I like RT more and more on the stuff they cover i think its also a great place for real news you don't get in the MSM.

They talk about the lies of MSM and their inability to put out the truth.

RT came under attack from Fox News talk show host Bill O'Reilly last week. He lashed out at an interview with former radical anti-war activist, now professor, Bill Ayers who was speaking to RT's Anastasia ChUrkina. She now puts American mainstream television in the spotlight to see if its spinning too far from the truth.

US news – entertainment company?

“I think the problem is that more than anything else, we don’t value our journalists any more in the same way that we used to in broadcast,” Silberman told RT. “There was a time when you had to justify your FCC license by providing news as part of your community responsibility, and that is how you renewed your license. When the FCC was gutted in the 1980s under the Regan administration and its power was lost, all of a sudden US news became part of the entertainment industry.”

Really, the only way to ground things again so that the MSM is credible in the USA is for people to stop listening to them, even in passing. Simply tune them out. Cancel your newspaper subscriptions. Turn to online sources that are not linked to US media. *Find your own sources, I'm not your mother.*

Above all, learn to think for yourselves. There is no point believing everything you hear or see in print if your own life experience contradicts them. Believe in *your* experience. Look at and toward *your experience* to form your thoughts and beliefs instead of receiving them passively through the MSM. Those mortifying "reality" shows must go the way of the dodo soon. Please. Save yourselves.

S+F! I completely agree, that MSM is getting out of control. Who do they really work for? It seems as if there is so my bias in todays news that only one logical conclusion can be drawn. They are being influenced by somebody or something else. I would put my chips on the idea that money is the large influencing factor. Whether it is money and pressure from outside organizations or within, is my question.

Whatever evokes the largest reaction from the media, or has the highest ratings, is what is sold on the nightly news. And unfortunately most of America is far to busy, ignorant, or afraid to believe the truth. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Merry Christmas!

Its another good place to get real US and world news! The video just basically covers how the US media are liars and more interested in Entertainment instead of putting out the real truth of real news.

It also includes video interview from Chicago Professor Bill Ayres

The problem with entertainment industry like FOX is instead of reporting news they tend to make news with their own version.

This is just a flat out uninformed person speaking these words. The fairness doctrine was deemed unconstitutional by the American supreme court, it has little to do with Regan. Your a worthless if you feel that the fairness doctrine was anything less then unconstitutional, and wrong.

I believe people can see for themselves all day long that our MSM is Entertainment and not truth or real news, its all about the ratings, all about the show, and most importantly all about the money!

I love it. The time has come when Russians teach
us freedom of speech and an art of reporting.
Sad days in the republic. Thanks Fox

I have no doubts that Russian media is as corrupt.
But it's good to see them bite each other.

Somewhere in between (and off mass media completely)
lies the truth about both countries.

And the truth I think is that both suck.

Obviously it's about money. The reason people start businesses is to make money. That doesn't make the Fairness doctrine any less unconstitutional. The great thing is if you don't like the news you get from outlet then you can go to another one. I get my news from 4 different online, and watch a couple news shows.

The American media is a laughing stock around the world . But I am not sure it would be a good thing to entirely cut the American people off from their dosage of propaganda, BS and disinfo . Like the junkee , they still need their fix of the dubious substance . In a way it is a good thing . It is a filtering system . By now the american media is overtly egregious in it's mendacity . So much so , that only fools and ignoramuses still believe it and can thus be easily identified of being of an easily moulded and gullible persuasion when they make any kind of utterances that reflect their naive belief in it's authenticity and validity.

One thing i've learned about American "news" is that it's mostly opinion shows - and ive never really got the idea of those - Why would i want to hear another guys opinion on something? i prefer to have my own

I guess living in the country with the highest freedom of press has its downsides - everything else seems biased and stupid.

Here, any newscaster commenting on news would be put under scrutiny, and fired if he had any political bias.

I really don't get why people watch tv like fox, and even less why they quote them on a conspiracy site

I remember Aug 08 when Georgia attacked S Ossetia . The only people that had any idea of what was going on were the europeans tuned into RT . All the americans were getting for news was stories about britney spears and american idol. They had to rely on people watching RT to feed them up to date information. The american got some partial news days later from their media , but with the usual distortions and disinfo applied .

You might argue that RT were feeding the Euro's disinfo , but you only got to go visit the Russian/Georgian war thread on here to read a blow by blow account as it happened . And given the info we know today about that war , you decide whether those relating RT's account of events were disinfo , or were those americans getting their info from US MSM sources relating totally false , inaccurate and distorted accounts.

I don't watch TV, but have stumbled upon many clips from RT/Russia Today while surfing the web. RT has quite a large audience and many English speaking journalists work for them. I don't know any other news outlet of this size, which gives a lot of airtime to people like Webster Tarpley, Wayne Madsen, Alex Jones or people accused of anti-Semitism like Donald Boström.

“Conspiracy theorists” also sometimes make it into the MSM. But there the interviewer usually tries to belittle them with every question or comment. The normal listener will only remember, that these “conspiracy theorists” are crazy and ridiculous. On RT the audience can hear their ideas, findings and reasoning without ridicule. If a TV station presents you these people, ideas and facts in a normal news fashion, they sound less kooky and ludicrous. Perhaps you will even be tempted to do your own research and try to find out if these conspiracy theories might be true after all.

Donald Boström Interview - Info: Meanwhile Yehuda Hiss, an Israelian pathologist, has admitted the illiegal organ harvesting from Palestinians.

Like it or not American Media has switched places with Russian media. Just like they have switched their Communists to the American and Israeli havens. Now it is their turn to laugh.
Not funny for America.

American capitalism gone with a whimper
Front page / Opinion / Columnists
27.04.2009 Source: Pravda.Ru

Pages: 12

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheep le, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.
True the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

Speak the truth and shame the devil on Pravda.ru forum
