I have a question guys. First, if I have posted this in the wrong category, I'm sorry. I wasn't sure were to put it. Also, I did a search and did not find anything that came close to what I want to ask, got to admit, that was a bit surprising.

Ok, I did a search for sites such as this one on Google using a few key words, and Above Top Secret is right at the top as expected. The reason I did this was because it seems we have a few threads lately that are calling out to ATS members for action. I will not link to the posts I am talking about but I am sure most of you know already.

I want to say, I agree with the idea of "action" in the form of a non-violent planning and would love to be a part of the answer so to speak. I think the answers to many of the subjects we all talk about on ATS will require "Real Action". And we need to push it.

My concern/question is this, If my "job" was to try and spread disinformation or was to gather info on things being said or disclosed to the main stream public would not ATS be a great site to monitor? So, if we were to put together a peaceful plan here on ATS are we not giving away our battle plan so to speak?. Could we be being watched here ? My thoughts are "Hell Ya" but I would like some other views on this.

I do believe the UFO/ET questions are a hot topic, and a dangerous one at that. I will speak for MYSELF here only. I don't need anymore evidence to convince me if it is real. It's real!!!!!!! and it's deadly and people who try and ramp up the masses turn up dead at times. By the way, don't bother trying to fight with me on this, They are my feelings right or wrong, mine.

This stuff is so so highly classified and the USA government will kill to protect it. And what's even worse is the truth could be horrific. We have heard for people who were in the know, and it's bad news. So, my question is if we were to talk about a peaceful plan and work together for world wide disclosure ( you can count out the USA Gov on that one ). Are we being monitored and are we safe?

I know This is a no brain-or and the answer is can a get a "Amen" here brother but some of our posts are asking for ACTION and I want to participate but to what extent is safe?

No. You can't plan safely here on ATS.

Are we being monitored? Um, yeah, most likely.

You know why in gangster movies a couple of gangsters walk outside their own club to talk, and put their hands over their mouths while they talk?
Cuz they can't trust anyone.

If you go to ATS alot of course the searches are going to be on top.
Research how google search engine works
Its nothing serious . . .

Don't 'plan' on the internet.
Meet some real people

Personally I dont really care because everyone gets a big load of whos the real boss in the not too distant future.

Bless their hearts....they tend to sometimes assign teams to me from time to time. I see mil blackhawks and non emergency, non law enforcement and non traffic helos in the strangest locations in Austin Tx that fly over me.

I have identified all the traffic, law enforcement, dps, and emergency helos in the area so I kinda got that deduction thing goin on.

Strange vehicles with the strangest license plates (ELOHIM, CROWN9) etc being in the oddest places at the oddest moments. Must be awkward for them.

However I cant stand when they zap me after a chemtrail spray...i get very emotional and delicate.

Without proof, I'd say 100% this site is monitored. I'm sure thousands of sites are monitored-- pro-gun sites, militia sites, many religious sites, including Christian, TEOTW sites, social forums addressing certain cultures, etc.. I'm on a concealed/carry board, USCCA, that I bet is monitored. What gets me is some lucky sucker is getting PAID to sit and read the posts here all day. I envy you, whoever you are!

LOL, come on, you know the answer to that one. Do you really think there is a safe place you could say something publicly that would get you arrested these days?

Big brother is everywhere. Assume all you say and do is monitored. I think my grandmother was a prophet, according to her you should never do anything in private you would be afraid/embarassed to do in public. She lived long before the internet.

Let me give you an example here:

Say, a few wanted to form a "pre" organization. A peaceful one acting within the laws of the land. Lets say one who's plan is to put out info to create awareness to the masses to a topic. In the USA we have freedom of speech. It's is one of the best defenses we have to keep tabs on our Government, sadly we don't use it enough. Now on ATS we have a lot of very smart people and some not so smart people as well. LOL But, We have ideas and thoughts about very interesting stuff and we sure are fast to point out bad info. GIVEN the fact we are likely being monitored, If we remain within the law as to what we say or plan, does its really mater. Should we regardless?

are we being monitored -the answer is YES! if you use kapersky type in something about jfk assassination and whether or not the cia was involved in it as jfk said 2 weeks before he was killed that the cia were a national disgrace and that they needed to be abolished -kapersky will pop up saying that the cia are now hacking you- choice allow or not . big brother is watching all of us closely they are afraid that we just might stand up for our selves and the man is quite insane and paranoid.
as to setting up something here to unite us forget it as all of the ops will shut us down but where there is a will there is a way but the net is no place to discuss anything if you know what is good for us all .the safest way is word of mouth but know who you talk to and their affiliations-one set of lose lips can sink a lot of ships . as the man considers it treason if we the people stand up to them we are dissidents and something to be feared as we just might give others the idea to stand and unite but remember the man will shoot us all in the streets as they have their laws that say they can -the man has a GOD COMPLEX.
ask the young man from the states that was running his car on hydrogen and he posted it on you tube-about 7 months ago they found him dead on the side of the road and his car has disappeared .

Of course we are being monitored on the Internet.

Hell, the entire Forum Username Database stores your password as an easily crackable MD5 encryption, or SHA-1, wrapped in some java.

Milw0rm's forum username database got all its passwords exposed in this way. Milw0rm does not exist now.

It would be the U2Us that blackhat hackers would be interested in. Or the removal of posts/threads.

Maltego provides very interesting data on ATS.

