet and go back to a time of 3 or 4 channels on the tv, newspapers on the doorstep, and magazines as your only source of news.

Okay...then I'm not as crazy as I thought.

And I know what you mean about collective or mass memories. Some sort of subsecond misfire in your brain or you hear or see (or think you hear or see something) and then that perception becomes the memory and then you share it and others agree they believe that is what they saw and heard and you reinforce each other and then you can't correlate the memory to what you later see.

Strange this thread just popped up for me, only last night i was telling my daughter that Michael J Fox had new sitcom coming out, She was adamant that it cant be true because he had died, "But mum i saw it on the tv, it was on the news a few years back" It took me a good amount of persuading her that he is in fact alive.

This has also happened to me, i was sure Carrie-Anne Moss had died, she played Trinity in the Matrix, but thankfully both her and Michael J Fox are both alive and fine.

Just a glitch in the matrix perhaps

Just rumors, or maybe they had faked their death, or just disappeared for awhile. Bill Nye was reportedly dead a few weeks ago, and quickly was dismissed as a hoax.

I remember for a fact hearing about her death some time ago. Maybe a year or two, it seems so distant.

Maybe I need to rethink what is meant by the dead rising from their graves.

My "celebrity" confusion was over Johnny Carson. I kept thinking he had died, and yet he was alive. I know now he's gone, but I was so confused over his being alive years before. Weird.

Mandela too. Billy Graham too. Thought they had died in the past.

i am always telling my husband 'DIDNT THIS PERSON DIE' he and i r always looking up people and eitherthere is nothing on themor in fact we find places were people have died but yet they r still on tv how is that possible lol

A couple years ago, my cousin in Ireland told me that Billy Joel was dead. She knew that I was a fan when I was in high school, hehehe...

Anyway, for a few days after that, I told several people that Mr. Joel had indeed succumbed.

Needless to say, that was the last time I trusted a dead celebrity report to my cousin in Ireland

I'm just glad that Barry Chuckle is alive and well.

Okay, I'm watching The Internship (2013) and I saw act John Goodman whom I specifically remember dying from a Heart attack a long time ago. Not really sure what to think of this, but this is just weird. I can't remember how I found out he died but I do remember it seemed so genuine when they talked about his death. I remember thinking to myself, R.I.P Goodman, since I was a fan of The Flintstones but this is just bizarre. Wow.

I think I'll go back to finish watching the movie, so if anyone want to clear up about what the deal is with John Goodman, would really appreciate it. Please don't tell me I'm living in a different timeline, one where he didn't die from a heart attack - I see a lot of people make false claims over the Internet these days but he died years ago so I guess people still made false claims even back then.

There's just too much to read in this thread, can't really be bothered with it.
