Thats why there is a big push to the heavier, 75gr 5.56. The increased lethality and better long range accuracy by just changing the round instead of
the caliber, weapon, etc. killed off the 6.8spc. The 75gr rounds are much longer, causing larger wound tracks when they tumble and will fragment
reliably and explosively at slower velocities, which means farther ranges. All the go fast guys are already fielding the 75gr OTM(open tip match)
round and they are very happy with the results. The 1:7 twist barrels already in use work perfectly for this round as well, so there is no added
cost, just change the rounds going into the magazine.
