So making gestures with ones fingers can heal ??

Why are there so many sick people in the world if it's that simple ?

When my pain killers have worn off I will give this a go as I'm pretty open minded, if it does no t work and my kids laugh at me for doing David Carradine I will have a few finger gestures for you lol

Thank you OP. It is well worth trying - IMHO for pains, inner stress etc. True, it is a hypnotic method - the teachr is very suggestive when he explains. That is not bad at all - it may turn out to be a useful tool, especially to those who do Chi Kung or other meditation. It is difficult soemtimes to believe that simple methods can actually work.

IMO you ought to be careful with those manifestation things. It seems to be a gross simplification - while as an NLP therapist I believe you can be more successful if you get rid of limiting beliefs, changing your syntax will not in itself bring dollars as scientologists and Silva mind control people believe. But that is off the subject...

Thank you!

Good for you! Based on those books I've read, there really is something to that. I am only beginning to study them now. You may have made quite a personal breakthrough there.

Funny thing is that I had to go through some real setbacks before I was exposed to this kind of science. 2008 was great and I didn't really appreciate it at the time.

Just a few months or actually weeks ago; I've been telling myself what a crappy year this is. The lack and desire for something better has propelled my interest to look for solutions and in this case alternative solutions to what is going on with me.

As I further my reading and study of these materials, I am beginning to appreciate the lessons this year has thought me. So now I am looking forward to a whole lot better 2010.

Like one here from ATS said "Everything happens for a reason, and only good will come of out of this" that rings true for me this time.

Made me think of the Divine Comedy really. One went through hell to reach heaven.

Take good care, and kind regards.

I'm not sure if he is selling a book. Even if he is, I'm not in the position to buy it right now; and with what had happened with the economy, I suppose a lot of people feels the same.

Aside from that, he already thought the technique that had piqued my interest and gave a satisfactory explanation about it; I don't think there would be any point in buying more materials if I'm just concerned with it's practical application as of now.

I am not Japanese, I did study Nihongo though back in college as part of our curriculum. I'm not really good at it by the way.. I usually felt like falling asleep and often get distracted by this pretty girl that was in my class

As a kid I was very interested with the characters in the Sengoku Jidai Period in Japan; I like those one's who are known for their courage, brilliance and honor.

In regards to the hand gestures; Thousands and if not millions of people are believing that Mudra has power; I cannot discount something that I really don't know anything about. Besides, somehow I feel that it resonates with me.

Be well

By the way to add:

You are very much welcome and Thank you as well

Hope it works out well for you guys

That is exactly what got my interest; it's simple, it's easy and free. I have ADD, so the more simple and less complex it is to do, the more I am confident that I could follow through with it.

I'm still constantly looking for other ways and methods that are simple, easy and free to do. I will be sure to share if you guys are interested.

Thank you for your words; I really do appreciate it. At first I was thinking perhaps a lot here on ATS would think of me as silly; Years ago I would have listened to that instinct and backed off.

However with things that have happened this year, being silly doesn't really matter. As they say, results matter.

I'm still not sure if this particular method would work for me.. but I do feel something subtle. And by getting some positive comments about it, just gives more enthusiasm; I am sure I would start feeling it in a big way in no time.

You are very much welcome, I'm glad you liked it.

Thank you again and be well friend.

I tried it and felt nothing, hand cramped up a little bit though. Wasn't mentioned as one of the 'effects' one should feel from this exercise though. I didn't really notice anything change in my mood or any alleviation of back pain or warmth arising in the back area. I'm sitting near a heater that is on, practically on top of the damn thing, so perhaps this is masking any subsequent effects.

The guy who instructed on this technique came of a little odd to me, almost as if he didn't buy into it himself. Just seemed really blah and bland throughout the video without given any real meaningful explanation behind the mechanics of the technique and how the effects manifest themselves. Nothing I found meaningful in my opinion at least.

I'm not sure what to tell you friend.. Honestly I felt it but only in a very subtle way. My guess is to why I just felt very little is that after years of not taking care of myself by eating unhealthy foods, smoking and being too concerned with problems and frustrations that my energy level is quite low.

This is why I will keep on trying; it might help me become more sensitive to it.

In regards to him looking uninterested... I'm not sure.. but he is a master though; usually those guys become very desensitized in what they are doing, they just know that it works. The kind of "It's up to you" mindset.

In any case we have nothing to lose by trying it I guess.

Take care, I hope your hand is better now.

Hehe don't take my word for it. I'm no expert, I'm just a simple guy with average intelligence.

We have nothing to lose in trying. But personally I wouldn't do it in front of other people...

You might want to look into EFT. I've been researching on it last night; So far it looks very promising.

Hope it works out for you

Hi Kokatsi, I'm glad you liked it.

You're onto something there in regards to manifesting. I am actually doing some research on NLP the other week and EFT last night.

One thing that I feel I could use this for, is letting go of negative beliefs. In part 2 or part 3 (I'm not sure) of this video, he suggested another exercise; In which you would write on a piece of paper all your dislikes, and things that have bothered you in the past. After which you would do the hand gestures over that paper, and he suggested that all those things would be released and wouldn't matter anymore.

I haven't tried that method yet cause I'm still finishing up on some exercises from another book which gave me instructions to write things down as well.

I wanted to keep them separated so I know which one works best for me.

Be well and kind regards.

