Title.

Just a little curious- because I just heard about a couple of people on another thread explaining how they had the craziest dream yesterday and I was interested what everybody else was expiriencing. Not looking for a pattern but am just curious to hear what other people did while I was asleep ^^

to be honest, i had a intense dream, when i woke up it left me wanting more ha ha.

i am not going to get into it, because some of it doesn't even make sense to me.

however what i do remember is that, it had a lot to do with what i have been thinking about and researching the last couple days.

i am gonna try to remember more often.

Only two I can recall... one was located in a large park where a band was playing some old Janis Joplin. We took up a collection to buy a keg of beer.

Another was around a very large warehouse structure. I had a motorcycle and was talking folks from said location to a place near a woodsline some distance away.

Nothing very in depth for either but... since you asked lol.

Well to further elaborate on what I was saying earlier

I had one of those dreams where you wake up and 15 minutes later can still remember every detail about it -- almost as if it was real
(I really had to talk myself through it and get to the outlandish parts in the dream -- then I had an "ooh!" realization that it was just a dream)

It was essentially a days worth of time (and activities) and I woke up like it was a nightmare -- I woke up right when I was driving home with someone (in the dream) -- We both looked up and saw a bunch of flying ships(?)
The sight of them freaked me out almost uncontrollably in the dream and I woke up. (Its probably not true but I think I know what they look like now)

I'm not comfortable going into the other weirder/synchronous parts of the dream.

Nothing out of the ordinary for me. It's still the 20th for where I am at, but within the last 32 hours or so I have had dreams that are within my normal type. nothing out of the ordinary -lately-. Maybe my dreams where I practice teleportation would count, but those aren't daily.

I had a strange dream I caught a huge fish bare handed. It was weird but nothing significant.

I had one of those dreams with Giant flying sips, but they where like old ships from the 1700s. There where a bunch of sky pirates in a ship. The ship took up 1/3 of the sky. It was such a vivid dream, and it was so awesome. It was even frightening for me.

I dreamt of a dry rotton scorched earth
void of life
simmering in pale blue haze
choked by lightening flashes illuminating wastelands of destruction
alien lifeforms crawling from darkness...........

NO MORE WATER!!!

and various other things

Every night I am having dreams that have a similar theme of world catastrophe, world strife or something global that involves me and another small group of people involved in fighting for our survival against terrible overwhelming odds. Sometimes the dreams are more relaxed but usually they are relaxed in that a group of us are involved in conversation while Rome burns outside so to speak.

For a few months I have been in the habit of making quick notes on a notepad (I use an iPod touch now) to keep the memories fresh.

The dreams are always different but they have a constant theme of danger, struggle and death to some (or all) of my group in the form of being shot, being killed by outlandish beasts or the ground is opening up. One thing remains a constant – many Lights or objects in the sky like the stars are dancing.

Last night I dreamed that a group of us were stuck in a building and something was outside stalking us, my dog was snarling and battling this thing and losing, I pushed restraining, terrified hands off me and went outside to help and together my dog and I fought a black shiny things with huge snapping teeth and claws. My much loved dog was killed and the “monster” turned around and killed me by driving huge claws into my stomach. I was so angry at seeing my dog lying on her side as the beast-like thing turned on me that I woke up with my fist raised in the air above my head.

Months ago I used to dream of flying, now I dream of horrible things and they are so vivid and “real”. I do not drink booze or do drugs and I do not even smoke cigarettes and I dream incredible dreams. Even the nightmares are enjoyable in a weird way as I learned years ago to control dreams when they become terrifying but these dreams are not much terrifying more informative.

I am into deep meditation and I am physically very active with gym work, maybe a combination of this is having an effect on my dreams.

I would personally like to see ATS open a Book Of Dreams board... maybe under the more esoteric 'Mysterious Subjects' header.

People often hold dreams to be very important messengers. For some of those with... say, more incredible dreams to share and discuss, a dedicated forum might be well received.

Just a thought...

Don't worry too much. I smoke cigarettes, drink loads of caffeine, my diet isn't the best, and I dream *EVERY* night. Good rest involves two or more dreams I can remember.

and like you, mine are concerned with similar situations. Fighting 'the enemy' be it whomever (changes from dream to dream) and trying to keep my friends/group alive.

And yeah, sometimes I win, and sometimes I lose (die) and wake up! And sometimes a stalemate is reached and off to another dream.

The substance of your dreams (as mine) probably have more to do with how we inwardly view ourselves and the approach of the various forces at work.

