Just to note, not an abductee, just saw a UFO. i live in NJ, saw this one while i was visiting my GF in college in Florida (at the time)

1. where you were

FT lauderdale, Florida (boca raton)

2. what time it was

2am, last year exactly. i think it was December 5th or December 4th 2008? (gotta check my plane ticket stub, if i still have it)

3. what happened
Was outside having a smoke, thought id look up and see the clear skies for once (living in the city, you dont see many stars because of light pollution.) i looked to the east, and there it was, flashing round object toward the horizon. colors that were flashing were amber, green, red, blue, white.

4. where were you taken

Not abducted, but, made a believer out of me ill tell you that!

5. feelings

I had a gut instinct that i would see something, i didn't know i would see that thing!

6. thoughts

it was flippin cool!

7. what they looked like

8. things you sensed

sensed nothing, just revealed to me personally that maybe, just maybe all those UFO witnesses were telling the truth! (at least some of them.)

9. did anything change after wards

i went back in to wake the GF up and get her 1500$ camera to take a picture, but it was gone when i went back outside! I would of posted it on ATS right away but... u know, no pics no video means it never happened, so i felt that if i started a thread on it, i would hear it to no end!

As you are no doubt aware it is a very personal thing to give out an experience that to many is nothing but the grand delusions of the deluded. Too many people are always willing to deem an abductee/contactee as a nut even though at first they might try to listen with an open mind.

The subject can and does slip into the realms of the esoteric so quickly not because it is wild and a figment of the mind but probably because the phenomenon does touch upon the esoteric elements of our lives.
Sadly this is not a reality that impinges much upon the reality of the person striving to work through their day and doing the things a billion others do every single day.

Until the phenomenon becomes part of the reality in the way “X Torture” and “Celebrity Get Me Some Publicity” is part of our realities then we will always be guarded and prone to watching the reactions of those we talk to about our experiences.

The only reason I am so open about it is because I am by nature a confident person and thus I do not really care what some “log” thinks, so much so I can have my face in my avatar and not even worry about meeting a real life neighbour.

I am more in touch with reality than they are at this moment in time. Hopefully in a short amount of time they will catch up – detachment from mainstream society brings sadness after a time.

ANSWER ... Well, I always feel that she (and others like her) are trying to tell us that there are answers to many modern-day 'unknowns' left over from the ancient world ... the word that comes to mind here is 'cyclactic' ... the past is the present ... is the past is the present (like an ongoing spiral).

We can learn from the past to move forward from the present into the future !

It's really strange because when I was told these things they made perfect sense ... now when I try to explain it's more like ... what the ... !

When I say 'others like her' ... what I mean is that I believe I am a small cog in a great machine if you will ... I believe there are many, many people out there with there own few pieces of the vast jigsaw.

How/when will these pieces come together to provide the full picture ... I have no idea (at the moment) ... but I'm sure there is a method to it that as yet we are unaware of.

how very true...thanks for clarifying and actually it made sense to me what you were saying but in a way it is hard to word to try and explain but i think i got the gist of what you were saying....

on another note have you ever thought about doing something to clear your mind...i know the natives go out with no food or water until they have a vision and then come back into their tribe with a better understanding of certain things....i do not reccommend this specific thing but have you ever thought you may need a better clarity of things in order to fully understand them? i guess thats my question

people seem to also feel its ok to go thru hypnosis but some leave with more questions than answers....idk im just ramblinig on now so i guess take this post as you will....

I HAVE AN AMAZING STORY....I WAS RESEARCHING THIS GUY THAT CALLS HIMSELF PROPHET YAHWEH....I FOUND A NEWS BROADCAST THAT WAS ON LIVE TV WHERE HE "SUMMONED" A UFO....I HAD TRIED THIS A FEW NIGHTS IN A ROW WITH NO PROGRESS SO I CHANGED MY APPROACH

WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF "PRAYING" I HAD NUMEROUS SIGHTINGS...ALTHOUGH MY DAUGHTER HAD TAKEN OFF WITH MY CAMERA I DID NOT GIVE UP HOPE....I HAVE DRAWN PICTURES TO DICTATE WHAT I SAW THAT NIGHT...

I understand the point you make and I think that might be valid for some ... however, I would never consider and would advise others against hypnosis for recalling abduction memories.

As a PLRT myself, I have a good grasp of hypnosis ... and whilst it's excellent in it's place (where 'suggestion' is required eg; be rid of a phobia etc), I definately believe that hypnosis can lead to 'false memory' when used to recall either abduction memories and/or pastlife memories.

Even with a reputable and qualified therapist suggestion can be made inadvertantly by a single word in the wrong place (too risky IMHO).

On a personal note I feel that I recall things as I am ready too ... in a natural way. In fact I'd go as far as to add that there have been times when I have been on the verge of putting a piece in the right place and something unexpected has happened to block me.

1.- I don't exactly understand the fear thing. I actually see a therapist and we've worked on that for awhile. Maybe it's a total lack of control, of something invading my personal space at night, when I'm the most vulnerable. Maybe it's the faces, the eyes. Being in their presence isn't like being around "people" or animals, or anything like that. It's different, like being underwater. Hard to explain. Then again, maybe they drug/manipulate us to that state. I don't know.

2.- Reading that again, I'd say Anger is a strong word to use. It was more annoyance. Like being inconvenienced.

3.- The sick thing came from the hypnosis. (Which was an odd experience in itself).

4.- I actively see the therapist, so I don't know, sooner than later I imagine. It's a process.

And a note about the hypnosis. My therapist is licensed to do that and EMDR and, she was very reluctant to do it at first. I was/am aware of all of the potentials concerning hypnosis and I decided to go with it because the EMDR didn't give me clarification, (but it helped with the fear some). I'm not treating the hypnosis like fact. It's what it is, I'm just trying to see what comes of it, to see what bits and pieces seem to make sense. I'm trying to find some kind of clarification because there is so much I do not remember, and if I did, maybe I wouldn't be so fearful.

Even if it doesn't help with the fear, I'll always wonder otherwise. At least this way, I can get an idea. A direction.

very true and i hope you do get the right direction out of it....thanks for answering my questions and clearing some things up....and maybe you fear it because it is unknown...most people are that way

hopefully some day you can put the pieces of this puzzle together and overcome your fear one day....i honestly hope that you do not let it consume you though....dont forget it but dont prioritize it either...anyways
