If Gore really believed his own BS he wouldn't have spent 4.5 million dollars on a beachfront condo last year.

Yes, as I see it, the Earth warms and cools incycles, and at each 'end' of the cycle, it will be HOT or COLD..

The Sun is never mentioned in this debate nor are the impacts of space, the heat from the Earth escapes out in space, they know that but keeps 'forgetting' to tell people about it.

The Sun also warms the Oceans which is what gives off the increase in Co2, it also creates a humidity increase which goes N/S to the poles and eventually makes it cold and that moisture freeze and fall to the ground creating the PackIce called Polar ice...Than the Sun warms the planet again since the moisture is frozen and is not blocking the sun anymore...

It is a cycle, we can t do Nothing, to bad with all the disasters though !

Is this the same Al Gore who claimed that the most recent of the hacked climategate e-mails was 10 years old?

The same Al Gore who is set to benefit from $3.4 BILLION in new "smart grid" government contracts?

Al is an excellent salesmen.... I wonder how long he will be able to continue this fraud.

Well, if Al "The Hoax Man" Gore says it so then, well, I believe

I don't understand.

I've seen a lot of 'climate change is a fraud' and 'global warming is a hoax' threads, but I don't get it. Maybe someone could explain it, because I really am interested and I'm not trying to argue a point.

I thought the scientists were actually measuring the rate at which the ice pack is melting. Aren't they? I mean, if the ice pack keeps getting smaller and smaller, it would seem that is because the earth is getting warmer. Polar bears losing habitat, stuff like that.

Or is the debate about what causes global warming? Whether its man-made, or just a natural occurrence?

I'm not trying to make a point, I'm just confused. Thanks for clearing it up.

keep smiling all,

No, this is the Al Gore that buys Carbon Offsets from his own company and have 3 houses including one heck of a beach house, I think that proves he isn't too afraid of the Ocean rise !!

just the first story I found on Googling Gore and Carbon

Al Gore's Carbon Footprint Is Big.

But before I could write my story, Al Gore got an Oscor for An Inconvenient Truth and someone did some analysis of his carbon footprint and found it was pretty big. I don’t know much about the source.

Here’s the story:
MONDAY • FEBRUARY 26, 2007

A VERY INCONVINIENT TRUTH: POWER: GORE MANSION USES 20X AVERAGE HOUSEHOLD; CONSUMPTION INCREASE AFTER ‘TRUTH’:

The Tennessee Center for Policy Research, an independent, nonprofit and nonpartisan research organization committed to achieving a freer, more prosperous Tennessee through free market policy solutions, issued a press release late Monday:

Last night, Al Gore’s global-warming documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, collected an Oscar for best documentary feature, but the Tennessee Center for Policy Research has found that Gore deserves a gold statue for hypocrisy.

Gore’s mansion, [20-room, eight-bathroom] located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES).

The man is a Known criminal, and he has the Govt. in his back.. What to do ?

It is a mix of topics.
The climate change is real, it is going on, but, some people figured out they are going to Boost it up as a way to get control of the world, see ?

Al Gore is scaring the cheese out of people and they will kneel down and begg for mercy, and give up RIGHTS , do you see ?

One child policy, less income, higher taxes and prises etc..
It is a control mechanism based on Fear from the people.

They cant change any thing, if you think about what they say on MSM, you can hear that they are talking gummybears, it dont makes sense...

The EPA in the USA have made it so that you are breathing out dangerous gas, doesn't that bother you ? (if you live in the US ofcourse)..

This is the same Al Gore who recently stated that the temperature of the Earth's core is 2 million degrees. When I was a kid (1970's) it was believed that we were on the verge of another Ice Age.

I have always been more concerned with Global Cooling than Global Warming. Global Cooling can literally take place overnight. Just Google Krakatoa to see what I mean.

I don't know if the ice at the poles will be gone in 5 years, but I sure as hell hope Al Gore and his pseudo religious climate groupies are gone by then.

Amazing how many people follow the guy as though hes the second coming...Just goes to show what a slick hair do,expensive suit and gift of the gab can do to some people.

Its the salesman's best trick-that and bending the truth of course.

ALGORE has become such a parody of himself.

I wish some organization would do a scientific poll on what people think when they hear the name ALGORE.

I think it would go something like this....

82%......Global Warming Hoax Guy
10%......Former Vice President
8%.......Dr. Frankenstein's lab assistant

What troubles me most is the alarming way people accept the notion that paying a 'tax' will stop the ice from melting. That paying an 'offset' will somehow do anything other than create a new billion-dollar revenue flow for the middlemen to abuse.

