I for one, especially with this AGW rubbish, applaud how the internet has come and brought us all together, and shown us that there is truth beyond the ptb lies.

They really are having a hard time trying to get anything done now, with the net, bringing us together, lol.

Tv was there massive mind control on mass tool, but today lots of us do not bother with it, and only use the net.

So lets all be thankful, for the irony of the net bringing us truths over there lies. they thought they had won us over with the tv. the tv is massively powerful over people, but the net is an entity that they cannot control so far, lol.

Thoughts......

The internet is yet another brainwashing experience.

To know ourselves, we should be ourselves.

Most people cannot stand that, and that is why we are easy to brainwash.

But with the net we can learn and we can adapt to the truths within us. Its dynamic so we can do all sorts of things, and it can lead us to places like this.

Truth for yourself is only within you, but tv would never get you that truth. Tv was too powerful a platform and its just passive experience, so we just vegetate.

On the net we have a choice. Thats what counts.

Yeah I definitely agree. The internet has been the most liberating thing for me and it exposed me to so many new ideas that I had not been exposed to before and would never have been exposed to. Thanks to the internet I have learned so much.

I also not the buy the propoganda that everything on the internet is false, fabricated and unreliable. More often than not I found what is on the internet more reliabe and valid than on tv or in books. I read what I find on the internet and cross-reference it and most of the time I find it is reliable.

That is true, Andy, but remember that there are as many lies on the internet as there are websites.

Interactive? Yes

Truthful? No

Same old story - humans lie for various reasons - some just out of habit.

There is alot of truths on the net, but of course most info is rubbish. But the thing is we choose, what we believe.

Just think if they where trying to push agw, without the net, none of us would ever had been able to voice our concerns to each other, lol. They would of gotten away with all there lies.

Just imagine how we where all conned until the net came along, and what a great tool the tv was for the elites.

Just like how many bogus alien threads we have here. I choose to totally ignore all alien threads today, even though alien threads broughts me to ats first in 2004. See how dynamic the net is, and how we are all learning from it.

agree entirely, with nearly everything stated so far!
yes of course there is alot of rubbish and misinformation on the net, which i think is a good thing. it teaches us the ability to discern. which of course the tv didn't. and to discern one needs to be in touch with oneself.

to a certain extent, the net has allowed the brain that is the world to communicate with itself, for the first time in its 'accepted' history.

peace and strength

The good thing about the internet as opposed to the TV is that at least with the internet there are varying sides of discussion, there are lots of grey areas inbetween the black and the white.
There are varying viewpoints and possibly one that seems familiar to you, I for one used to watch TV all the time before I discovered the net ( apart from online games of course ).
The bad thing with TV is there is NO opposing view, it's simply their way or the highway, and they never EVER tell you to turn them off and learn for yourself do they?
Whereas the net you can, if you don't like what you read you can go read something else, ok you can flick the channels over on the TV but how often is there something worth watching?

What if you watch TV on the internet?

Lol... just kidding... for me, what the internet is good for is a great big cross reference tool... kind of like the library used to be but much bigger with many more resources available. But what comes with that perk is the requirement of determining what's true and what's not. I like to think so it's a good thing for me... many do not like to think so they revert to watching TV (on the box AND on the internet) and forwarding emails to everyone they know and many don't want other people to think so they revert to finding ways to shut down the internet... same song different tool.

Finding truths is something we all have to find for oneself. Watching tv on net, is not the same, as for one no bloody adverts, lol.

Picking and choosing for yourself, and finding and discerning your own truths, are alot better than a box telling you what to believe.

This is the most truthful statement to catch my eye in a very long time. This is EXACTLY why we continue to go around in the circles we do.

The main reason the migration from Television to Internet is better for us, is because we dont need to watch advertisements/commercials and get subliminally brainwashed by TPTB and marketeers.

Then, as I read once on an article, they will use computers and the internet to personalize product advertising by "a" device being able to scan your ID and advertise products that interest you as you walk past them in supermarkets/malls. That is in the future, until then we have popups.

I dont watch TV

I think its all about choice, and the ability to choose what you do, I for one have had all my TV's disconnected from the outside world, No Satellite, and not aerials, the kids have DVD combos, and we choose what they watch, anything they had with Subliminal's we removed, choosing instead to let them have more educational ones instead. The Joke of that though is that I still have to pay the TV licence fee because i have the internet, so that sucks.

its the same with the internet, I can choose which site i go on, and unlike the TV, if i dont like something i just close it, as with here, i might like the ATS title that comes up on my twitter, but if the subject is not interesting to me, or i dont agree with it, i simply close it. I dont take notice of the adds on any of the sites I go on, and if i do, i see right through them instantly, i really dont think im affected by what ever it is they are trying to sell so for me its a waste of their time and money. Sites like ATS and others i have found to be incredibly educational, and i know without the internet i would still be sat in front of a TV set night after night instead of finding out what's really happening in the would around me though i haven't done that for years either. So i thank ATS and its members at least for that.

But i do fear the internet as a free speech medium is coming to an end, it would seem the American and UK government want to put so many restrictions on it, that people like myself will go back to working with bulletin boards instead, direct down the phone line person to person, im not sure if they can monitor that one,
though they probably can. So i do applaud the internet for what it has given me to date, and worry about its future.
