There are some pretty intelligent posts on this thread.

That being said, it is important to note that the Christians (me, too) should learn that the proof of God as a scientific fact is, at best, elusive. Your (and my) zeal for God makes you (and me) trip and fall into the moocowman pit of "you can't prove God, therefore He can't exist."

You have Faith in God, not Facts on God. Forget about proof. Maybe one day something will scare the hell out of an atheist and make him a believer, too.

That's up to God.

Why is the word God such a word of holy magnitude?? Ask yourself this, when you visit another planet and encounter a local, what would be the first thing you'd say? You'd obviously introduce yourself. But you won't say your name, you'd say your Human and from another planet. What if the Alien race introduced to us the same way? What if their race is called God, like how we are called humans?

Its not a word of that magnitude. Its simply an English word used in translation. In reference to the Bible its normally used to translate the term Elohim.

Biblically speaking Elohim isn't the name of the Most High (another Biblical title El Elyon). Instead the name is the tetragrammaton, which is normally translated as Lord or sometimes Adonai. The ineffable tetragrammaton is the word of magnitude. When you see in the English the phrase the Lord G-d or the Lord your G-d, it's a translation of "The Name" Elohim or "The Name" your Elohim.

This Name is considered most holy and the pronunciation has been lost since the Roman destruction of the Jewish temple in 70 CE.

hmmm... isn't Elohim the PLURAL form of god? meaning gods?
I was pretty sure that the suffix -im marked plural, where eloh would be
"god" or "him from above" and adding -im would make it "gods" or "them
from above"?

I'm pretty sure the first bible in greek said "gods " also.

sorry for the offtopic post.

Elohim in hebrew is the plural of the term Eloha, but it's used in the singular as well in some translations. Why the israelites called their GOD GODS is beyond me

Shema YisraelAdonai Eloheinu Adonai Echad

Hear, O Israel: the Lord is our God , the Lord is One

Bere# bara Elohim et hashamayim ve'et ha'arets.

In the beginning God created heaven and earth.

Please notice the use of the words in bold: Adonai - God and Elohim - Gods

So who were the Elohim? its kinda confusing really

I in no way claim that anything "cannot" exist including yahehs Jesuses or creators of the Universe.

I merely observe there is no conclusive evidence of the existence of any of these, except for the evidence for the Jesus son of Joseph, which would appear to have been a real dude but unfortunately not the one that most xtians want to be real.

You have Faith in God, not Facts on God. Forget about proof. Maybe one day something will scare the hell out of an atheist and make him a believer, too.

Well this pretty much sums up xtianity, not only does it continue to to dwell in the world of superstitious fantasy of demons and fairies but never fails to employ terrorism for those that choose not to comply.

Get a grip man rational people don't get scared that often let alone by invisible people in the sky,
I won't love your god because he fails to provide evidence for his existence and hides behind rubbish scriptures.

The penalty for this non compliance to the will of the allegedly benevolent creator of everything is an eternity of misery and torture, throwing the idea of free will completely out the window.

Dude, if there are aliens from other dimensions or planets then they can be good bad or indifferent and if there is creator of all that there is, then it created the lot, so that is where responsibility lays period.

If you want to label these things demons, angels or Shreck go ahead, delight yourself in the fantasy nothing wrong with having a life of fun and drama. But for goodness sake don't go round telling little children or the weak of mind that these things are real without some solid evidence of such.

We probably know very little of our universe and galaxy let alone others so we can but speculate until we can perhaps observe and measure.

Trying to overlay bronze age mythology upon modern day speculation is one thing and could perhaps yield some interesting postulation.
But lets keep our feet firmly on the ground when we do so and remember we are speculating, something I have no objection to and are not dealing with facts.

A demon in a flying disk, is no more nor less likely than a winged gnome in my hamster wheel.

Zechariah is the only person to describe an Angel with wings out of how many Angel encounters in the Bible?

Ezekiel says wings also but he's referring UFO craft, not flapping bird wings.

Wheres the part about Demons with wings now?

This is really interesting to read along and follow. I have just a quick question, maybe some one can give an opinion that would help me understand a little better, or open another dialogue door.
Since we as humans operate within this world using the senses that we have, how is it, that we can be so sure to know beyond the senses we have? Particularly the sense of sight. The visible light spectrum that we navigate around with is very limited, very narrow. I would always like more proof before forming an opinion into fact, but this has been something thats always gnawed at me. It could be expressed as limited input to our left and right in short. Just a question.

You can click on your name in the "replied to" line for the exact post he is quoting you on...

