Yeah, I agree, Jon Stewart is awesome. I think the video I will post the link to below totally summarizes the solidity of the climate change deniers argument
Then you lied, you dont think.

I love how with Glenn Beck is the single person in the main stream media that is at least making people think. You might not agree with some of his tactics or what he says, but by God you are a fool if you don't see the good he is doing for this country.
Are their shows on Comedy Central? Yes. Are their shows comedy? Yes. Has comedy ever been used to illustrate legitimate points regarding politics? YES!!!!
So what's it say about our news channels when the viewers of Stewart/Colbert are more in touch with reality??? Hmmm.. go ahead guys, defend Fox News

I'm still waiting for him to prove that his points are right.
The burden of proof falls on the person making the claim, and all.

LOL... I used to watch the Daily Show with J.S. way back before he got political, and he was really funny, but now he is just a leftist mouth piece... he doesn't even write his own material! His material is written by some chick who could be considered a female Michael Moore. If J.S. were to ever write his own material, the show would fail with in a week.

2 or 3 years ago he came to my college to do stand-up. I went to see him, because I KNEW he was a comedian before, and he USED to be funny on the Daily Show. OMFG! You could hear crickets in the aud. He was horrible, no that his jokes were bad, he just wasn't funny... and my college is ultra Lib! People coming out of the aud. were like, "WOW he was HORRIBLE" "What happened, he was funny on the Daily Show". I've even seen some of his old stand up recently, and seriously, he was never really funny.
Yes, but he is a pu$$y
Well, they are in touch with their OWN reality, not ours.
It's pretty bad when even CNN is taking shots at J.S.
Fox News Senior Vice President Michael Clemente struck back at the White House after Dunn's remark saying, "It's astounding the White House cannot distinguish between news and opinion programming. It seems self-serving on their part." ... Fox went on to define its news hours as 9am-4pm & 6-8pm, parameters which exclude Cavuto, O'Reilly, Fox & Friends crew, Glenn Beck, Greta Van Susteren, and Sean Hannity from the news category...
It's your [the administration] job to *bleep* up power, it's Fox's job to *bleep* up truth.
Beck has been fake crying for years. It started on his radio show in Tampa, Fla., where he first turned the confessional mode of the support-circle into fodder for self-denigrating humor and ratings gold. After 10 years, the fake crying is best seen as a corporate brand handle. It differentiates him from tough-guy competitors in a conservative media universe dominated by manly men and manlier women. Even Beck himself is becoming increasingly open about this. The plug for his upcoming "Common Sense" comedy tour describes him as "America's favorite hysterical, fear-mongering, TV and radio crybaby."
Mercury Radio Arts. Therein lies everything you need to know about Fox's new megastar.
Mercury Radio Arts is Beck's production company. It is his pride, his joy, and his multiteat cash cow. The company, whose tag line is "The fusion of entertainment and enlightenment," produces or co-produces his radio and television shows, his live events and his many publishing and digital media projects, all of which promote and expand the Beck brand.
Its full-time staff of 20 is not based in the small-town "Real America" Beck claims to hold so dear, but in the cynical media capital of the world, Manhattan.

Even Faux News themselves don't dare call what he does "news" ...

www.huffingtonpost.com...
^^^^ Source which includes a video of Jon Stewart making sure people know what Fox News execs says about their "anchors"...
A blurb from the video if you don't feel like going to the link and watching what Stewart has to say about it...

I don't give a flying fart-sickle who the messenger is, the message is dead on... even according to Fox News execs.

Hmm . . . he never claimed to be a journalist, or a news anchor.
You might not like what he has to say politically, but at least he is honest and truthful.

Wait, so Glenn Beck does what he does for money, and Jon Stuart.... Doesn't?
Both claim that "they're not journalists"; one claims hes a "comedian"and the other says hes "just a guy".
Jon Stewart isn't near the money whore that Glenn Beck is, no. Does he perform a job to get paid? Sure he does. But he hasn't attempted to build an empire on it and exploit a scared populace.
Stewart operates from a position of struggling through the every day bullcrap by laughing at the absurdity of it all, while Beck contributes to the absurd.
Alright so now I know Stewart's motivation is to make you laugh... and if you knew anything about Jon Stewart you would actually know that is his PASSION, to make people laugh. Stewart didn't start a corporation while rallying against them on a TV show to peddle his goods... Beck, however, did. That's the issue.
If Beck is "just a guy", then what's his inspiration? Money.
Stewart's inspiration is laughter and what makes him special, IMO, is that he not only makes you laugh (doing what he enjoys) but he does it by educating you about the shenanigans our government / "news" programs.

Seems to me there's no real difference except that Beck is better at leveraging his viewership into profits, and of course the POV of their respective fans.
