Don't rely on the pictures, unless you are sure that they aren't photoshopped.

No that information is false because believe it or not, Fox News told the truth regarding the Russian Defense Minister, he refused to confirm it. That Yahoo story is disinformation.

Here is the Fox News Article:

Snippet from Fox News Article:

Russia's defense ministry refuses to confirm that the lights were caused by its Bulava missile...

The mystery continues...

I can almost accept that the perfection of the spiral is because it was in the upper atmosphere with no wind... what I still have not found is ANYONE attempting to explain the abrupt dissapearance of said spiral from the inside out.

I was thinking it was a rocket when i read this thread, before the the russians admitted it. I live in Phoenix and i see the trails left behind from rocket tests in new mexico frequently. The image that is circled is exactly what they look like. Of course i've never seen the spiral effect, but our rockets don't fail like that. But you're right about the lack of wind that high in the atmosphere. Makes perfect sense. I think the case is closed.

Leave it to russian technology to fail so spectacularly.
(just kidding russians, kinda)

I still wonder though this person took a photograph:

www.paranormalmagazine.co.uk...

it is taken on a tripod with long exposure. Now, this event took about 10 minutes at most. I know how difficult it is to shoot something that is happening, you must get your gear, set it up, position it, focus, do other stuff, and then take a shot. Plus, you have to have a tripod on that time & place.

Kinda curious isn't it? seems a pretty remote place. And if it is someone who went to work, who takes his camera plus a tripod with it?

From the post:

some purple smoke some distance north of where it happened slowly drifting further north.

The old purple cloud remnant of so many UFO sightings.
Well just two recently on ATS were the JFK assassination day
photos left under a bridge with a ring in the sky and dark
areas and the Rex Heflin flat saucer exhaust ring and associated
dark cloud perhaps only noticeable in the photo.
Definitely a UFO trait.
Not determined so far from the report of a witnessed takeoff is
if forces or wind go toward the craft or away as in rockets.
With all the people being being drawn to the craft and knocked
out, like Walton, or drawn up like in abductions,
dis info reigns with every UFO event as prepared by Illuminati
agents.

They claimed to have fired from the White Sea, only problem with that explanation is the spiral originated from a mountain

It came from behind a mountain.

Where the White Sea is.

Look at a map.

And it was flying from there AWAY from the observers, eastwards.

Now the white sea is 500km away. Its hard to belive you can see the exaust 500km away leading in the direction away from the viewers.

This is what is called an "argument from imaginative incapacity". where a person equates his ability to conceive of something, with the existence of that thing.

300 miles away. how high would something have to be to be seen on the horizon of an observer's location?

Calculate this and report back to the class.

Now compare that to the altitude that ICBMs fly through.

But dont forget to calculate angle of sight.
Which to me looked close to the horizon, which means it couldnt have been over 400 km away. Had to be much closer

Do the math. The answer may surprise -- and enlighten -- you.

I can't do this for you.

Here is the White Sea:

And then look up Tromsø Norway on google maps.

And then tell me they couldve had "line of sight" from Tromsø

It's confirmed.

The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that a Bulava ballistic missile test had failed.....

"It has been established ... that the missile's first two stages worked as normal, but there was a technical malfunction at the next, third, stage of the trajectory," Reuters quoted a Defense Ministry spokesman as saying.......

"This is a catastrophe ... Huge funds were siphoned off from Russia's moribund navy for the Bulava project. In fact, billions of dollars have been flushed down the drain," Alexander Khramchikhin, chief analyst at the Moscow-based Institute of Military and Political Analysis, told Reuters.

I made an illustrated map for you guys:

There's more than 400 km between the sighting and the White Sea. Probably closer to 600 km.
And the terrain is full of mountains

Thats the part that I found stranger than the spiral itself
The way the darkness spread from the center outward is like nothing
that ive ever seen before outside of movies.
In fact, when I watch the blackness begin, I keep expecting to hear
a Sci Fi sound effect.
It really looks like some kind of CGI visual effect from a Star Trek movie.

Is that the official report.
Flushed down the drain.
Too funny.

This has to be a message to Obama.

By the NWO, the Illuminati or Alien dimensionalists UFOs for
some reason, most likely to mind their business.

And still nobody can tackle as to why it happened... Guess there isn't anything for them to copy and paste that explains it.

The distance from Tromsø to the White Sea is about the same as distance between Buffalo NY to New York city. No way would a missile launch be visible all the way in Tromsø. Especially when you consider its a mountainous region

From your post:

Ever see the lightning strikes from the ISS.
Its a popular video with UFOs and such.
The lightning strike is followed by an expanding ring of light.
Not to go into the electrical physics too much but perhaps this
is what is happening with this ring, its totally electrical in nature.
Of course if you smoke and made smoke rings, they would expand
as well.
