TX, December 11, 2009 - Object hovering just off the ground, strange "men" scurrying about around the craft. MUFON Case # 20985

Very interesting report with multiple witnesses, but hard to believe because of the claims made. A classic case of an extremely vivid, detailed report that is fascinating to read, but very difficult to accept as fact. The claimed amount of eye witnesses is large, yet no cell phone images, if this is a true sighting it is among the wildest ever told. MUFON should have some further information if they have contact information, getting accounts from all of the witnesses and comparing the information would be invaluable in determining the honesty of the report. Getting children to lie in such a case would be very difficult as we saw in the 2009 Balloon Boy incident. Most likely the old saying, "If it's too good to be true, then it probably is." will be the case on this one.

wasn't MUFON supposed to be much more professional, now that they have millions in backing from that one donor, earlier this year??? they were suppose to have dedicated teams going out and doing the hard research. i don't see the results on their website, maybe someone from MUFON can enlighted us to their progress.

You are referring to the STAR team impact project.
www.mufon.com...

I know one of the STAR team members, don't know all the details, but in reference to your question, the STAR team receives phone calls and reports and if there is a chance to catch an UFO on the ground or get physical evidence of a landing, they'll make a call and try to get someone to that location immediately. Otherwise, if it's not something that needs immediate attention, it goes through the regular Mufon investigation, usually between 24-48 hours.

Hope that helps
