Would a Pope/Vatican lie or hide the truth?

The Vatican was involved in a multi-national conspiracy involving banking fraud in the late 70's-80s. The banker that handled the money laundering for the vatican was murdered. The Pope that was about to bring in authorities to clean up the Vatican died about a month into his office.

sound familiar? this was the basis for the 3rd godfather series as well. And it is true, you can google it and research it yourself. This is only one example of what the Vatican is capable of.

Why the Vatican even exists is beyond me. Jesus did not build elaborate churches to minister from, nor collect vast real estate holdings or hoard Gold and art treasures. Jesus ministered from mountaintops, from fishing boats, from the edge of the jordan. He led an exemplary life, not one fo wealth and arrogance.
the Vatican would do well to study what Jesus taught once in awhile.