Before this, I didn't know anything about Mudras. I looked up on it and it was very interesting. There are ones for success, for removing obstacles, Pran I saw was used for improving the eye sight, and helping the root chakra. Very very interesting; Thank you for that.

You can post a thread about Mudras if you haven't yet done so; I am sure it would help and interest a lot of spiritual.

Kind regards and be well D1ss1dent.

Thank you for your reply. I watched a few more videos on Shun Shen Tao, (the Japanese would be Shendo I guess) and I am really taken by this grandmaster. The exercises called Nei gong Hwa Jing - spiritual clearing - really got my interest. I turns out that the famed method of muscle testing comes from China too.
I tried the finger technique several times and it works. In NLP, there is a swish technique that is similar. But in Nei gong Hwa Jing there are additional factors - possession of various body and auric parts should also be cleaned out with similary simple methods. I am trying to learn that too. I am very grateful for you to point my way in this direction, as I already practice Chi Gong and learning some T'ai Chi, and since my Reiki teacher grade (and seeing auras) I have been familiar with the practice and challenge of clearing elementals and unwanted spirits. The Grandmaster explains this in a very lucid logical way. There is even a category of those things we did not categorize earlier in the clearing process, as well as for re-checking for elements hiding in the body or aura. I recommend this highly for everyone. Muscle testing may take a little more to learn as he says, and all this has nothing to do with religion, he mentions several times that for example if someone accepts Jesus in his/her ehart, that is on another level and it does not have to be cleared or treated. However, other forces should be cleaned out daily - and no matter how accomplished one is in Chi Gong or meditation etc. thios whole level - the level of shen, souls, spirits etc -is another level. Also, there are our own problems and thought loops - he call them anomalies - so there is a personal, psychological layer, and a transpersonal layer. That is very wise. I have grown tired of ideologies that would impose one layer upon another - like psychologists trying to explain that it is all in your mind or your childhood, or religious fanatics explaining that your ego loops are only going away if you make a spiritual breakthrough in their terms.

These methods c an be used for both and treat them separately. Thank you again!

Hi Kokatsi,

I'm glad you have found something that have resonated with you. More power to you friend, and may you be more successful in whatever path to self-improvement you wish to take.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It has opened to me more doors and more ways for improvement; As they say, "Every great journey begins with the first step."
As of now, I'm currently doing an experiment with a YouTube video about EFT. It's a 30 day experiment and so far I'm seeing results getting more apparent everyday.
I will be sharing and making a new thread about this video with the inclusion of my findings and results. I'll make sure that I see the results first before I make that thread so I will be confident that what I would be sharing is substantial and of value.
As some of you know, I (along with millions of people) have been hit hard by this economic crisis, and after months of being depressed and facing defeat, I have made the decision to fight this.
My goal is to turn my and my family's life around for the better. I will be sharing with everyone what I have personally found to be effective in the hopes that it will work for others, because now I know what it's like.
Since early last year, I've been looking for ways to improve our situation, and have tried numerous methods and practices that have promised to make things better, to my detriment many did not work, at least not for me. I'm sure some of them have worked for others, and I am glad it did, even if I didn't see those dramatic results personally, it gave me hope, and that is my only fuel to go on and will always be thankful for that.
So far nothing much yet. Still looking, reading, researching and trying.
Lot's of methods out there shows much promise like EFT, Sedona, NLP and the like. It's just that not too many out there are for free.
If you guys have any recommendations or suggestions, I along with many would be grateful to have them.
For people who are in the same situation as me, don't give up!
Happy New Year! and may 2010 be great for us all.
P.S.
You are very much welcome Bijen, I hope it works out for you. Happy new year buddy.
Edit: Added spacing, Fixed grammar, Deleted redundant paragraphs, Somethings did not sound right and wasn't what I was trying to convey so had to reword.
I do a lot of energy awareness exercises, mainly using a sweeping motion technique while concentrating and I'm quite good at sensing my own energy, but I must admit I did the exercises in the video and didn't feel anything. I shall try again though in a more relaxed setting and see if it works any better. Thanks anyway.
Hi Uesugi Kenshin8, that's coincidence,
I was looking at EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) myself earlier, as I'm thinking about giving it ago myself. Do you have the link to the video you mentioned. Thanks!
Sorry to hear about your depression & I sincerely hope you find a solution to your problems. I also suffer from depression and it's definitely not a nice place to be and the only thing that's really given me hope so far is reading the Tibetan book of living and dying. An excellent book! I'm currently reading Divine matrix at the moment and that's quite a self empowering book also. All the best.
I've been trying this out lately... Specifically on quieting my mind. It seems to be working, but let's see if it does continue to work to rule out placebo.
Great thread you have here...
Hi Kindred,
Thank you for your kind words, honestly I don't know how to say this... Usually when I read some positive comment about some technique that promises to help you improve things in general, I always felt happy for that person, however I do wish I can say the same thing because it didn't work for me.
However this time.. I really feel that it did. Something came my way, that wasn't expected at all.
I started that EFT video before the year ended, and I'm willing to give it a go until the end of January. I do it twice a day, every morning when I wake up, and at night before I go to sleep.
The video link by the way is : www.youtube.com...
After the 30 day experiment, and if the results are positive, and very tangible, I shall post a thread dedicated to that video including my findings, just so it can spread more awareness and maybe it will also be of some help to others.
Try it too! Be well Kindred, Happy New Year!
