Another neat consequence of an occupation and manufacturing puppet govt eh?: placing the locals in a situation where they have to choose between being a paid traitor, or an unemployed patriot. One is a freedom fighter, the other a terrorist or insurgent... depending on your POV.

Haven't we as a humanity learned this history lesson before? to the point it's 100% predictable? If doctors can be trained to learn & avoid mistakes from history, why can't people?.. oh yeah, it doesn't serve the interests of TPTB who like to serve the same stale dish over and over, knowing sheeple will gobble it up as fresh & tasty.. works every time and its pathetic.

Actually I think it's a good question as to whether or not if humans really learn from history. Do they? Or do they simply follow similar thinking patterns to gain power and fulfill certain lusts and urges?
With the doctors learning from past mistakes you have to realize that that's because of adjustments and changes in the training of the doctor, whereas for politicians anybody can run for elected office no matter how ignorant or stupid they are to how history has run it's course. It might not be so much about TPTB but more of being human?

We, people & americans in particular, are an easily duped arrogant bunch who believe that we're smarter & more technologically capable today, ergo yesterdays mistakes do not apply anymore... until of course we step back and see that we are in fact repeating the same mistakes.

IMO we get duped into this mind set by TPTB.. imagine if immediately following 9/11 instead of being bombarded by scripted "terrorist", war and nationalistic propaganda.. everything was put into a larger perspective: we were reminded to be skeptical referencing events in history like Reichstag & Gulf of Tonkin.. and the massive human suffering that resulted?

Lessons from history are completely ignored, flushed down the memory hole.. heck we don't even get recent history, the MSM should be reminding us every election cycle that history has shown us the GOP and DNC do little more than recycle their own brand of failure, lies, scandal, incompetence and corruption.. or that power structures of the past have used omnipresent enemies and "divide & conquer" just like our own govt does today.

I think in part that why we get stupid "news" stories about Tiger Woods or which hollywood tart flashed her vagina this week.. it obviously keeps the masses minds distracted, to the point researching & discussing boring stuff like learning from history is reserved for 'pseudo intellectual coffee shop hippies'.

Wipe away all the propaganda and what we have done to the innocent people in iraq & afganistan is very SIMILAR to abhorrently vile, disgusting and evil actions of past rogue power structures..
