2001: A Space Odyssey does make for an interesting irony for 9/11.
2001 was one of the most scientifically realistic movies ever made. Where as the supposed destruction of two 400,000+ ton buildings by airliners less
than 200 tons is one of the most fictitious events ever imagined.
How do you build 1300 foot buildings without determining the distributions of steel and concrete and yet in EIGHT YEARS the nation that put men on the
Moon can't tell the world the TONS of STEEL and TONS of CONCRETE that were on every level of the buildings 40 years after the Moon landing.
Did Newtonian physics have anything to do with getting to the Moon? Duh, what does it have to do with a plane hitting a building? How many tons of
steel were on the 81st level of the south tower? What do you mean the building deflected less than 16 inches and oscillated for FOUR MINUTES?
HAL9000 must be laughing his ass off.