He said it because your posts sound arroganct and give off an absolute "knowledge" of what your opinion is.

I think it is due to the way you write...Many of your posts give off an air of superiority (at least in this thread)...Like you are right and everyone else is wrong...

Just trying to give you heads up....no harm intended...

After all you may be right!

The arrogance of some people. How do you know you are right? Where's the beef?

Its one thing to believe and have faith on a certain subject, (which is totally cool with me) and a completely different thing to KNOW they are right and everyone else is wrong with no foundation backing up their claim. You know that you're right, but even in that mindset, you cannot convince others. How does this work?

I cannot think of a single scenario throughout my entire life that I was absolutely positively sure on a something which in an event I was unable to show others that I was correct, or incorrect. If you are so certain then it would be easy to persuade others to "know" that you are right, too.

We will just to agree to disagree and that's fine with me. But don't go around saying that "I'm right and you're all wrong because I say so." with no substance. That's called circular logic.

HAHA, not entirely sure how religion got mixed up with the whole UFO/E.T phenomenon.

First of all, I don't think the people in the movie were being "possessed by demons who pretended to be aliens". That's pretty hilarious, in my opinion. Demons, if you believe in them, are a completely separate entity from aliens. You should not mix the two, although I see some people have already had the pleasure of doing so. Sure, the people in the movie seemed like they were being possessed Exorcist style, but that was most likely some form of mind control.

Why did the alien say it was god? Well that leads back to the whole Ancient Astronaut Theory, a theory that was slightly touched upon in the movie when the Sumerian culture was being briefly explained. The A.A.T states that extraterrestrials visited Earth in ancient times and because of their highly advanced technology, the primitive people regarded them as divinity (I'm sure most of you knew that, just stating it in case some of you didn't). So it makes perfect sense as to why it said it was god.

Not sure how people came to the ridiculous conclusion that demons are pretending to be aliens and that UFO's are angels or whatever nonsense was being said. Is it really THAT difficult for you religious fanatics to believe in other life forms besides our own in in this vast, nearly infinite universe? Brainwashed, ignorant people.

Listen moocow,I'm only going to say this once....
I don't care what you think about me,you're opinion is of no importance to me.BUT,you go to far in, posting, that I would ever endanger a child.
For your info,I didn't watch the video,I knew where you were heading. If I
watched it and got mad,I would file a complaint against you to the mods!

Now, moocow, the topic is about aliens and UFO's.Do you have anything to
contribute other than bashing me?

I don't know whether you would or wouldn't as much as you don't know that I wouldn't, and may I say I did not intend to insinuate that you would do so intentionally.

For your info,I didn't watch the video,I knew where you were heading. If I watched it and got mad,I would file a complaint against you to the mods!

I was more hoping that you would watch and consider carefully the type of nonsense in relation to demons and such, that is spoon fed to children the most captive audience on earth.

If you feel like getting mad and filing a complaint be my guest i have not broken T&Cs and have been pretty well mannered about all this er,em, demons thingy

Now, moocow, the topic is about aliens and UFO's.Do you have anything to contribute other than bashing me?

Now, dear lady the thread topic is The 4th Kind&Aliens/Demons connection. You chose to introduce your religious beliefs ---

The closer you get to God and the truth, the more you are under demonic attack. That is why we have so much confusion on many topics.

I'm not bashing you but I am critical of your strange beliefs and your absolute refusal to provide any evidence whatsoever into the debate other than ---

did research on UFO's for over 20 years, that is what I learned.Demons and fallen angels are posing as UFO occupants. They do have an agenda...Enslaving mankind and having us worship them instead of the true God.They are behind the NWO and pull all the political strings on this planet.

The King James Bible and any books by John Keel! I believe UFO's to be interdimensional, not intergalactic.

I do live in my own little world and I love it! The black ops is good! How about holographic projections?

Indeed, this little world you seem to live in would appear far removed than from where the rest of us hang out, hey and more power to you, live where the hell you like that's your choice.

But again it is of concern when these ideas, are taught to children who will believe everything they are told (an example in the videos) the very least we could do Is provide at leas some proof for the more exotic ideas.

It would be the height of arrogance or stupidity to claim that there can be nothing beyond our senses.
It would appear that the boffins in white coats propose other dimensions and such and the quantum world seems to hint at this.

But equally it is the height of arrogance to make any claims to anything beyond our senses without evidence, but there is nothing wrong with speculating.

Discussions of UfOs and aliens can be great fun and challenging but when these topics get embroiled with religious beliefs and dogmatic assertions pah, it just turns into another bloody sermon.
