ASPEN, Colo. — Charlie Sheen has been arrested in the Colorado resort town of Aspen on charges related to an alleged case of domestic violence.
Aspen police spokeswoman Stephanie Dasaro says the "Two and a Half Men" star was arrested Christmas Day on charges of second-degree assault and menacing, both felonies, along with criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.

That being said I am going to give Charlie the benefit of the doubt in this case because Denise Richards his last wife said on Howard Stern that he was never violent. I am chalking this up to the police being over zealous and them media jumping the gun for obvious reasons. If these charges are all dropped expect no retraction by the post.

Yeah sure> Charlie is such a threat that "they" had to arrest him on a relativly minor charge so he could be out on bail about 15 minutes after his arrest. And now he'll have the ungodly threat of anger/family counseling or even ( gasp) community service to silence his crackpot 9/11 theories. Too bad people here don't love logic as much as paranoid drama!
Sheen will be held without bond in the Pitkin County Jail until his first court appearance. The court was closed for Christmas, and no date for his appearance has been set.

But, can we not give him the benefit of the doubt until more facts are released?
Charlie Sheen was released from jail after being arrested on domestic violence charges Friday morning.
The Two and a Half Men star was booked at 11:20 a.m. for second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief, according to a spokesperson for the Pitkin County Sheriff's Department in Aspen, Colo.
