My paranormal experiences

I live in a neighborhood that was built not too long ago. After talking to the builders of the area they claimed there is a tree that was used to hang African Americans and people of wrong doing. I dismissed their claims because it seemed crazy. This tree is located across the street from my neighborhood far off the side of the road that was built. A couple months later there had been numerous car crashes and deaths of people who had hit the tree. Finally, they just cut the tree down..and that when the madness started.

One evening my brother, my brothers wife, and I were all sitting in my living room watching something on T.V. when my house phone started ringing. I looked at the caller ID and it said that my cell phone was calling my house phone. I checked my cell phone, and just as i remembered it was turned off. I never answered the call.

Then things get weirder. I had a neighbor move out of their house because their 3 year old daughter kept telling them that there was a man in her window. The little girls room was on the third floor.

Recently i had my dose of paranormal activity. I was in my bathroom when i heard someone clear their throat, except i was home alone. I walked all throughout my house searching for someone and i never found anything. A couple weeks later my brother was over at my house to help repair my bathroom sink when he heard the same throat clearing sound. He was so freaked out that he called me and said he would come back later to do it. After that i came home and went into my bathroom and nothing happened...for days. i was getting ready for work one morning and i heard the throat clearing sound except this time it was right behind me. Clear as day. It made my hair stand up. Also my dog was in the bathroom with me and she is a long haired boxer lab mix and she started growling and all of her hair was standing straight up! I then said aloud "you are freaking me out can you please leave" and the spirit or ghost left.

After my neighbor moved out, a new family moved in. They strangely came to my door and asked if this place was haunted. The man said he found indian burrial graves in the woods near our houses. im not sure if its indian spirits or not. But i just thought it was weird. Also i never checked it out. I have to admit im more freaked out than id like to admit. The ghost or whatever it is seems friendly and since then i just ask him to leave and he does for awhile and apparently he messes with other people. My speculation is that it is an African American man that was hung ;hence the clearing of the throat. But that is just my speculation. i have researched this online thousands of times and i cant find any history of this place.

Also my niece has been talking to this "man" ever since she could talk. She is now four..and she would say random things like this man is hurting..or he is a nice man or mean people hurt him. She says these things as if she is in a trance almost. I try to ask her questions about him or whatever she is talking about and its like she snaps out of it and cant remember anything.

This is all very strange..and i was wondering if anyone has had any paranormal activities as this. I thought i was crazy but then i noticed my whole street was aware of these hauntings. I would love some feed back.

I live in a spot with a lot of activity as well. Try burning sage and blowing the smoke in all corners of every room. A friend told me salt in the corners works well. Seems like it'd make a mess though!

there is actually an old man who lives down the street that i think has become senile from all the hauntings. He comes to my house and neighbors house and asks if we want him to burn sage. I just tell him no lol. I also think my niece is reincarnated. Sounds crazy but i really believe it. I really think she has the ability to see the other side in some way. She has told my brother that her other mommy and daddy died and now they were her mommy and daddy..and when they die she will get new mommy and daddy...it really weirds me out..and she says all of this in some kinda trance state almost. And after she is done talking about it we cant get her to say ne more about it. its very strange.

A very interesting story! Im usually on here to read about UFO's and Aliens and reading this makes a change. Have you ever video recorded or taken photos in that house? I bet if you did you would notice many orbs?

i havent taken any pictures of anything..or tried to record it. I have always had this theory that Ghosts see what they want to see. But i think this ghost can really see me. And i think it just one ghost that visits me. Im kinda scared to record anything of it...it seems like they are content with being trapped here and overall he/she has been friendly. Im just scared to make it angry i suppose...ill make my brother do it lol

i never believed in ghosts but this is really crazy. I guess im a chicken lol. but hopefully i will take some pics and see what i find

Wow, great story. You should take a voice recorder out to the tree that was chopped down and ask questions. Sounds like a very active location. Sounds like the community needs to have a sage bonfire LOL!!! Well, if anything else happens, you know where to come and talk about it. Thank you for the post.

actually more has happened. The ghost or spirit has left me alone for about a month. I thought maybe he was gone. BUT yesterday i had my niece over and her friend over. They were playing in the front yard and i was watching them and talking to my neighbor. He is the kind of person that is very manly and doesnt believe in ghosts. He thinks its a bunch of crap! But he told me he had been working on putting a small pond in his back yard. He said he had finished it a week ago or so. He also told me that he had filled it with water and put some big gold fish in there. Last week he got home and all the water was gone from the pond and the fish were no where to be found. He didnt have time to fill it back up with water that day. So the next day he went to fill it up with water and all the water was back..but still no fish. It really creeped him out...he even told me he starting to believe this ghost in our neighborhood really exists!!!!!!!

Hey there very interesting account. The advice of Prof. Skrewloose is an effective method.

The salt should be vacumned up and the dustbag emptied of the salt every week/month depending on the amount of activity you're getting and replaced with fresh salt (you only need about a tablespoonful in each corner ... ordinary table salt can be used but sea or rock salt is even better).

White Sage and Sweetgrass is a good blend to use to purify and cleanse your property and 'P.S' is correct in saying pay extra attention to corners.

thats very interesting i never heard of putting salt in corners...hmm i might have to try it. I hope it doesnt disturb the spirit. He has only been a mean spirit once before...i really think there is only one..im really scared to disturb him tho...

Also why do children seem to have this "connection" with the other side?

Hey again,

I can say with 100% confidence and years of experience (I have cleansed and purged many a house of it's spirits over the years), that neither salt nor smudge sticks will make the situation worse ... but if you (or anyone else for that matter) has experience of negative energies / ghosts they will feed on fear ... and mess with your mind if you allow them to ... so even if you feel like a jelly inside act with confidence on the outside. And above all ... DON'T ... believe all the hype you may have seen in horror films.

What about the whole street? Ive come to the conclusion that when i ask him to leave my house he goes to someone else's house. Should i just protect my home? My neighbors burn sage on their front and back door steps..they say it helps. but im unsure.

If you know the source of the disturbance (in this case it sounds like the tree may have been it) ... then I would suggest all those in the street that are willing to, should walk around the area where the tree stood ... with smudge stick ... walking in an anti-clockwise direction (to undo the situation) ... a total of 3 circuits repeating;


'Cleansed and blessed are thee

Now be gone away from me (or we)

As we will ... so mote it be'.


Then you and the other residents should smudge your front and back doors.

If the roots/stump of the tree remain and unrest is not subdued by this minor ritual then it should be removed and burned ... and the remaining ash should be gathered up and thrown into running water (river) where it will be diluted and washed away.

A smudge stick and salt should be buried in the hole and the earth returned to bury it ... as a nice little finishing point a hawthorn or holly bush should be planted in it's place.
