2012 is not going to be a significant year. Perhaps an isolated earthquake, like the one experienced recently in Haiti, but not much more.

The world is not going to end, nor is there going to be any global catastrophe of any kind.

You all should not be concerned with 2012. Try to focus more on yourself and there is going to be nothing to be worried about. Do not be pre-occupied with thinking about 2012 all the time.

No, Haiti was a tragedy, but tragedies do happen, it isn't sign of impending doom, it's just a tragic event. If you're going to take all tragic events as signs of the apocalypse, you're going to have to start a long time ago.

The ancient Maya prophecy is a lie. No Maya ever predicted the end of the world in 2012... unless they were selling you lies to make a quick buck. Deny ignorance, folks.

The world will not end in 2012. Stop worrying and enjoy life.

Ok, I don't know for sure...but I read this thing online...
www.globalhealingmeditation.org..." target="_blank" class="postlink" rel="nofollow">http...://www.globalhealingmeditation.org/id17.html

...Honestly, and I really shouldn't let it get to me but, this whole 2012 thing is starting to freak me out a bit. I always held an open-mindedness sense of judgement towards the events on 2012 and really had a feeling they are nothing at all. Unfortunately, I believe my self-exposure to it has gotten me shaken up about the whole thing.

I mean...massive epicness over the entire world. Basically, it says in that link something like a gamma ray burst will be ejected from the sun and swallow the Earth. Also, something along the lines of the Earth splitting and major death counts from all over the world.

Basically...if what that site says is true...Most of us are truly out of luck...
Am I letting this get to me too much? 2012 SUCKS!

I wish I knew what was really going to happen. I can only hope it'll be another Y2K. I am letting my coward side come out...forgive me lol...

I personally feel a Myriad of things will happen after all this will be a time of Great Change death AND Life.

Now for something queerly interesting.

Now I quote

"Dr Steve Myers said these faults will delay the machine reaching its full potential for two years. " Good ole Coincidences.

news.bbc.co.uk...

The best thing we can all do is simply remain positive and know that this change will effect every other Human on the face of the Earth.
What gets to me is what will be the Largest change.. LHC , Alien Contact, Bush Shedding his skin to reveal his Reptilian form? Global Totalitarian rule?
Me Revealing im the Messiah?

Stay Safe and Paranoid Folks.

I am really not sure about this one. I have looked into 2012 and the mayan calender quite a bit and there are some fascinating coincidences.

First thing is I definately do not think the world is going to end. If anything happens it is going to be something good. Humanity as a whole gets a promotion so to speak.

Allthough until then I think we will see an increase in bad (quakes, floods, wars, etc. ) and good (new inventions, breakthroughs in medicine, etc. ) things happening, both in quality and quantity.

I also loved the stuff David Wilcock did about 2012, allthough I think he is not the most credible person in the world. But it still fascinates me.

Well, we live in exiting times, that is for sure!!

BUT what happens if we all wake up on december 22nd 2012 and everything is as it was the day before? I am kind a scared of believing the story because of the huge dissapointment that might come if it turns out to be not true.

Actually, that right there is completely wrong. The Mayans knew about the sunspot cycle being 11 years long and depicted it on their calendars. This WAY predates anything recorded by modern scientists.

Our scientists still know next to nothing about it, and only started monitoring them in about 1600 AD. Actually, i think it was 1800's, but then were able to use that information to back date cycles. Let me look...

Here it is:

In 1610, shortly after viewing the sun with his new telescope, Galileo Galilei (or was it Thomas Harriot?) made the first European observations of Sunspots. Continuous daily observations were started at the Zurich Observatory in 1849 and earlier observations have been used to extend the records back to 1610. The sunspot number is calculated by first counting the number of sunspot groups and then the number of individual sunspots.

Cycles is a very interesting concept. Doesn't a cycle imply that one is exactly like the other? Exactly, with no other variables changing? Something about the mentioning or use of cycles just doesn't sit right with me. There are some things (like meteors) we just don't know about that can surely disrupt or change a "cycle." Just a comment.

Wake up.... I'm still working on falling asleep on Dec. 21, 2012

Now that I've had a few days of sleep since my last post and I've spent time away from 2012, I must be honest. A year ago, I felt as though 2012 would DEFINITELY be another 2000. In fact, I get a deep feeling now towards the same thought.

But when I read that article on that website about the "new science" and the "final thoughts on 2012" it just seemed too perfect to not happen. Now, with everything else going on that I've recently researched it just makes it even more plausible. Along with this plausibility of the events on 2012 (as far as alien contact goes) what reinforces it even more is the whole Yemen star gate ordeal. Excuse my thinking if you are really not a believer of that kind of thing at all, but I just think that anythings possible. If it's true that the star gate opened in the Gulf of Aden and the war ships are there to keep the inter dimensional beings from exiting...It could mean a very bad war (imagine the possibilities) and loads of casualties.

Star gates? Aliens? War? ... Star Gates? heh...I love ATS. I do apologize if it all is a bit too far fetched for you...I usually think it is too but at times I just hope with all my soul that it's real. That would be the sci-fi fan's dream come true.

@dryadlover...

Theres no end to the world? There was no beginning to the world? hahahaha try explaining that to a scientist. I support what you said, "if theres no beginning, theres no end". But the world had a beginning. Lets look at this differently. If the world had no beginning, theres no end. There is an end. Not in 2012. The moon moves 3.8 centimeters away from earth a year. We depend on the moon. If we did not have the moon, we wouldnt be here. The moon controls the tidal waves we have. If we didnt have the moon, weather would be violent and seasons would be completely different. Over millions of years, the moon would be gone, and we would be dead. BUT, we will be so technologically advanced that we can easily go to another planet like earth. There is already a way to control hurricanes! This is a fact but has not been put to action yet. Back to the subject, for earth to be destroyed, it would take billions of years. The sun would have to "burn out" (the suns main fuel is converting hydrogen to helium). After its main fuel is exhausted, it will begin to fuse helium and once thats gone it will burn heavier elements. Each change in fuel will first diminish the size, then it will swell. Earth, Mercury, and Venus will be consumed. So earth did have a beginning, along with our universe.

It appears to be biblical. we have the Jews attempting to build their temple on the mount. we have a world government par sey~, We have Haarp.
Yes, Revelations appears to be the most logical assumption one could draw to the eyes of the unlearned. 2012 the return of Jesus.
all I can say is we are awake for a reason. we can see Satan and his work. without the ability to deceive, Satan is powerless without convincing or deceiving another to get his will or way. I think we all here are awake and can see.. I think we are called the Rightous, in the bible ... and something about the rightous is we will be murdered or something like that - not big on the bible and revelations. and I know the members here can site chapter and verse without fail.. so if you would please - tell me what will happen to the rightous and how..?