The CEOs and partners information can also be publicly obtained via a quick WHOIS database search.

Then we have SSL Certificate fraud which can be replaced on the ATS website, just like any site, or within a public network you are on. Its all very easy, so I can only imagine what power the military have.

IP logs on the ATS server would also be another method of one obtaining information.

Of course it's being monitored. I've seen the screenshots of the ips being tracked to the department of defense. I thought everyone knew this? Or did they ban everyone talking about it again?

Don't be a fraidy cat. Are you going to let them intimidate your tongue? Frankly, I hope they are listening! And I hope to continue to give them an ear full. And if they want to come and get me for anything I've said, let them try. Their fear tactics do not work on me. I'm crazy, and you can't scare or intimidate crazy.

With all due respect, your searching out this topic, needs some work.

Are You The Victim of An Agent Provocateur, On ATS?

Philsophical Discussion : Freedom of Speech vs Treasonous Actions On ATS...

Philosophical Discussion : What If Next Time You Clicked "Post New Topic" Made You A Terrorist?

Those above are three of mine.

Don't be fooled by ATS' professional debunkers

Have you ever noticed that most 911 Debunkers on ATS are usually new memebers?

Ten Misconceptions About Truthers That Debunkers Will Have YOU Believe

Those three above are about "De-Bunkers".

ATS News With Johnny Anonymous: "The CIA Invests In Spying On You!"

Sites like ATS are monitored by an analyst and assigned a threat level

ATS has been infiltrated with agents of ignorance!

Those three above are about spies, or spies being on ATS.

Any "action" you speak of off of ATS, is your business.

However, whether the site is being monitored is clearly and resoundingly, yes.

I've read books that specifically speak about sites like ATS, although ATS is never referenced, that look for leaks, look for spies, and look for "National Secrets".

That's called lo-tech data-mining for open-source intelligence.

Get the picture?

Welcome to ATS!

Is ATS Being Monitored? How Safe Are We?

As I've said many times in threads that usually seem to get deleted...

It is altogether likely that ATS is being monitored. It would be a fantastic failure on the part of intelligence agencies if it were not. There are lots of such agenceies, and trillions of dollars available for covert operations.

How could they possibly not be monitoring ATS?

The only questions are how, who and at what level. Remember that there are many intelligence agencies. And not all of them belong to the US government. And even those that do probably don't all operate in complete agreement with one another. For example, if the CIA, the NSA and the Mossad were all engaged in covert actions here on ATS, it's entirely possible that they would not all necessarily know the details of one anothers operations. Also, their methods might be disimilar.

The most popular means people like to talk about is agents as users. People who register accounts and read and respond to posts. This probably occurs, but realize that while this method would be good for deflection and obfuscation of topics that the group in question wanted to make disappear, it would be a lousy method of monitoring. There's simply too much traffic to hire people to constantly be reading material. For monitoring it would be far more effective to insert a machine on the network through which all ATS traffic would pass. This machine would search for key words and phrases and then pass only relevant material on to human handlers to evaluate and respond to. This method would have the additional benefits that it could be done without the knowledge of anyone on the staff, and that even private U2U's between members would be available for observation. Finally, it's also popular to suggest that ATS itself is a direct creation of, and funded by the CIA. This would have the advantage that it would be much easier to simply delete topics and ban users you didn't like, but it would have the disadvantage that more people would need to know about it, and it would be more likely that users would notice. Of course, topics have existed in the past in which people do research on ATS and post the results of their research. Those topics do seem to get deleted, which is obviously suspicious, but on the grander scheme of things it's probably not really necessary for ATS to be a CIA front organization. Automated survelliance by a single gateway computer and a few covert operatives would be sufficient for most purposes.

So yes, ATS is probably being monitored. But it's also quite likely that the entire internet is being monitored. Remember that much of the original backbone of the internet was funded by DARPA. So yes...with the department of defense having been involved since the beginning, there's absolutely no reason to doubt that there are government machines scanning through everything that passes through them. All web traffic, all email...everything.

Assume that everything on the internet is being monitored. If it isn't, then our intelligecne agencies are abyssmally stupid.

I think ATS makes it as safe for us as can be. I never rely upon a website to protect me, beyond securing private mail. Even then, I have to assume that nothing is truly protected in the 'networld any more than in your real life. It's our own responsibility -- our identities and personal data.

If "they" come to get me, well....... I've lived. Nothing I'm going to waste a minute worrying about though.

Also...just to put things into perspective, a google search for "Is ATS Being Monitored" gives this thread as the number one result.

This thread is two hours old.

If google can do it just by having a couple machines running web spiders, surely covert government intelligence agencies with hundreds of billions of dollars to throw around can do it too.

I would say we are pretty safe at the moment.Of course this site like many other sites are being monitored.I don;t see and reason to worry about it.Lets all give a big wave or a big finger to all those Cia,NSA,and black operators and hope they have a happy christmas but a rotten new year.

If at any time some members at ATS just dissapear and never come back. You will always feel in the back of your mind that the goverment may have cut them off the net or even worst for posting certain infomation over the net.I could dissapear anyday now.

Even if they do, there's nothing they can do to stop monitoring. See the above google link. I would be fascinated to see a usage log and see just how often DoD computers are submitting web requests to ATS. But again...even if these agencies are not being as bold about it as google is, there are ways to monitor network traffic that would not show up in those logs. No need to monitor ATS directly. Gateway machines could be monitored instead.