It was so important that they flew a hundred planeloads of people and drove a thousand car-loads of 'attendants' to Denmark to 'save' us; in the process belching carbon and sulfides in the air in the name of 'agreeing.'

Al Gore says that the polar ice may go in five years?
Cool. Guess what, the sun may rise out of my arse tomorrow.

And that about sums up this thread, in my book.

THAT Maxmars,is the single most significant issue at the very core of the AGW debate,IMO.Your comment hits the nail right on the head.Star.

With the track record of the elite and their mindless middlemen,How can we expect them to do anything other than their normal MO with this issue-and by their normal MO I mean to pervert,to cheat,to profiteer at the expence of the man on the street.
To us in the western world, the man on the street get higher taxes, job losses,repossesions-which is bad enough, but what does the developing /3rd world get?

They get mass death disease and oppression as they are forced to shut down thier industries and power generation-so that we can continue as normal, under a facade of "green"crap.
Sounds a real good deal,yes?

Meanwhile, the earth continues to do whatever it needs to do-as it has done for millions of years warming,cooling-oblivious to the pathetic attempts of little men in suits running round screaming "global warming!!!"

The only quote that seems fitting that I can come up with here is Jonny Rotten-"Ever get the feeling you've been cheated? Good night"

I just wanted to say one more thing.

Al Gore is not a scientist.
He is a politician/opportunist.

I think you guys all missed this quote from the article as well:

Scientists blame global warming, which has raised temperatures twice as fast in the far north as elsewhere.

Now, I'm no scientist but I find it hard to understand how temperatures in the extreme northern regions (those regions which are frigid due to their location and the angle at which the sun hits it) are warming twice as fast as the rest of the planet? I suppose it's not Global Warming then, it's Regional Temperature Change. The concept that such an immense amount of ice could melt within 5-7 years is laughable at best.

Obviously Al Gore knows nothing of medieval history as it was warmer then than it is now. This is how the Vikings were able to travel to the Americas with relative ease, following a fairly northern based route, before Columbus was ever born. Travel to the Americas was stopped when temperatures cooled increasing the ice en route to dangerous levels. This cooling is well documented in medieval history and was the cause of much famine and misery in many parts of Europe.

(Incidentally, feudal serfs also paid less taxes than we do now.)

Correct me if I'm wrong here but haven't we learned from many branches of science that during times of high global temperatures life has flourished in great quantities and vast variations. It was during the colder periods that we find a decrease in the amount and variety of life on Earth.

Al Gore is a con man who operates under the assumption that all who hear his words are ignorant fools, easily motivated by emotionally charged speeches, who will fall in line without an attempt at individual thought. Maybe I'll start to believe he is honest when he starts condemning China as their carbon output is so extreme there was fear that the Olympic Athletes wouldn't be able to preform due to the horrible air quality.

I think the biggest problem we have in regards to climate change is our deforestization, not our carbon emissions, although even those are intricately linked.

The tree canopy on the planet plays a big part in temperature regulation, not to even mention the fact that the trees absorb that CO2 in the first place.

The Amazon is being destroyed and it is literally the "lungs" of the planet.

So from that angle, requiring all nations to set to a similar standard of development, I can somewhat agree, but there is no way in hell I'll support a TAX to offset my carbon imprint.

It just doesn't make any damned sense.

Global Warming is a hoax and that is the inconvenient truth that people don't want to hear, especially those who want govt. expansion.

Polar ice may disappear within 7 years?
Who's buying this?

Where's the real uncompromised scientific community?
Seriously, aren't you wondering where are they?

Data suggests this, data suggests that bla bla bla
Al Gore is an idiot!

And i'm not buying this BS!

Oh boy! Global Warming is fake? Let's all blow farts to that and you can smoke your cigarettes too! The first time the polar caps will be totally ice free in 55 million years and the cheesiness still continues about people trying to say it's fake!

Yep he is just trying like his film to make emotional attachments to people. He plays on ignorance and the publics short time watching the news, and getting these big headlines.

he just wants it passed, and when it is, there is no going back, even though he is talking bull.

They must be sick of how the internet has brought together a large contingent of people who can analyse above 2-3 mins a day, because of stress of life.

The way they had news on tv, before the net, they may of got away with global warming, but us coming together and speaking about all this together has shown, it to be false, lol.