Although, in my dreams, when I'm fighting 'the badguy', the reason why I am doing so, is because it is 'the right thing to do.' the 'badguy' is usually a murderer, or a slaver, or a conqueror. Few times have I fended off evil aliens, and once I sabotaged a alien cloning process because these old men worshipped an evil persona.

I'm not sure if I've stated it before, but my dreams provide me with GREAT problem solving, good entertainment, colorful visuals, and the ability to learn things I can't in my waking state.

I think everyone who agrees should star your post. Maybe a mod will wonder by and read your post.

i had a dream that i microwaved some crumpets, (i know, not well for the english steriotype).

But then it change into something quite wierd. I was walking around and getting chassed by a load of zombie/mutant type people, from an infection, like a plauge. But then after, i went back because i left my jacket, and all the zombies and shizzle were sitting down, having a fag. Turns out it was all just staged, like a sort of theme park ride.
Me and this girl who helped me find my jacket got into a relationship, then we moved into a house with my other housemates, and two new ones who loved cod6 (so we all got on).

Then i microwaved more crumpits

lucid dreaming can be a gift and a curse, it has shaped my life. it brings uforia and terror side by side
I am a sceptical outsider whos' life has been laden with prophetic experiences, haunted by lucid dreaming and simply a human magnet for esoteric experiences
one of the most horrifying paradigm shifts in the human psyche'
is the day when a shared dream embrases humanity
and i don't mean some hippy fckn peace n love dream
i mean a shared dream when it's documented globaly that everyone on earth had a dream along the same theme!

ie; everyone dreamt of fish, of waterfalls or bananas.

Such a phenominan will sweep earth before 2012 and it will be a wake-up call for many spirutually, but in reality is likely to be a mind control experiment administered btywho the fck knows?
um..............just a thought

Its kind of wild that someone posted this today. I have a very vivid dream last night about the melting of the polar icecaps. It was like I was hovering high above and that where there was once ice a huge lake was forming and it surrounded by vegetation. In dry areas and thawing areas there was a huge brick wall as if there had been civilization there before. Not a scary dream at all but a VERY vivid dream to be sure. Not sure what it means other than I have spent to much time on ATS

New member here. Long time lurker.
I just felt compelled to share. My dreams are usually not anything out of the ordinary, but last night was different.
I recalled, immediately after waking up, in my dream I was on the Vegas strip somewhere. I noticed a regular airplane taking off from McCarren. As it was ascending, what seemed like a fighter jet zoomed past it and out of sight. Then the airplane begins to nose dive into a hotel a block over.
Amidst the chaos of the scene I was awestruck, but calm. As I surveyed the area I figured there was enough people calling 911, so I started texting my friends about the amazing plane crash I just saw.
That's all. Interestingly enough, my roomate was supposed to fly to the New York area today. Flight got cancelled overnight.

Goodmorning, I've just woken up and this is the first thread I saw.

WELL the first dream that comes to me I was in a park place with friends when all of I sudden I heard a noise coming and a sense of dread. I looked to my side and there was a optimus prime type thing standing there but it sorta looked like the big robot dude from the original Power Rangers when they all fuse together. Anyway my friends panicked and ran and I asked permission to go inside the robot and fight what was coming. The enemy mech thing turned up and was overwhelming. There was this closet and we had one each and the mech went in it and backout with a renewed form and assaulted me instantly, I tried going in my closet but I kept failing to change into anything useful and ended up just playing cat and mouse, me being the mouse.

The rest all I can remember was driving around a big truck in busy traffick, and driving around a fast car in no traffic.

i dream allot everynight, and almost always remember them..

but last night i dreamed that I was in some kind of hospital or clinic,
with my sister whom i never really see much, (she lives across the country)
and some other woman in the 'clinic'.

The woman had a little laptop computer, that was dark blue, and had 2 screens on it that opened. one screen was a normal laptop screen, and the other one was just some clear, shaded piece of plastic, not sure what that part was for. lol

then my sister started typing on it really fast with one hand, like, abnormally fast... and i was surprised by it, and kept watching in amazement.
the other lady was talking about something specific, but i cant remember that now.

then we were in an airplane or aircraft going over a large body of water,
and met some other people "we knew" on board, and talked as we watched out the windows.

i remember some hiking after that, and being in the water, trying to get to the shore, and there was a large turtle, but it was my actual pet turtle that sits behind me as i type. only in the dream he was much larger. lol

uhmm.... i think thats it for previous nights journey. lol

oddly though, most nights my dreams consist of the same things, same people, always flying, always body of water somewhere, etc etc..

but, none of that has anything at all to do with my everyday "real" life, whatsoever. lol
weird.

well, you asked.
