Spectacular Phenomena In The Sky. What Is It?

Not sure if this is a stupid question or even if someone has asked previously but... how come all the pics/video show the spiral vortex (whatever the blue thing is) with the large/thick end on the left and the thin end on the right...

Has anyone seen any pics/video of this from the other direction?

It looks like a tractor beam! Quick moon people, reverse shield polarity!

Seriously though, I have no idea what that could be... Iv never seen anything like it.

Not completely sure if you're being sarcastic, and I'm definitely not a science major. The mention of angelic portal can be ignored by whosoever. All I want to know is how does a rocket fail or explosion result in a stationary... STATIONARY, spiral of light on to dissipate into a blue/black orb to hole in appearance?

If this is an event horizon,you might expect to see more of these in the next few years,and much larger ones,and by then,it will be too late,we will be ripped to shreds. You have to look for science for some things people. Stop blaming it on missiles, angels and demons,etc. This is exactly why the human race may never make the grade. Too many small minds,nothing personal.

What everyone is seeing in the pictures is a light show from the ground. When I was young we used to take flashlights and shine then outside on foggy nights because you could make believe you had a laser gun. If you shine a light into a cloud with an image or images in it, same thing happens although I think it's a little more complicated with how they're doing it.

The tail end nearest to the ground does look like a rocket trail, however perhaps it was launched at something in the sky - where the blue hue and missile meet.

I was kind of saying I think the idea that this was caused by a wayward rocket is just as absurd as it being some sort of religious sign. The spiral of light looks stationary, but its not. In better quality videos (like the one shown on NBC Nightly News tonite, you can see that the ENTIRE spiral of light is rotating. Then, a dark hole expands QUICKLY from the center.

If this were smoke from some rocket, it would have hung around, and dissipated, much like a chemtrail that lingers behind an airplane, until it eventually thins out.

Yeah see, that's what I'm getting at, too. Why was the ENTIRE spiral rotating? Why were there more than one "arm" rotating simultaneously? And how did the black spot expand so rapidly and "consume" the spiral?

I'm not closed off to any particular possibility. I'm not an expert so as a skeptic I have to remain open to all the possibilities, so I hope no one takes my questions as a sign that I have embraced any particular hypothesis. I have not. I just don't understand how a rocket spiraling away from the vantage point of the camera could produce these effects. That may be lack of knowledge on my part though, so hopefully someone can clue me in.

It just looks incredibly unnerving for some reason.

It has been the nature of the Russians to deny any failed missile launch. They really have done it for around 59 years now. Standard procedure from them.It is expected.

Yeah sure! it's standard procedure from them... but I was not talking about the Russians in my post!

I'm talking about the Norwegian military!

They should have spilled the beans earlier, and when they were asked about it the first time, if they knew about the launch and had been informed about it before the launch!

I see two arms as well but the fact they are unequal in size leads me to believe in the faulty rocket theory as well.

One arm looks "fuzzy" or more dispersed like if there were TWO leaks, or rather two major areas that were visible to the naked eye of dispersed fuel. One arm could be a larger gash creating the fuzziness and one arm could be a tighter gash in the rocket causing a thinner looking arm.

Someone asked the question earlier "why does the center at the end look darker than the rest" A black dot in the middle of a light area will look darker than a large dark area surrounding a light. It's also an optical illusion.

If the arms were perfectly the same size then I might give an alternative theory greater weight, but the faulty rocket theory seems greater supported by faulty non matching arms.

ALSO, the arms are in a V formation.. not opposite one another which again attests to some sort of gash, burst out area, exploded section etc.. The side which gave out first has two trails.. maybe because of the big Russian bolts that is in the middle of the bad region.. they do make some big bolts I heard..

It's where the higher populace is located with more cameras.. If you go on YouTube and do a search on Norway Spiral, watch a vid that is 5 min in length. At one point a pic is from the opposite side you are describing and you see a LARGE contrail going to the ground which looks like a ton of other rocket launches I've seen

But it does not happen that way since we are talking about very high above what we normally call atmosphere. Things work allot differently up there to how they work down at normal jet-accessible altitudes.

Think of it another way. Its not a dark hole expanding outwards, but the last particles in the rocket exhaust being flung away... without any more reflective particles, the dark background sky is finally revealed.

I would give this one more time to make sure a failed rocket launch of some kind can be ruled out. With the MoD recently closing their UFO hotline, they would like nothing more than for this to turn out to be a rocket launch gone bad to make Ufologists look nutty.
